Runs default of 2400, with XMP 2666 (bios switch) both at 1.2 Volts (i.e. not overclocked) using Asrocks mITX AM4 motherboard.(Ryzen 1600 cpu) Could possibly go to 2999 if you have the motherboard at 1.3volts overclock (not tested on the Asrock mITX). No problems or hassles -so far - at 2666. I settled on 2666 Ram to avoid hassles on a new build and this has panned out very well.Did a bit or research prior to purchase - checked both mobo and ram websites plus reviews -, not the best of the best but near the top in terms of performance and consequently not hyper expensive in an over heated market - £167 for 2666 16GB is not bad for Mar 18!No problem fitting with the stock AMD cooler on a mITX mobo. Most remarkable thing about the sticks is there weight, actually thought the excellent packaging had built in lead weights. Even to the hand these brutes are heavy. Suspect there won't be any overheating/interference problems giving the armour plating at higher speeds..If you're not interested in flashy LED Ram and the price is right, good solid high quality purchase, imo.FWIW: Beware of RAM which quote higher speeds, ensure these speeds are obtained at 1.2volts, otherwise at 1.3volts your'e relying on your motherboard to provide the overvoltage to obtain the speeds and consequently price paid. At the prices of Ram nowadays I wouldn't risk it. Its actually quite annoying to see sticks quoting speeds and being vague about voltage, you just don't know if you're buying overvoltaged Ram or not. Frankly I'm not paying £167 to be instantly disappointed by a purchase. Please note, I only consider an item to be 'overclocked' IF the voltage is adjusted upward. There is a big difference between 'overclocked' - as per XMP and AMD timing profiles - and 'overvoltaged', unfortunately the latter term is never used. If the latter term was used then purchasing DDR4 and assessing the worth of the purchase would be a lot easier as there were a few 'good looking deals' which I found to be a little deceptive.

I've been buying Crucial memory for years now, and have always found it offers decent performance at a competitive price point. The Ballistix series has been around for a while now and offers not only higher speeds than standard RAM, but also heatsinks to give you a chance at overclocking your memory, should you wish. Crucial also offer their own monitoring tools if you want to keep a close eye on temperatures. This 8GB kit is from Crucial's Ballistix Elite range, which gives up to a 40% speed increase when overclocked. I haven't dabbled with this much yet, as the stock speed is 3200 Mhz and that by itself offers great performance. Naturally, each stick is easy to install but make sure it is compatible with the rest of your rig first.I have only run very basic benchmarks, such as 3D Mark, and I have seen an overall performance increase of my system of around 5-10% without doing anything else at this stage, which I think is quite impressive for a memory upgrade.8 GB is by and large the minimum RAM amount you'll be looking at for a Windows 10 system, and the Crucial Ballistix Elite is a great choice, both at stock and enhanced speeds it won't let you down and I highly recommend it.

Not a lot to say about RAM, it just works. The heat spreaders look good. I bought two of these sets. The first set I got on a flash sale before I had the rest of the parts for my build. Once I got around to building the PC I found one of the RAM sticks was faulty. I contacted Crucial via the live web chat on their site, they gave me an RMA number there and then. I was expecting a long drawn out RMA process so I bought another set in the meantime. To my surprise the RMA process was very straight forward and quick, hence still 5 stars even though it arrived faulty.I now have both sets installed and it booted first time and all 32gb showed up straight away.Due to the easy RMA I will buy crucial again. The second set I bought was at full price and I did see it on flash sale again twice in the week after I purchased it which would have saved me £20. That was a little disappointing. I guess that's what you get for rushing things.

Bought two individual 8 GB sticks as it was cheaper than the 2 pack-set to upgrade my Alienware Area 51 R4. A bit risky as to ensure compatibility you should buy at least matching pairs and preferably a full 4 stick kit. Price-wise though I took this risk as getting my machine up to 32 GB any other method would have cost at least 50% more. The 2666 speed advertised is only availble via the XMP profile which meant for stability and ease of installation I am running the 4 miss-matched sticks at the slightly lower 2400 speed. All good so far.Update - now all running at 2666 and nice and stable.

I bought these for a new system I was working on. They look great through the side window, have an almost gunmetal militaryesque thing going on and the weight off the RAM adds to this feeling as they are surprisingly heavier than they look. They overclock really well and the heat spreaders are able to hold their own; but works just as well if you don't need wish to overclock, though if you don't see the need to overclock it might be worth considering RAM that is not specified towards gaming and reduce your costs.

Crucial seems to be making some really nice ram these days.TIPS:Use the Crucial website for compatibility checking, if its not listed on your MB/PC manufacturers website/manualNOTES:DDR-4 memory on the X99 Socket LGA 2011-v3 platform is not straight forward, buying memory above the official Intel sported speed of 2133MHz does not guarantee that you will get listed performance or stability when you enable the XMP profile in the UEFI/BIOS.

Works well. My rig does not support 2666 speeds, but the RAM gets underclocked automatically and works just fine (also tried manual setup and XMP profile and works just fine on i3-7100 and B250 MSI Mortar motherboard). This 2666 kit was a lot cheaper than the 2133 and 2333 options from any brand so that's why I went with it. RAM prices seem to have gone up a lot lately though.... this was good value at the time I bought it.

Worked well for me. Runs fast and I use two of these kits to give me 32GB of RAM for usage with VM's.It should be noted however, that anyone looking to purchase RAM should always try and purchase off their motherboard manufacturers Qualified Vendor List (QVL) for RAM. If you don't, there is the chance that you could get RAM that doesn't work with your board.

Been using these for just over a year now with no problems, Fantastic build quality but be aware they might not fit with some cpu coolers as they are tall sticks, Not much overclocking headroom the reason for 4 stars, purchased in Feb 2016 for £59.99, wow the price of memory in the last year has nearly doubled as they are now £116.71 :(

Bought the 2x16gb 3200 kit direct from Crucial and have been very pleased. Curiously it uses Samsung's B-die chips rather than Micron offerings, but it certainly works; I've had no problem hitting the claimed speeds, although I did use manual settings after xmp failed miserably.

We ordered one for our son and it didn't work, BUT customer service was fantastic. We returned the original and a replacement turned up the very next day. Now all installed. My son is a very happy boy! would recommend!

I have used 16gb of ddr3 ram and I have used this 16gb of ddr4 ram. Both offer the same ram size but this is ddr4and higher clock speed so it is great. It does what it says on the box.

Nice looking chips. Ran straight out of the box with an ASUS 1151 motherboard. Definitely noticed a pick-up in speed, especially in photodraw and Elder Scrolls. I want more now.

Starts at 1,2 volts 2600mhz right off the bat, little bit of voltage adjustment you can easliy get them to 3000mhz on ryzen even a b350 mobo at 1.3 volts ! very good and cheap

26.10.2015

Looks and feels high quality, has a simplistic design(read: not over the top gamer extreme) and it delivers everything top of the line ram should, oh also It's obviously fast.
