Well, your child won't know it's missing something if you don't buy this sound module, as the Bruder toys come with pretend lights anyway. But Grandma wanted to buy it as part of a present for my 4-yr old. This module clicks into place very easily and has 4 small push buttons on the top - 1 for flashing lights only, 1 for flashing lights and siren, 1 for a deep horn noise and 1 for an engine sound. After reading some reviews about it's volume I wasn't much looking forward to it, but in fact it's not overly loud at all, compared with some other toys in our house. And my little boy loves it, so I'm glad mean old Mummy didn't deprive him of it. As for durability,

Not sure if Bruder have updated this product but the one we've just received (Sept 2016) differs from the item described.It now has four sound functions:1; Engine2; Police 'yelp' (US?)3; Police siren (Europe typ France')4; Fire sirenThere is NO switch inside the battery compartment to change mode from Europe to US.Lights are easily changed by turning anticlockwise one eighth of a turn and lifting, replace by locating into position and then turning one eighth turn clockwise.Fits nicely onto the MAN garbage truck but the revised sirens arent really appropriate so only four stars.

Not cheap for what they are and do but interesting addition. They work well and are easy to fit. Light covers are interchangeable but not as easy to change as it shows - so take your time to study well. The only annoying thing is that they're "one type fits all", so for a tipper truck instead of "reversing" beeps you get a police/fire siren. Still, kids like pushing buttons, so it has a purpose

Bought this module to go with the Bruder crane as my lads Christmas present, really makes the difference with the main toy. Easy to remove original fitting and replace with this, not overly loud either so does not drive you crackers as he plays with the crane. Shame it did not come as part of the original toy, but not overly priced either. Would recommend.

We bought this to attach to a large working crane that we gave to our grandson for his 4th birthday. It fitted easily, worked well and was instantly a 'hit' for him as was the crane itself. The only thing that bothered us was that cranes don't usually flash blue lights accompanied by a police siren noise! The other yellow option with sound was excellent.

My grandson loves this but we cannot seem to change it from siren sounds - we swapped easily from blue to orange light covers ( provided) but cannot seem to move from siren sounds. That said my grandson loves it and I don't think he would have enjoyed the bin lorry as much without it

we bought these to go on the cab of a bin lorry, bought for my grandson who loves his bin lorries, especially the bruder ones. fits perfectly (as i knew it would) and lends a more realistic edge to there play times. very happy. very well packaged and prompt delivery.

Nice accessory to add to the Bruder truck range. My only criticism is that there are no instructions on how to change the coloured lenses and I had to resort to looking at the questions and answers posted by others. For info, they twist (firm action required).

Another great Bruder toy! My 4 year old son loves this, even though he prefers playing with it without attaching it to his truck!!! He loves the siren sounds, flashing lights, etc, and the sounds last a good time with each button press too!!!

I have purchased two of these now, one for my Son`s garbage truck and one for his tipper truck. They make fantastic vehicles even better.Simple to fit, just clip in place in roof hole. Comes already fitted with batteries and ready to go !!

Good but it's a shame it's mainly emergency services sounds. I bought for the construction vehicles and there's only 1 button that goes with that. Which is an engine sound. The rest are sirens. Could do with a horn or reversing beep sound.

Each truck has a kind of sun roof, easily unclips and then you just slot this unit in. So easy, it great fun and you can just change it on to whichever truck you want it in. I would recomend this accessory for any bruder truck.

This was purchased as an extra for a Bruder truck and the two iems worked well together. It was quite noisy and I am not sure if the parents share my enthusiasm for this item - but who cares as long as the kids are having fun!

Delivery was very good and grandson couldn’t wait to put it on his lorry, was chuffed with the lights and siren and they are always going, he’s had loads of enjoyment and hasn’t managed to break it yet so that’s a plus.

Bought this as a Christmas present for my 6 yr old grandson to use with the Bruder trucks I have bought him. Adds to the authenticity of the Bruder toys and he loves it. Highly recommend all Bruder toys.
