First off I need to extend my apologies to the seller for the lateness of this review, however due to mitigating circumstances i am sure i will be forgiven. You see the problem stemmed from me foolhardily taking the review of one Mark Uk's as fact, Mark had reviewed on the 13th of February that this headlamp was and I quote "almost too bright" almost my a@%e !!!I foolishly sneaked a sideways glance towards my significant other whilst she squealed with delight at the new addition to her camping arsenal, what ensued can only be described as as trip down memory lane to the days long since gone of the illegal warehouse parties of the late 80's when spirits were free and Dr Hoffmans finest where guzzled in quantities enough to drop a charging rhino,the white hot spots of pure torture betwixt my pupils and retina's are only just subsiding two weeks hence !!This lamp my dear Mark is not almost too bright, its brightness is equalled only by that of an exploding quasar !!!Now I've been on the business end of one of those garage forecourt torch specials boasting 1 million candles, and I can safely vouch that next to one of these headlamps they pale into insignificance, in comparison giving off as much light as you could produce rubbing your hands together on a brisk November morning stroll with the dog.A few uses I have come up with for this lamp whilst convalescing in a darkened room with a cold compress draped across my seared eyeballs are as follows.....1. A substitute for the bulb in Batman's signal light should that ever fail2. In the event of a rip in the space time continuum whereby the wearer is transported back in time to the blitz this bad boy would blind those dirty Hun Luftwaffe pilots into dropping their bombs willy nilly and heading back toot sweet to Bavaria3. Starting a BBQ should you have run out of firelighters (please BBQ responsibly)4. Signalling to the international space station as it passes over head should NASA's comms ever fail.5. One of those handy torture lamps they use in the movies when interrogating the baddies. (although the ensuing pain and ocular disruption may render any confession utter gibberish)So to sum up this bad Mutha F&%*er is is more powerful than you can possibly imagine (see what I did there ) if you buy it take heed, DO NOT, REPEAT DO NOT look at it directly without first putting on a thick layer of factor 50 and a welding mask !worth every penny !!Now forgive me i need to put my sunglasses back on and go and weep a little.Ciao.

Having seen an advert in a magazine for these head torches, I decided to buy one of the Coleman torches and head torches. I really like the idea of the Battery Lock mechanism which means the batteries won't drain or leak when i'm not using the device. I bought one of the torch versions to keep in my car for emergencies and also bought a head torch at the same time. I liked the idea of a hands free head torch when camping or out on my bike in the dark. The Kinesix technology, which changes the functions by waving your hand in front of the head torch, takes a bit of getting used to but once you get the hang of it is brilliant. Overall a great,powerful head torch that I can really on to work as the batteries won't run down when not in use.

Amazingly bright on full power.Wave your hand in front to cycle between modes. A little strange at first but you soon get used to it - will be handy while on my bike.At first I thought it was faulty, then I realised the reax system was adjusting the beam to suit. Tried long distance mode and was impressed at the beam distance, 300 lumens goes a long way!Great product so far.

I dont usually write reviews (i know, shame on me). Im taking time out to do this one though as I was very impressed with the quality of this item.Very happy with this light and would highly recommend this coleman product.........Also great features, value for money!!

Great head torch for different settings and a good distanceExtremely annoying system to adjust settings had enough of trying to find things in rucksack especially in darkProblem solved by covering sensorPity Coleman hadn't thought of an override !

Excellent, a terrific replacement for the last one I had which my dog happily destroyed. Bad girl. Anyway, great light, great adjustability and I have to say, looks great in general.

Excellent head torch. The automatic switching can be a pain when using it for working closely up as it cannot be turned off. You learn to ignore it.
