My current PC setup is an i7 920 from 2008, so my desktop PC is probably in need of a refresh. Now as my 2010 Mac Pro handles all my photo & video editing, that means I can be a bit more free with picking either an AMD or intel setup.Of course getting new RAM through means I now have an official reason to upgrade my PC. Thankfully birthday also came around and I ended up with a Asus - STRIX B350-F GAMING motherboard and Ryzen 5 2600 (my first AMD setup since a DX4-100!).As siad before, this is DDR4 ram. DDR4 ram works with either intel or AMD motherboards / cpus . THis pack holds two sticks of 8GB, making a matched pair of 16GB. The blurb on the box says it runs at 2666 MHz, which is the slowest of the range,but also the cheapest (Corsair will be releasing 4000 MHz ram and higher soon). If you are buying a non-overclocking motherboard / CPU of if you want a low price computer setup, then this will be more than fine for you. Also 16GB will be more than enough memory for most people, but you can get a second pair for 32GB on most boards with four DIMM slots.Of course the main draw for these DIMMs is the RGB lighting.The tops of the DIMMs are frosted plastic to make the ten individual RGB LEDs blur into each other for a smooth lit look. The DIMMs are in two case colours: Vengeance RGB PRO White and Vengeance RGB Black. The memory chips and LEDs are the same, just the plastic shell is a different colour. There are more white computer components available to buy now, so you don't have to go with the old bog standard black (unless you want to). Also, the DIMMs don't need any extra cables to connect for the LEDs to work, it's all done through the slot.Slotting in the DIMMS was a doddle and after I had updated the motherboard firmware (seems to cure a lot of initial problems), Windows installation was a breeze and I downloaded the iCUE software that has all the lighting controls. When the program is running, either click on Instant lighting to pick a single colour or hit the Vengence RGB Pro section and mess around with colour, and movement to your heart's delight. You can also switch off the colour here as well (which I did after about half an hour, 'cos I'm old). There's also other components that have RGB LEDs (ie, keyboards, fans, etc) and with the iCUE software you can sync all the coloursEverything just works now. The system is incredibly snappy with a SSD boot drive and a new quiet PSU. This is good memory.

I originally put my PC together in August 2016 with an Intel i7-6700K processor, Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Gaming 3 EU motherboard and 2 x 8GB Corsair Vengeance 3200 DDR4 RAM. The RAM cost just over a hundred quid at the time and I had planned to get a second 16GB when I had the money, but the cost of RAM has more than doubled in that time so I kept tracking the price and putting off buying more.Assembling my PC back in 2016 was a real pain, and I doubt whether I would buy a Gigabyte motherboard again, it's just so touchy, with me pulling my hair out for the first month of ownership just trying to make all the components work together.Eventually it settled down and I could run my RAM at 3200MHz.So I was super-excited to get this pack of 2 x 8GB Corsair Vengeance RAM to test. This is the 3000MHz version with an LED light display. The LEDs are not really meaningful to me as my PC case doesn't have a viewing window but it is attractive when in use. Corsair say the LED display doesn't affect performance in any way.What I didn't bargain for is that my Gigabyte motherboard really isn't interested in having all four strips of RAM in place at the same time. I can run my original RAM or this new RAM just fine, but plug them all in at once and by PC boot loops. Gigabyte support simply say you can't mix two different speeds of RAM, but given that I was running it at 2000MHz I find this hard to believe.So, what have I learned? That my PC requires exactly matched RAM, not just extremely similar. That I should have bought all my RAM when it was cheaper two years ago. I kind of wish that Corsair didn't need to produce variants of RAM with slightly different clock speeds, but I'm not sure this observation helps.

