These blackout curtains do work in my south facing lounge that beams bright sunlight into my lounge. I am severely light sensitive, to the extent that even the teeniest bit of light causes extreme pain to my eyes. My lounge gets the full force of the sun. Despite having blinds, a blackout curtain on top, and then another curtain on top the light still manages to get through making my eyes feel very uncomfortable. I bought the emerald green curtains because I only recently discovered from an article that Specsavers wrote, that green lenses are more effective than blue lenses for severe light sensitivity. It occurred to me that even if a little bit of light did come through these green curtains,

I thought these curtains might be slightly poor quality with the price of them however I was wrong.I was pleasantly surprised at how nice they felt and looked when hung.I would definitely buy these again as they are by far better than some of the budget shop equivalents i.e B & M & Home Bargains we’re I’d have gone previously if I needed to buy curtains at an affordable price.For anyone on a budget and looking for a decent blackout curtain that does what it says on the tin, doesn’t fall apart at the hoops because of flimsy material and actually feels thick and soft material...these are for you.Very happy with purchase, has enabled me to make my family home cosy and presentable on a budget.Thanks Seller!

These are actually ok considering the price. Nice soft material and a nice colour. The stitching lets them down though, a dark thread has been used for the hems which contrasts strongly against the lovely pink material. They look ok from a distance and I guess no one really looks at window dressings that closely but it's a pity because other than that, they're nice.I washed them at 30 degrees and ironed them before putting them up. They washed fine and are easy to iron.I can't comment on the blackout element or thermal quality of these curtains as we have blinds so they're being used as window dressing.

Lovely curtains. I love the colour and they feel so soft as well. Need to iron out the creases or just hang them and eventually the creases will drop out which is what I’m waiting on. For people who are saying they aren’t blackout curtains, I’d have to disagree because I get no light at all coming through these in the morning. I’ve had a net curtain up so I have had to duck while changing and I get the morning light blasting through my window in the morning but with these I got no light which is why I probably slept in this morning ?I have no complaints about these and would definitely recommend.

So happy with this purchase, the fabric is so soft and light and the blackout quality is fantastic, I purchased them in the blue though. Read the reviews saw some customers were not happy, but they had bought a much lighter colour. The proud owner of a few hours and I'm already thinking about buying another set. I am by no way disappointed with them for the blackout content. The 54 inch length is a few inches too short, the next length is 69 too long, should have bought those and shortened them, that's my error. Would be great if a 60 inch was offered. Would recommend

I ordered the colour pink and they are just great! The curtains match the description completely. They are blackout, they do block out some sound, and they do block out any drafts. I highly recommend! They are soft and lightweight and the colour is lovely. One of the panels did arrive a little plucked here and there but it is hardly noticeable and because I’m so happy with the curtains I didn’t bother sending them back. I will be buying another pair soon and for every other room in the house.

Not blackout, waste of time sending it back now. Please do not put bkackout when it is not because the material is a bit thicker than than the faux silk it will darken a little bit, I wanted it to be blacked out and wasent fussy over the colour so it doesent do its job. They write all this stuff so some customers won't bother returning it because it is nice soft material and they look good it's shame I'm having to return them.

I didn't expect much at this price but they actually are nice curtains. I went for platinum for my daughter's bedroom - the material is soft and light, but they block the light as good as the old heavy, lined blackout curtains! The only thing is that 'platinum' color came out slightly darker than the picture. It's more grey than white-ish. Also, stem iron did a good job to remove the creases before we hung them up.

Excellent - exactly what I was looking for. Most emerald curtains are velvet and these are a lovely satin material which is thick but lightweight; they appear to be very good quality. They look beautiful and have transformed my living room. I was very impressed that they came with some beautiful gold/silver tassel tiebacks too; saved me buying some! I highly recommend these curtains.

These are very good curtains, the have a lovely feel and are easy to iron (you can use a hotter iron than recommended). The hang very well the only thing i will say is when they are drawn back they don't hang nicely, i have put pegs and clips to try and hold them but now have to use the tie backs included to keep them under control.A deep emerald green colour. Beautiful.

Looking for a light weight curtain, due to lockdown I had to risk on line!! I have to say for the price I have had worse. Good value for money, arrived quickly, colour as stated, and definitely good for keeping out the light ... that good I ordered another pair !! Don’t expect miracles for the price... but these really are very good !!

I looked everywhere for suitable blackout curtains for my suns nursery that weren’t that heavy cardboard feel black out liner. These curtains are really lightweight and at first I didn’t think they would provide the blackout I was after but turns out they are amazing! I would highly recommend for child nursery/bedrooms

These were super soft to the touch and lightweight. They're really good at blocking out sunlight and the colour is gorgeous. Perfect length, not too long and also does add a layer of heat protection against cold window drafts. The darker colour may be more desirable if like me you like the room to be total blackout.

These curtains are very light but extremely good at blacking out the light. I was very surprised at how much they block out, I went outside my house to check the window and it looked black rather than green and hardly any light was visible from the room. I'm ordering another set when payday comes.

Brilliant quality. Some reviews have said they are not blackout curtains I disagree, they are in my bedroom, I suppose it depends where your bedroom is situated and how much sun you get. Apart from that they are great quality, well made and hang beautifully and good value. Love them
