I dont know why Behringer are not more popular. This is the 4th Behringer item I have purchased and they are all good quality and cheap and often half the price of similarly specced gear from competitors. This mixer is particularly good. I use it as a submixer as I ran out of inputs on my main mixer. It does the job well. The fx isnt too shabby either. The lack of an on/off switch is my only gripe - its easy to forget to keep all channels off when powering it up with it attached to an amp - resulting in an unwanted pop - but I can live with that. My biggest problem with Behringer gear is the documentation - its always minimal and quite often wrong or unavailable. If you know what you are dealing with then that may not be an issue but if you are new to this kind of stuff then you may struggle or get frustrated. I wouldnt want one of these for live work but if its just going to sit on a desk and have the odd knob adjusted every now and again its a good buy.

Bought for a live gig, basic three piece band in a pub where just the vocals were going through the mixer.Quite small/compact, very light. Straightforward to use - I got the option with fx which seems a no brainer since the prices for with and without were fairly similar. The fx gave a bit of additional substance to the otherwise ropey vox. There was also a handy input to play a laptop through the pa during the well earned interval. Since using it for live performance, it is now also used for home playing/recording/mixing etc - the small size means you can feasibly have this on a desk alongside your pc keyboard/laptop without much worry - it's not much bigger than an A4 box file.Perfectly reasonable for the price.Smaller and lighter than I expected, but that is actually a positive attribute all things considered.

Great mixer. This was a replacement for my older Behringer 1224fx. I was about to purchase a Mackie until I compared the reviews on each of them.Pros: The Behringer is small, compact, loads of effects, easy to use. Inputs and outputs all located on top.Cons: 1/4" Jack outputs. No sliders on channels. No list of effects on machine. din power connector. Gets very hot.I was a little worried with reviews about the mixer and DC adapter getting very hot during use. However, I was reassured by a previous review to state that his has never overheated during gigs.I plan on purchasing a small usb powered fan to help cool the unit down at a later date. But so far, after a couple of weeks use,it works perfectly for my needs.

It's 'as expected'. It's clean, clear and quiet and compact. It provides the facilities and functionality I require for a 4 piece rock band with enough microphone inputs, stereo inputs for backing tracks and or background music (such as from a PC/laptop/smart-phone). There is also a 'control room' output that could be used for foldback. However, the built-in FX are rubbish! Not unexpected if I'm honest, as decent digital echo module would cost upward of £150, you're not likely to get that 'quality' included within a mixer that cost less than £80.If you're looking for a small, inexpensive versatile mixer then I would recommend it BUT save yourself £10 or £15 and get the version that does notinclude the useless FX.

Works really well, the only niggle I have is that the audio feed from tape isn't controllable for volume so you can't sensibly use it as an input, e.g. for background accompaniment or for interval music and the level seemed odd, however, minor as you can feed in via other inputs.Basic ambience effects good enough for small performances, you wouldn't try and run a group through this mixer, but if you wanted just to amp up the vocals and keyboard against guitar drum and bass back line this would do fine.No significant noise or artifacts introduced, great for a home studio, and has worked well as a front end to an audio feed via a Behringer audio converter into Cubase.

Got this for use at rehearsals running through Alto powered speakers and it does a fine job. We normally just use three mics through it but if the drummer cant be there we can easily input the percussion of the keyboards plus you've got the phono inputs should we need to clarify something of a track that we are trying to learn. The biggest downer with this unit is the lack of an on off switch (pennies, surely ) because if some one has turned on the powered speakers first and levels have not been pulled back you can get a very nasty pop. Otherwise well built and straight forward to use

I’ve just bought this to replace an identical unit which I have been using for many years but which has developed a few problems. I will overhaul the old unit in due course as it is only a matter of crackling pots which hopefully can be cleaned. I use it to control the outputs from various equipment including mike and instruments as well as my hifi supplying output through a quad 606 power amp. The sound is clear and free of interference with good mellow bass and crisp clear high frequencies.

An excellent little mixer for the money. Some very useful fx for vocals and acoustic guitar - I use it with two SM58 mics and a Collings D2H acoustic plugged into a LD Maui 5 PA system. Sounds great and perfect for small to medium gigs. Slightly annoying power connector with a proprietary DIN plug but not a huge issue. Quiet in operation and does the job well.

I have gigged with the smaller 10 channel version for probably 15 years and it has served me well with only a power lead breakage needing repair. Occasionally a power glitch will cause the fx unit to generate noise that goes if re- powered. I bought this one to provide an emergency power supply backup and allow a mini setup at home.

A great little mixer for the price. I bought this for live work and have been very pleased with the results. The FX are very reasonable quality and the overall sound of the mixer is clear, with the ability to warm up your sound via the EQ.

This audio mixer by Beehinger is very sturdily built and will last a long time. For the price of this item you are getting a very sturdy piece of kit that not only looks good but sounds amazing too

Excellent , very cost effective small unit - I prefer external vocal delay / reverb effects but these are also pretty good if none other available .

Handy and ideal for my first home studio setup...not tried all the effects yet or the mic's but so far impressed and the price is nice.

A bargain bit of kit, easy and intuitive to operate. Using it with a Bose L1 compact PA. Very good results
