Finally finished piecing together my new PC and gave it some time to test it out. Most of my decision making was the result of reviews from here (Amazon) and forums on tomshardware.com.-NZXT Guardian 921 RB ATX Mid Tower Case, Black 921RB-001-BL-Intel Core i5-3570K-Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit-EVGA GeForce GTX760 SuperClocked w/ACX Cooler (02G-P4-2765-KR)-Corsair Vengeance Blue 8GB (2x4 GB) (CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B)-Gigabyte Intel Z77 LGA 1155 (GA-Z77X-UD3H)-OCZ Technology Fatal1ty 750W (OCZ-FTY750W)-Intel RTS2011LC Liquid-Cooling Kit-Samsung 840 SSD 500GB (MZ-7TD500BW)-D-Link AirPlus DWL-G520 Wireless PCI Adapter(rev.B)Boot up is less than 10 seconds from power button to login. At resolution 1920x1200 with most settings on high (using NVidia GeForce Experience recommendations) gameplay is smooth and pretty with Assassins Creed IV, League of Legends, Rage, Path of Exile, Diablo 3, StarCraft 2, & Heroes of the Storm. All the fans are not loud at all and go unnoticed with the box under my desk. The lights look awesome from the fans, psu, & Intel CPU cooler. The case has 3 thermometers labeled for CPU, HDD, and SYS. They make for a nice LED display on the front but placing them in the case is a little tricky. I use HWMonitor to watch temps and so far nothing has gone over 55 Celcius. Gigabyte has some proprietary software w/ their motherboard. I have attempted the auto overclocking program labeled EasyTune but have not had much luck with it. Ended up keeping CPU at it's original 3.4 GHz since there isn't really a need to push it more than that currently. In the future I may try manually overclocking in the BIOS. The BIOS is extremely easy to navigate and has a plethora of configuration options and adjustable parameters.Overall, system works flawlessly and is everything I wanted with the potential for easy upgrading in the future. Hope this helps if anyone is shopping around and doing some research.

I bought this item on April Fools day. Prophetic as it happened. There's nothing wrong with this product. They look beautiful and I really wanted to keep them. But, I made a foolish mistake while working on my latest build. I failed to allow room for installing my hard drive!!I have known for years that CPU's and cooler fans have clearance issues with tall RAM sticks that have heat-spreaders, but I hadn't considered that other items could also conflict.Chalk this up to the learning curve. Actually, I wish memory makers would just stop the heat-spreader gimmick. It's true that memory does generate heat and I suppose that heavily over-clocked memory might need extra cooling help, but it's clear to me that's it's mostly a fashion trend. Are you old enough to remember tail fins on cars?I didn't want to take advantage of Amazon's return policy, claiming that the item was "deficient" in some way. But no, the fault was mine.I have printed out my Amazon return label and will have to pay an $8 postage return. Well, serves me right. As for the Corsair sticks, they look beautiful with a metallic blue anodized finish. They also came in a clear plastic tray which is handy. I only needed one quarter of an inch of extra clearance. Maddening. I know that a lot of you are builders and I wanted to give you a heads up on checking your mounting clearances. I haven't checked but it seems to me that memory makers probably have measurement specs on their websites. I'll have to look into that one.I have re-ordered Crucial RAM sticks. They're a little drab compared to the Corsair sticks, but are only about 60% as tall. That should make the difference. I hope others are helped by my mistake.P.S I can't give you the measurements on these, I packed them up for return and didn't think of it in time. Sorry.

Corsair Vengeance Blue 8 GB (2X4 GB) PC3-12800 1600mHz DDR3 240-Pin SDRAM Dual Channel Memory Kit CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9BI purchased these memory sticks for my AMD Phenom II X3 720 / ECS 790GX-AD3 motherboard combination. I haven't kept up with DDR3 specs in over 4 years, so I just purchased them because they got great reviews and were priced appropriately. I wasn't expecting any performance gains from the PC3-12800 rating versus what I originally had (PC3-10667). It turns out that the XMP profile is only for Intel based CPU/motherboard combinations and that I'd have to manually set the RAM settings with my AMD setup. Looking at the benchmarks for running DDR3 at 667 MHz vs 800 MHz all at a CAS delay of 9,there wouldn't be any noticeable gains so I am running these Vengeance sticks at PC3-10667 / 667 MHz according to CPU-Z.I tried using these in combination with a pair of Mushkin 2GB DDR3 PC3-10667 memory sticks, but my PC would fail to POST. I decided to just run the 8GB of Corsair instead of 12GB of the combination for my Windows 7 64-bit operating system. The new RAM did not change my Windows Experience Index rating, and the PC did not have any issues after 3 hours of Prime95 or 1 pass of Memtest86+. I admit this is fairly light testing but this PC was specifically built 4 years ago for gaming and multimedia operations.Overall: 5/5 stars, requires XMP/overclocking/manual settings to get the advertised PC3-12800/1600 MHz rating, but works fine using the SPD settings. Great price, cool looking heatsinks, seems to run reliable.

