I adore CdG, have for decades, and 2 has to be my favorite next to their "Avignon" from the Incense Series. 2 evokes a scene of a Japanese beauty in a Kyoto forest, wearing a silk kimono that was stored in a cedar chest, knelt at a small table on her tatami mats, painting calligraphy with sumi ink, sipping orange-spiced tea while the cool breezes gently sway the pine trees beyond the paper-covered doors. It's totally modern, and a little strange, and elegant...no one will smell like you, and wearing it makes you feel as if you're keeping a dark, wonderful secret. Black rain clouds gather in the distance, beyond the tops of the pines...there's a slight smell of dust and electric storms...a dark red enamel vase holds a small gathering of magnolias,

I have always loved this perfume, so treated myself after Christmas. I still love it, but it is expensive, so only an occasional treat to myself!Dominique
