Mrs Dunnock here, I was kindly asked to review this birdseed on behalf of myself and the other birds that frequent this nice man's garden....?We like it for it's wide variety of seeds and dried fruit pieces. We particularly enjoy the black Sunflower Seeds best. It is very good value - 5kg for under £9. I was looking for a good qulaity bird food at a reasonable price, in a good container too, as the last 2 sacks I had stored in my shed were eaten into by mice, and that was at the rear of the sack so the mice had had a good feed before I discovered they had eaten it.I know the container might be the last thing on other peoples mind, but because of that experience and the fact I have problems picking heavy things up now, the handle was also most welcome.The birds just LOVE this bird seed and we now seem to have a greater variety of birds now. the pigeons also appreciate the food dropped on the floor by the small birds, and they keep the garden tidy by eating it all up.Price wise it isn't the cheapest or most expensive,

This is a very good mix offering seed for a large variety of the birds that visit my garden.I had looked for a way of contacting the Amazon before writing this review but couldn't find one.As shown, it comes in a tub, unfortunately for me the lid was smashed and upside down in the box so a lot of the seed had fallen out and some was lost. the courier pointed it out on delivery because he had seed in his van and was willing to take it back, but I needed it. I have taken photo's of the damaged packaging and seed loose in the box that the tub was in.However, this was just unlucky I think and I will be buying again because the product is good.

Very good quality. The birds that regularly visit the garden like it.Arrived in two plastic bags. More sturdier than the tub they pack 5kg.Oddly cheaper to but two 2.5kg bags at present of Erdtmann Summer Bird Food as opposed to the plastic tub 5kg of the same product which was £8.79 when I last ordered it - or their regular 5kg tub - both of which are out of stock.Handy tip: retain your empty 5kg plastic Erdtmann tubs - a) because Amazon usually send tubs damaged b) the tubs are very handy receptacles for two 2.5kg bags of Erdtmann's Bird seeds.

I use these in the bird seed feeder and the smaller birds love them. We have had a variety of sparrows (including fledglings) tits, finches loving these. The larger birds sit underneath the feeder and pick up those bits that drop down. I do keep them in a sealable container as the feed contains what look like dried insects and I didn't want anything hatching out in the utility room. Nothing has yet though and the birds love the variety of 'tastes'. I am about to order more and this will be my third order. I have now received my fourth order

The birds appear to really like this food. So if you have an endless bank balance you can buy it and feed them until they are huge.However my birds clear out a feeder full of this in about a week. Which is too quick. I like the birds, but not enough to spend that much on the giant pack that seems to assemble and consume this food. So they only get a feeder full once a month to stop them eating the grass seed on the lawn.In the winter I may fill it more.

all looks good, cannot describe flavour as i am not a lover of wild bird food, i dropped 1 star as the box it arrived in had been opened AGAIN, and i think it is to see what is inside, nothing of value and so left like that a damaged box on my inner doorstep, just glad it was not glassware or some precious gold or silver, as i say see through bird seed container is all fine, box had been opened.

Bought this food to feed the larger birds (mainly magpies) who raid the feeder as it was good value. I use a premium version of bird seed in a small caged feeder that I fill for the small birds. I couldn't afford to keep supplying the large birds at the rate they were depleting the seed so switched to this due to cost. All sizes of birds like this seed mix. I has peanuts and raisins in it too.

Seems really good quality compared to cheaper brands. Happy with it and so it seems are the birds. Useful tub for storage and recycling for refills compared to packs which can't be resealed. Good delivery time and appreciated the communication from the seller. Note - can't comment on the flavour and the birds aren't talking!

Box is useful and reasonably robust so hopefully should last a few refills. The mix is decent, a good even blend of nuts and seeds, and not an excessive amount of filler. As usual my Jackdaws and Pigeons love it but I'm also seeing a return of some smaller birds after switching from a cheaper supermarket product.

£4 is good value for such a large bag (and variety) of seeds. For my picky garden birds, it's missing some millet and sunflower hearts, but sprinkle a few on top and it's all go! The oats initially get left behind, but they're usually cleared up later.A good option if you can't get to the shops at the moment.

Good value seed, which seems popular with the birds. Interestingly, the Amazon review process invites me to rate this product for "Flavour". I've asked thebirds but, so far, thye've ignored the question and no, I'm not going to taste it myself!

The birds have gone mad for these!! I have gone through 70 fat balls in 4 weeks. A bit quieter now that the baby birds have flown, but still getting birds on the garden fighting over them. I also break them up and place on the bird table.

The birds and squirrel love the food, never seen so many different birds in the garden in the 4 years I've lived here, especially with the amount of cats that are in the area, mine sit in the window imitating the birds chirps!!!!!

So many products are heavily millet based and this seed is fantastic, really good value. As you can see there is an excellent range of seeds and my birds are very very happy!! The tub is robust too and very durable looking.