OK here's my two pennies worth, Its tall, looks good with blue Mobo and Blue led's etc, and yes it worked eventually (my fault for not looking at my new Motherboard compatibility list!), will it overclock? No idea dont wanna try that due to the compatibility issue I already had Ha! Oh yes and did I say it's Tall!!? Windows 7 rates as 7.9!Note Motherboard Asus P8Z68-V LX with I5 2500k CPU and Coolermaster Hyper 212 CPU cooler( Start system with only one bank of Ram initially, Bios sees Ram as 1333mhz, load Operating system, drivers and utilities, then use Asus AI Suite to overclock system, reboot, now sees Ram at 1600mhz and CPU at a little over 4.3ghz turn of, unplug then add 2nd bank of Ram,restart and et viola! 8gb all working.editThis ram with the Asus P8Z68-V LX causes BSOD's it is NOT compatible with this motherboard buyer beware, took me a long time to narrow down the cause of the BSOD's I was getting. I have subsiquently changed the ram to Kingston Hyper X (KHX1600C9D3K2/8GX) cured the problem totally, unfortunately I cannot return the Corsair Vengeance now, it took too much time to find the problem and my return window has now expired, live and learn. Ram is Ram right? .....Wrong

Shopped around for a decent set of memory modules for a cost effective new build, after realising my Core 2 Duo machine was falling behind the times. Didnt really have this set in mind but after looking into the hardwares credentials, and the good reviews from PC savvy magazines and internet searches i went for this pair of memory modules. I wasnt dissapointed when i received them (quick delivery) and took them out of their packaging. Firstly, they look awesome (and the blue matched my PC interior and lighting which obviously i took into account), secondly they feel awesome, theres something about hardware that feels solid and has a bit of weight behind it, somehow you just know its good quality.the dimms fit very snuggly into my motherboard slots, clicked into place nicely with enough room for my Zalman CPU fan and 460GTX graphics card. And the memory performs briilliantly, ive not witnessed them struggle with any application as yet, usage peaking at around 70%, though i havent blitzed them with dozens of multiple tasks, but then again i dont really intend to with how i use my PC. Very happy with my purchase, 5 stars.

How amazing earlier i have 3*2gb corsair and than i bought 4*4gb set, and i am able to make it work as 20GB (4*4 GB , 2* 2GB) 1600 MHz with XMP profile in bios of sabertooth x58 with core i7 950.Had initial challanges so here's what i did, remove all ram, put first stick in A1 and did unplug power and reboot, load bios and load with default setting and set hard disk order again to correct boot disk.one os loaded, shutdown and unplug power and reboot, load bios and check ram is visible as 4gb, now again unplug powerand added 4gb to B1,C1,A2 and then startedand load bios, 16 gb was visible but running at 1066 MHz, thus changed profile to XMP and power rebooted, load OS and see 16 gb detected, bios shows everything running at 1600MHzas expectednow powerdown and added other 2gb rams to B2 and C2 and rebooted....os sees 20 gb of ram perfect...run memtest86 v4.2 and all test passed without any issue....there you go hope steps help...try to follow same sequence as i had issues otherwise, fecognizing 20 gb ram....ensure ram inserted properly by pressing both side (lightly)

Price-wise, $50 for 8GB is fantastic. Especially for the 1600MHz bandwidth.Corsair, historically, has been a reputable brand name, thanks to providing quality components. But even under the best of times, problems can ensue. Both kits arrived, with no atypical behavior suggesting a defective module is installed. Why I recommend to buy two 8GB kits, even if there was a net increase of price: These modules are sold in kits, if one module is bad then the entire kit must be returned. The replacement kit could have a defective module as well. With two 8GB kits, if one module is bad, you still have a working computer while you wait for the exchange to arrive. If one module in each kit is bad, then you're still SOL as these sets are sold as 'matched pairs' to ensure reliability. Mixing RAM modules from various sets COULD induce performance problems. so when installing the RAM, also make sure to take the first package and put each module in slots 0 and 2 on the system board, with the other package put into slots 1 and 3.)

