First, I am a professional photographer and I value filters as much as the lenses themselves. There isn't a point to put a sub-par glass element on your great lenses to de-grade the performance. B+W is one of the best in business. Made from nice brass rim with super smooth turn. Since's it's made from brass, you won't have to worry about the filter getting stuck on your lens at all. This is one of the few variable ND that has no visible colour cast on your images. One slight problem of using this filter is that the outside diameter is actually much bigger than 62mm so you won't be able to use your lens hood.

This was a very expensive variable ND filter but the glass is so optically sound that there is virtually no loss of image quality unlike many other variable ND filters. Like most ND filters, you may need to do some minor editing to correct the colours but that's a minor issue.Overall, I'm delighted with this filter despite its cost.
