It might be just me, but these filters seem to be much clearer than filters I have bought from other manufacturers. I always knew these were recognised among pros as the best but was reluctant to spent so much money. However, when using top Nikon Pro glass, it makes sense to protect it with quality filters too.

B + W filter rings are made of brass and not aluminium as the Japanese filters. The idea is that if you drop your lens or hit a hard object the brass frame collapse and can be easily removed, unlike aluminium that bends and gets stock in front of the lens. Now you know!

I bought this to protect my camera lens without the need to ever replace it, as would be the case for a UV filter (sometimes). Although expensive it is solidly made and compatible with other filters I might want to use in addition.

Perfect protection for a quality lens - removes the worry about damaging the lens getting dust on it and scratching it when near objects etc - perfect and fast delivery

This isn't a cheap filter, but I consider a premium filter is required in front of a premium lens. Quality is as described, and I'm very happy with the filter.
