Bought this set of 2 x 4gb sticks of 1600 speed ram to max out of rapidly aging system to it's full capacity of 16gb.I have been using it or at least the system it is in for 10 hours daily, 7 days a week for the last two months now and not had a single slow down or crash and it is playing well with different speed and manufacturer sticks of ram.To be honest you really can't go wrong with Corsair and have been using them for well over a decade probably closer to two decades. The sticks are well made and robust and the heatsinks on them look beefy enough without being obtrusive and interfering with the slot beside it.Installation took under a minute as does the installation of any RAM for those that know what they are doing. For anyone else I can't imagine this taking anymore than 5 minutes and the sticks can only go in one way around so just go easy and once you have the right way around just apply a little pressure until the stick seats properly in it's slot and make sure the little locking tabs on each side of the stick are in place and that's it done. There is countless of tutorials online and on Youtube. This will probably be the last upgrade I make to this old system before biting the bullet and building a new machine but as it stands still a very quick machine helped along by this new 8GB addition of RAM.Took a star of because I think it was slightly pricer than what it really should have been. £10 cheaper would have been closer to a fairer price.

I chose this memory for my first build because it was cheap and from a well known brand. I also liked that it didn't have the big heat-sinks like on the regular Vengeance RAM which allows room for aftermarket CPU heat-sinks. My PC is used mainly for gaming and Netflix, and 8 GB is more than enough for those needs. The only problem I had was the BIOS detecting them as 1333 mHZ instead of 1600, but a quick change in the BIOS fixed that that. Changing the frequency to 1600 mHz also increased the timings from 9-9-9-24 to 11-11-11-2?, so i had to manually change them as well, so be on the lookout for that. The timings issue is from my BIOS though and says nothing bad about the RAM.It works flawlessly; definitely recommended.UPDATE (28 Dec. 2012): No problems after more than a year. I eventually brought the frequency back down to 1333MHz and was able to tighten the timings to 7-8-7-22. Stable, no problems.UPDATE (5 Feb. 2015): Still going strong. Now being used with an i5 3570k and z77 motherboard and XMP profile loads automatically. No problems at all; this is some durable memory.UPDATE (3 Mar 2017): Still going; coupled with another pair of 8 GB for 16 total in a new build - the 4th this memory has been in! Highly recommend

I just built a new gaming rig and was delighted that Corsair released the vengeance series in Low Profile. I could not fit memory with large cooling fins due to them fouling up on the after-market cooler I had decided upon. This issue is dependent on your Mobo configuration and may not apply to everyone. Personally I used an Asus FX990 Sabertooth Mobo and an Arctic Freezer 13 Pro CPU cooler which would not have been possible with the extended fins of the extreme cooling version of this memory.I have not found any issues with this blisteringly fast memory despite them being 'Low Profile' and heartily recommend this product to anyone building a new or upgrading an old system.Once again Corsair have produced an excellent product that does exactly what it says on the tin.And at such a reasonable price too!!As an additional afterthought only, I intend to overclock my system to get the most from my CPU and Mobo but I can see no reason to even attempt to overclock this memory, its performance is simply that good and so fast I do not need to.Thank you Corsair, and thank you Amazon for providing a delivery service that had this in my system one working day after I ordered it 'free delivery'.

I have 2 sets of these and both work just fine at the target speed/latency using XMP profile. They look pretty good and they are small (there are tinier low profile OEM memory but without heatspreaders). My only reservation is that 1333MHz is the fastest "standard/JEDEC" speed; if you have the BIOS set to Auto, you may find it runs at 1333 only. This is the case on my Intel board, you may expect it to use the XMP profile in Auto but it does not. You need to explicitly tell it to use the XMP profile and run at 1600.I have other modules with 1600 in standard/Jedec and these ran at 1600 in Auto without choosing XMP profile in the BIOS.For enthusiasts this is not a problem, but some people may not know that they need to select XMP profile to have the modules run at 1600. There are probably brand-name computers (Dell, Lenovo) that do not have such a setting.NB. Blue/Black version are 1.5V rated; the white ones are 1.35V rated but not all boards may allow you to drop the voltage; many alow you to increase it over 1.5V but not decrease it. Doh!

