Hawker originally conceived and developed the Typhoon as a fighter - a successor to the Spitfire and their own Hurricane. In its early days, the Tiffy was dogged by problems - it was disconcertingly prone to fall to pieces at high speed, much to the pilot's short-lived dismay. It evolved, however, into one of the finest ground attack aircraft of the war. Operating as a bomber ("Bomphoon") or with air to ground rockets ("Rocketphoon") the Tiffy took terrible toll of the Wehrmacht in the latter stages of the war.EasyModel manufacture a seemingly endless line of military models; not toys, but rather collector pieces. Smart little 1/72 scale model with very nice painting and decals. Only takes a minute to unpack and mount on the stand. Why mess about building a kit when you can buy something like this ready made? The model also feels very solid, despite being plastic Very fast delivery with excellent packaging (mine came in 48hours). The stand out models in this range are those with the most ornate paint jobs. Will definitely buy other models from the series.
