39mm filter is hard to find. I got this protective filter for my collapsible Summicron that has a front element crispy like chalk (pic.1). Quality of B+W filter is undoubtedly good. The protective filter has little if any effect on image quality. Pictures still have razor sharp edges and buttery soft bokeh through the filter(pic.2). A bit expensive though. Was in Germany a year ago and spent about €30 in a digital market for TWO 49mm filters(same thing, different size). This very one costs over £30 plus P&P plus import tariff, overall nearly £50 to have it delivered to China.

This filter is built to a very high standard. The mount is made of brass and the MRC coating on the glass really helps reducing reflections and I did not notice any decrease in image quality. The mount of the filter is fairly slim so it should not cause vignetting on wider angle lenses. The coating is also supposed to repel dirt and water, though I've yet to see that. All in all, you really get what you pay for and in my opinion, this filter is absolutely worth the price.

Bought to protects lens. Not the cheapest but pretty good value from this supplier.Only small niggle is that, in combination with a Hoya HD filter, they have a tendency to lock together such that when the Hoya filter has to be removed they both come off - not sure which filter thread is to blame but it is a pain. If the filter had some form of grip knurled into the outer surface this might alleviate this problem.

As the name suggests this filter has no optical impact on your image but protects your front element. I have tested my lens (Canon EF 70-200 f2.8L IS II on a test chart with and without the filter and can see no difference. A quality product but a little over priced.

Expensive as are all B+W filters, but ultimately worth it if it is quality that is the most important factor for you. Highly recommended, just wish I could afford the 86mm B+W Kaeseman circular polariser for my Sigma 180mm F2.8 Macro at around £200 ouch!!!!

B+W filters are the very best in my opinion. Absolute quality and worth every penny. I have used this particular filter type many times over on other size lenses and never has the filter impeded upon the quality of the lens in use.

A real example of getting what you pay for. You can get ones claiming to do the same job for very much less money, but I think it's worth spending the extra if you can stretch to it.

More use as a protective glass than a truly optical hze filter . . . but it does help a little with ultra violent light rays that might otherwise dissolve your camera sensor ;-)

Fantastic quality item. The first thing I do when I get a new lens is buy one of these and when I sell or give the lens away I ALWAYS KEEP the B&W filters they are that good.

I have used many other filter brands over the years but return to b+w despite the price because they are the best.

Filter was in very good condition and received also, Filters today seem to be quite pricy, otherwise fine.

It's low profile, very light, and crystal clear. Excellent protection for my lens. Probably the best!!

If you need a high quality filter, you can't better B+W. Not cheap but certainly the best.

Excellent filter as I would expect from B+W, expensive but you get what you pay for.