Okay, so, it's RAM.Not the most exciting thing in the world, right? But if you don't have any RAM, your computer is not going to, well, work.So you need RAM. Why buy this set? Because it's goooood. And, as the title says, it also looks good!To get it out of the way: This is DDR4 RAM. DDR4 only works with certain motherboards (and hence certain processors which fit those boards) combinations. Check that your motherboard will accept DDR4 before you buy this - you don't want to be trying to hammer the sticks into an incompatible motherboard.Assuming you do have the right hardware, these are a dream to fit. Takes about two minutes to slide each stick in and make sure they're secure in the motherboard slots.That's it, job done. The sticks feel robust, and I managed not to drop either of them into the case as a result.Then you turn your machine on.Immediately, two things are noticeable:First, if you're upgrading from <16GB of RAM, you'll see a performance increase. Well, i did, anyway. Everything felt smoother, and multitasking involved less delays. So functionally, these are as expected - and they've got the quality we've come to expect of Corsair.The second is, they light up! There's some included software for configuring which lights to display and when, if you don't want your PC internals to look like a disco, but it's very pretty, in any event. It apparently synchronises with other lit Corsair hardware, if you're building out a machine.So yeah. It's good. Feels quality, looks nice, and delivers solid performance. If you're buying a new machine, or switching to DDR4 in an upgrade, this is a great choice.

Great RAM sticks. Really complement my now ageing PC build. When i first ordered the parts for my PC back in 2016 i knew i wanted a white and black colour scheme so got a case to and motherboard (the asus Z170-A) Took 3 years for me to get white RAM sticks but i am glad i waited.Install, as with most RAM, was an absolute breeze. Popped the old sticks out and slotted the new sticks in and ''voila''! Boot up in to BIOS and set the speed to 3200mhz as advertised. Everything is running sweet.The RGB lighting is amazing if you are in to that sort of thing like i am. I have recently become addicted to anything RGB so have got a razer RGB mouse, Razer RGB Keyboard, Razer RGB desk mat, Razer RGB Headphone stand...blah blah you get the idea. I also recently bought and installed the Corsair Hydro 100i Platinum RGB CPU cooler which like these RAM sticks are excellent.The software to control the lighting effects is called Corsair icue. I found the software to be very user friendly after coming from Razer Synapse. As soon as it was installed it instantly detected both my RAM and CPU cooler and i can sync the lighting patterns for the Corsair kit nicely.My bedroom now looks like an acid rave when i am playing games and me and my cat love it.There is cheaper RAM available which is just as good at being RAM as these are, however, i would say that if you like RGB and have the spare cash then do get these. Just please check online and in forums to ensure that your motherboard is compatible.

So, I've been using Corsair Vengeance LPX RAM for a couple of years and it has done me very well indeed. 16GB of DDR4 purchased for around £180, which has now dropped down to a bargain £70.Unfortunately for me, during these weird times, I decided to customise my Desktop to the max with all various softwares, mainly the ones from Stardock.Because of this, I was sat at 60% RAM usage on Desktop out of my 16GB, so I decided to upgrade.My lord, the prices are all over the place!16GB of Corsair LPX was £70, 32GB was £140, yet 64GB came to a whopping £750! And these are all at C15 3000Mhz... that's ridiculous!Be careful if you're thinking of upgrading guys!In the end I found this Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro RAM and decided I'd go for it,yes it was £70 or so more expensive than buying 2 lots of 32GB Vengeance LPX, but it has RGB, whereas the LPX doesn't and it was still 50% of the price of buying a set of 64GB LPX.Initially I wasn't sure whether or not it would work on my system, but luckily my system posted fine after placing in one stick, so I then replaced my 2 old sticks of RAM and installed all 4 of these.I've not tried using the XMP profiles yet, so I've got them running native at 2666Mhz, but I'm fine with that as I mainly want the actual memory capacity, rather than the speed.So, I'm very happy with these and can recommend them to anyone who needs the extra RAM.For those wondering:- Gigabyte Aorus 7 Gaming Wi-Fi- Ryzen 7 2700X- Gigabyte RX Vega 64 Gaming-OC

