The rule book in the box is Italian but you can find the English in PDF format online. The tiles slightly different color than the Original German versions, what is expected. Non of the reprints are identical, otherwise 100% compatible with the old and nothing wrong with it.

A Christmas gift ordered at the last minute, and did arrive in time. But I did not realised that I was buying Carcasonne with the rules written in Italian. Just as well we knew how to play, and able to instruct! Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars. An excellent game.

This is a great game, simple to learn and easy to play. Each game lasts about 45mins. This add on develops the game and gives an extra set of pieces allowing 6 people to play at one time. A great game for social occasions.

Highly recommended board game. Easy and fun to play with downloaded English rules. This pack contains the base game plus the river and abbot expansion. Mine was the 2014 artwork.

Great game, but description or Amazon could have made it clearer that I was purchasing an Italian version ?English instructions available free online however.

We had played this with friends before purchasing so knew the rules of the game, I imagine it would be more difficult to master by reading the rules alone.

Love this game great to play with my brothers and simple to playThe instructions were in Italian but its easy enough to get the English ones online

This Expansion pack is my favourite so far. It was quick to learn and adds interest and greater point scoring opportunity to an already great game.

Easy to use with UK original Carcassonne game. Italian instructions do not hinder inetgration as graphics are the same regardless of language.

It's Carcassonne. It works, even if it's in Italian. It is easy to find the English language rules as PDFs online.

We generally keep the Inns and ditch the cathedrals in play. Solid expansion, much loved.