I've been running this RAM in my new gaming computer I just built for a couple months now. Never had any stability issues. I put the PC into sleep mode more often than I shut it down, and the RAM has handled that well.I'm about to install a Havik 140, which makes me glad I ordered the low profile heat spreader. In all honesty, RAM doesn't generate a whole lot of heat. If you're trying to decide between the big, high-profile ram sticks and these, I'd go for these. There's really no performance difference, and you never know what your clearance requirements might be for a CPU cooler. My BIOS auto-detected it at a 1333 mHz speed, but I just set it to 1600 manually and it was fine. You should make sure it's set to 1600, because you will get a non-negligible performance gain. I haven't tried overclocking this ram yet, but I might give it a shot in the future.Overall, Corsair is a good brand. You really can't go wrong with Corsair, Mushkin, GSkill, etc. Mostly I picked these for the looks and the good reviews, and I wasn't disappointed.

Corsair has always made some of the best memory modules on the market, and after getting two of these kits for a total of 16GB, I can see that they still are some of the best. Works great on any platform, but bare in mind that the SPD is set to 1333MHz from the factory, so you will need to adjust it to the rated and tested 1600MHz in BIOS. Even so, I actually left mine at 1333MHz for a while because I forgot about this, and all was well. If you find this for about the 30 price point, there is no reason to look for anything else. Mind you, the normal profile version, if those fit your system, will go a bit higher in OC because they can dissipate a slightly larger amount of heat. Mind you, these are rated for 1.5v which is very low for a kit running at these speeds and latencies, so there is plenty of room to spare and I can guarantee that they will run at 1866MHz with a proper motherboard. In any case, for the average user, this is everything you will need and more, at least for the following 2-3 years.

So with my SLI 670 , AMD 8350 , SABERTOOTH 990FX BUILD WITH H100 cooler for the computer builders out there :), my computer set-up , these LOW profile 16GB pack even though they are 8GB i got 16GB in the end and they run perfect , not sure on benchmarks and all the complex side of it because i have not done benchmarks if anyone is interested but with computer games and the speed 1600MHZ (common speed for most computers) don't forget most motherboards will put these to 1300MHZ so set them to 1600MHZ in the BIOS , the manual should show how to do this.It zooms around my operating system of course it can depend on what the performance of the other parts are liked but overall for the RAM I have had them installed for about 1-2 years now without a issue ,cant think of a reason why to update them even though there have been newer models of this RAM , I still stick with them , price is very good so overall I recommend this product.

Being low profile memory means it can sit underneath the CPU cooler i have which overhangs the RAM slots. I was upgrading from 4GB to 8GB and from 1333MHz to 1600MHz. There is a slight speed increase to applications opening but the biggest improvement is in the amount of applications and web pages i can have open at once. I can happily have 20 tabs open in my web browser, itunes open and be playing a game at the same time and still have 3GB of memory spare.Only things worth mentioning are that this is duel channel memory so work in pairs, always match up your memory if you are adding it to existing memory and check the timings, this particular one by corsair is 9-9-9-24 and latency CL9.Only other thing that needs mentioning is when you have installed the memory be sure to go into the bios and enable XMP memory to get the most out of it. Fast delivery from Amazon and came well packaged!HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I ordered this 8GB kit. Stuck it in to my comp that already had 4GB of gskill ram and booted it up. Everything was working and going great for 5 minutes or so. I then started adobe premiere pro and my comp blue screened. I ran memtest86 and got thousands of errors. I tested both sets of memory cards individually and got no errors. Both the Corsair and the Gskill were PC3-12800 1600mhz 240-pin 9-9-9-24 1.5v. I expected them to work together. Sometimes different brands just don't go well together; it is rare but it happens. If you have gskill ram, do not add this to your comp. The worst part was that the computer was so messed up windows could not load or restore itself after I took this memory out.I was forced to reformat and reinstall windows. I lost all my data.PS. I made sure in BIOS all settings were what they were supposed to be.