First off, this RAM seems very stable in my Ryzen 3600 based system - good. RGB is also lovely - bright, good colours and I currently have it synched with my Corsair mouse using the iCue software, rather than the MSI Mystic Light - haven't tried that yet but the motherboard RGB ain't great and that's all I have at present!But, my big disappointment is the RAM chips Corsair are now using. Maybe I should have done more research on this beforehand but they have moved from Samsung to Hynix, at least in my sticks anyway. Bummer. I was hoping for some overclocking goodness but I can never seem to get anywhere with the Hynix stuff, even when following the settings in a utility such as the Ryzen RAM Calculator.Got these to 3333 but that's it. I could possibly raise the CAS to up the frequency a bit more but that's bot a great trade-off. I know from past experience that much more can be achieved with Samsung chips and to be honest, that's one of the reasons I went for these. Hey ,ho. Maybe different batches are using different chips? I don't know. But that's my experience with these. It's good, colourful RAM, but I was expecting more from it.

Two sticks of 8GB DDR4 - 3000MHz... With RGB lighting... After removing the existing RAM from my motherboard these slotted straight in with a little fiddling around. It's far easier to add and remove RAM during a build than it is when there are wires and cooling pipes in the way - not to mention the tight squeeze to get at the release clips. On booting I went into the UEFI (i.e. BIOS) to check that all sixteen GB were present and correct. To be honest the first time it was only 8GB - which corresponded with only one module being illuminated. Power off, fiddle more carefully (anti-static strap in place) and boot again.Second time round all was well.The RAM speed setting was set to auto - which equated to 2300MHz (if I recall - it may have been 2000MHz). A quick change in the UEFI to 3000MHz, rebooted and all was well.The lighting is attractive - the photos do not do it justice as the rich colours bleed out due to the light/dark contrast.All in all - excellent RAM which performs (as far as I can tell) exactly as it should - with the bonus of attractive lighting - if you like that kind of thing (and it's really grown on me).

Would like to say this is my first time in buying high proformance memory etc i normally buy just standered ram but i recently bought a 1070 8 gig card and a ryzen 2700X so i was looking for decent good ram and came across this it was priced really well i ordered it and was delivered well before 1pm came in from work and put both sticks in pc the pc booted up no problem without any issues but then i looked at teh task manger/proformance it kept saying 2400mhz so after figuring it out it was my fault i didn't up date my bios to the latest one and after updating it it finally showed up at 3200mhz the memory runs really really coupled with the 2700X my game look amazing and profourms well plus they light up and change colour really really well (sorry about the poor image quality)know due to my bored only having 2 ram slots theres no way i can buy another set but when i do get another motherbored i will defo be buying another set of theses to match my other 2 i rate them 11/10 amazing profourmance and value.

I don't normally buy RAM for its aesthetic qualities, but this is a real treat if you have a transparent case. Even beyond that, it's well-specced DDR3 from a leading brand, and it does *not* disappoint. Easy to fit and fast-benchmarking, they are a powerful choice for a speedy PC project.The RAM units are sturdily constructed and encased, and feel solid - and safe - to handle. Of course, there's a bit of extra casing to cope with the fancy LED bits and bobs, but that actually gives them a more durable and heavy-duty feel beyond the flashy lights.Talking of those flashy lights, you can access their control settings through the Corsair iCue software, downloadable from the manufacturer's website.*Hours* of endless fun (assuming you haven't sealed them inside a non-transparent case!). A gimmick, I know, but if it's flashy kit you're after, these are bonzer.Definitely a premium treat for your PC project - strength AND looks from a trustworthy brand. What's not to like?

The Corsair CMW16GX4M2C3000C15 Vengeance RGB PRO 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3000MHz C15 XMP 2.0 Enthusiast RGB LED Illuminated Memory Kit - Black Black arrived and I was eager to plug these in a get going. Plugged in update to the BIOS and settings and away the DDR RGB illuminated RAM went. They do look awesome and given the right case the effect is spectacular. Nice to have the RAM power and these can be tweaked and overclocked if wanted, very impressed with the given result. Further tweaks can be obtained in the sequence of the light pattern effects to be isolated or across the board to all the memory modules. The RAM itself performed well in a Game situation and overall well pleased with this very high quality Memory Kit.During the running of games the heat from usage was nicely distributed through the spreaders.This is a high quality product and well worth the money outlay if considering the purchase.