Muy buenas memorias ram son las corsair y para mi estas no son la exepcion, mi tarjeta madre es una Asus m4n98td-evo, esta memoria no viene en la lista de compatibilidad pero a mi me funciono a la perfeccion solo limpie el bios y las reconocio al instante, si usas esta tarjeta madre y las pones a 1600mhz (porque si no lo haces trabajan a 1333mhz) es bueno que bajes el voltaje porque la tarjeta lo aumenta a 1.6, lo bajas a 1.5 y trabajan de maravillaVery good RAM the corsair and for me this are not the exception, my motherboard is an Asus m4n98td-evo, this memory dont comes in the compatibility list but I just worked to perfection clean bios and acknowledged instantly,if you use this motherboard and put them at 1600MHz (because if you do not do work at 1333MHz) is good you lower the voltage, because the motherboard increases the voltage to 1.6, the lowest at 1.5 and works great

I bought this ram because I recently built a new computer and after having it running in my machine for some months now I think it's a good time to review it. So far all products that went into my computer from Corsair have been absolutely wonderful. I have no issues with it running and it is super fast. I have it paired with a i7 2600k processor, Z68 motherboard, a SSD for the OS and a bigger HD for everything else. It is super fast, never hiccups, and is quite a pleasant experience overall. To be fair, my PC did not take both sticks when I first booted it on, but a quick trip to the Bios took care of that little qualm.Primary Uses for me that probably push it's performance would be some light 3d gaming, heavy multitasking, and producing in FL studio with many instances of different synths. So far it has proved itself at a really good price.Highly recommended buy.

If you get the Corsair Vengeance RAM sticks be advised: You're gonna need a bigger case! I originally purchased a mini-tower and thought everything would fit. Once I installed the mobo and set the RAM I suddenly found myself unable to install my HDDs, because the RAM is too tall the HDDs were too long to fit properly. So if you go with a small case then get small RAM sticks, like Kingston; if you want these babies, which is overkill in a sense, get a "gaming" case! With a total of 8GB RAM I find myself having more than I need for my gaming and regular processing. Of course, my intent was to build a rig that was capable of gaming for an affordable price.I ended up spending a total of $656 and built a rig that is more powerful than my last [pre-built] desktop that cost $700 (Phenom II quad-core, 4GB RAM, 512MB nVidia Geforce 315).

As a PC tech of 20 years, this is MY PREFERENCE RAM to run in any system and any motherboard. Regardless, with the Vengeance series, I have spent months trying to discern the difference between the various colors and names assigned to the Vengeance line. Most recently, I stick with Blue Vengeance (a bit lower priced that the other colors) for high performing rigs.. and have not seen any reduction in speed. For newbies I must point out some reasons WHY you should always buy this RAM.; (1) dual channel runs better than single channel, so always buy a matching set... (2) warranty is lifetime, as long as you did not let your dog chew it up... (3) the performance is better than many other brands..and seems to work in anything...(4) the heat sink design is easy to handle during install (and gorgeous if you have a case with a window)

Well, I bought this RAM as an inversion, i'm a designer, musician, PC technician and gamer. I really wanted to have my own great PC, so i built it by myself. These are the components of my machine, I don't know what kind of PC do you want. But really, this ram work too eficiently. Games and programming software runs eficiently, even two, or more of them at the same time (in my case). Just buy it. You'll never regret.CPU: Intel Core i7 2600Motherboard ASUS P8P67 PRO (REV 3.0)EVGA GTX 560 Ti Superclocked DSThis RAM of course (actually i'm using only 4 of the 8 GB i've bought)Other components: i think are less important at this review.Installed Games:Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2011Resident Evil5Alice Madness ReturnsFable 3Installed Software:Adobe CS5Guitar Pro 6Finalle 2011And more software...

It's RAM. It's Corsair. Why are you still reading this?Generally, on many modern computers and OSes, RAM is your bottleneck. This stuff performs admirably, and well over doubled the ability of my computer to perform basic operations. (upgrade from 4gb, to 12 with a pair of these). Will order another set. Ensure your mainboard is compatible before purchase.Unless you are silly, do not immerse in water. Not suitable as personal flotation device, emergency calliope, or aircraft control surface. Void or prohibited where void or prohibited. May cause excessive ganking in those so inclined. Should not be combined with elephants, small children, lawnmowers, or political figures.Memory may not be for everyone. Please contact your doctor should you have blackouts, memory loss, or assimilation into your computer.

Corsair is well known for their high quality power supply units and high performance RAM modules,so I expected nothing less from this kit.Classic vengeance RAM with a blue finish to match the motherboard,1600MHz CL9 at a crazy price. Why not?Installation was extremely easy as with all memory modules.Had to enable XMP in BIOS to let them work in 1600Mhz but that was extremely easy as well. Both sticks passed both MemTest and Windows memory diagnostics tool without errors.Very nice looks and optimized fins to keep it cool.My only regret is that I didn't pick the 16GB kit.If you're looking for a low-priced ( and constantly becoming cheaper )high-performance kit,I definitely recommend this. Please note that it might be too high for some air coolers,in that case get the Low-Profile ones.