I brought two sets of this 2x4GB memory for my new i5-2500k/Asus P8Z68-V PRO GEN3/Prolimatech Megahalems build and it's been perfect for me. Like a previous reviewer CAS says, the BIOS by default sets the memory speed to 1333 and you have to manually bump it to 1600. But after doing this I've had absolutely no problems.I have to be honest, and say that getting 16 GB was probably overkill, but in a year or three maybe I will be using this memory so I've saved myself having to source similar memory modules and having to install them at some point in the future. But it's nice to have 16 GB anyway :-)Other memory sticks have heat-sinks on with sticky up bits and all kinds of needless bling. This memory is low profile so fits under my heat-sink's fan and delivers the stability and performance I've come to expect from Corsair.

I chose this ram going on 2 years ago in just a few months and this ram has been great. I have a few benchmarks, nothing to major tho as I mostly care how my pc performs under stress and actually in a game I'm playing. My benchmark tests did come back with I belive 95% better than others with similar gear so something is working right. I would definitely stand behind this product tho, it has worked great since day one and continues to work great almost 2 years later. Surprising to me this ram has not lowered in price a whole lot in the last 2 years so that's saying something right there. Good product! Even tho the price has not lowered too much, I will be buying this product again soon and bringing my rig to a total of 16gb ram.Good job Corsair, quality product at a reasonable price. Pretty hard to beat that.

This ram preforms the functions you would expect it too. Worked fine out of the box, and looks pretty sharp when paired with a blue themed build(ASUS boards blend well). The only thing that I have found to be slightly strange was the fact the motherboard didn't recognize this ram as being 1600 MHZ automatically. Instead it defaulted to 1333MHz. This is easily fixed if you have any basic knowledge of BIOS settings, but still it stuck me as odd. After changing the BIOS setting to the advertised 1600 MHz clock speed there has been no issue and it has operated in an expected manor. Beyond that, the price was in line with nearly every other 8 gig ram kit so not much to say there.Ram is pretty boring stuff,it either works or it doesn't. This ram works great other than the minor bug I described.

Installs easily, seems to run well, overclocks readily. Immediately overclocked it to 1833MHz without having to up the voltage. Might try to get through 2Ghz, but I'm not feeling the need right now.I'm mildly perturbed by the heat spreader. I'd like to know what integrated circuits they're using without having to google it. Having the heatspreader covering everything gives me a nasty feeling that they might have something to hide. Don't get me wrong, it looks good, and if it serves a real purpose (which I'm still not entirely convinced of) then go ahead. I just wish they'd at least print the information they've covered up with it on the outside of the box or something.Regardless, the memory is working well at the moment. 8GB is being entirely sufficient for me.

Had to re-seat them a couple of times. First, it registered 12 GB (already had 8 GB) and after I re-seated the sticks, it dropped to 8 GB. I then took all of the RAM out and re-inserted them all and, finally, all 16 GB was visible and functioning perfectly. I now have no lag whatsoever, regardless of whether I am running 10 different programs, listening to music and have 50 internet tabs open at the same time. My work involves large amounts of research and using proprietary software. It is therefore resource-intensive and, occasionally, that will be reflected in the time it takes to switch tabs and programs, etc.The addition of this RAM to my existing Corsair Vengeance in order to increase my RAM size to 16 GB is reflected in my productivity

I bought this (Vengeance LP 2x4GB DDR3 1600Mhz) to use in my first computer build. The packaging is neat and compact, and the RAM itself is also aesthetically pleasing. After installing the RAM, it appeared that one of the modules was not working (I assume this happens rarely, Corsair products are great quality). I went to the Corsair website and applied for an RMA to return the faulty module. I sent it (only the one module, I was told I could keep the one that was working) and a 1x4GB module of the same specification was shipped to me with UPS within a couple of days.A great product, even better customer service. I intend to go to Corsair for other computer components in the future.Highly recommended.