I'm happy with these memory modules and I think they represent good value for money. I like the ability to control the RGB features using Corsairs ICUE software. You can also use your motherboards software.(at least with my motherboard). The modules that I received appear to be Samsung B Die but I could not overclock them to a higher frequency. I'm using a MSI B450 Pro Carbon motherboard and a Ryzen 3800x CPU. I have had to keep them at their stock 3200 mhz rated speed. I have a similar Corsair RGB Pro 2 x 8 GB Kit that uses Hynix modules that I was able to overclock to 3600 mhz. I use Thaiphoon Burner software in addition to DRAM Calculator for Ryzen software to find out the manufacturer of the modules and the timings to use if attemping to overclock memory.At the time I bought the Ram it was very competitively priced on Amazon, this tempted me to go for a 32gb kit.

Got 1 2 x 16gb 3200mhzWas able to overclock it to 3600mhz nicely.And now just got another 2x16, but this one crashes with xmp enabled(3200mhz) runing mem test it just a waterfall of errors, i bought another kit to hope that its just bad luck, but the 2nd new kit also had a waterfall of errors with xmp (same v4).The kits that have issues are samsung v4 die's where my first kit was hynix v5. its actually a whole major version behind. Make sure XMP profile works on your stick otherwise return it.Date written (11-may-2020) Batch number) 201803***Other than the issues, RGB lighting is great. though wish they put more dense rgb strips inside as you can make out the dark spots.(its not super noticeable)Edit(Date: 3-july-2020): decided to take another stab at my luck, and this time got a v5 hynex kit and everything is good!

I received these as a gift, I’m using them with the Gigabyte Aorus B450 Elite Motherboard with an AMD Ryzen 7 2700X. Initially after installation, the XMP profile was unstable, so I upped the voltage a small amount (1.39V) and that alleviated any issues. I believe this was down to my motherboard, because I tested these in an intel system as well (6700K based) and the XMP profile was stable out of the box. So people using my particular motherboard series beware. The modules themselves are very good looking with vibrant lighting and they’ve been reliable. Also, they come in much cheaper than G. SKILL’s Trident Z RGB sticks and essentially deliver the same experience.My particular modules had the very sought after Samsung B Dies on board, although my friend with the same modules didn’t, I believe it’s luck of the draw.

I absolutely love this ram.I built my first gaming PC earlier in the year and got 16gb of this. However the OCD side of me didn't like 2 ram sticks in a 4 dim bay, so I had to get another 2.The 3600mhz is perfect for 3rd Gen Ryzen that favours faster ram. The timings aren't superb but they can easily be tightened very safely to CL16. You can go to 14 too but that's about as good as its getting (do this at your own risk)The RGB looks good and is quite smooth on flowing effects. Icue software is meh. Not bad but not great. It's been a little bit buggy but works for the most part. There's been an update lately and seems a lot more secure.Overall I'm extremely happy with this Ram. It's low profile,fast as hell, very easy to install and has good RGB. A winner in my books.

If you like RGB then this is for you.Be mindfull if purchasing 4 sticks and you have a Gigabyte Z170x motherboard with the NZXT kraken cooler as it might be a tight fit for the RAM stick slot that's closest to it ('should' fit with a little squeeze) as the AIO Kraken 62 cooler pipes that exits the unit slightly covers the slot as this ram is a lot wider than normal.Anyway the RGB lights are nice and vibrant and there are plenty of lighting options available using the Corsair iCUE software. I have put a little video together on YouTube so if you want to have a better look, check it out.Installation was straight forward,I had allready enabled XMP profile in the BIOS so was just a plug and play for me and showed 3200mhz without any issues.
