Bought this to replace a Pinnacle USB hybrid TV dongle that recently failed after several years of daily service, was concerned that I would not be able to use this in the same way as I used the Pinnacle device due to it being an OEM system builder edition product tied to Windows Media Center and unable to be used with AverTV software. I needn't have worried It works just fine with DScaler 4.2.2 alpha for analogue TV using the composite capture from my DVB-T PVR and DVB-S PVR as well as the final freeware version of DVB Dream simultaneously! I can watch both PIP from the DVB-T PVR or DVB-S PVR and multiple PIP with or without sound using Dvb Dream v1.4i p1!Way more versatile than windows MCE!CPUusage while using the same applications is significantly lower with this than with the Pinnacle USB device, probably due to USB device overheads which don't exist on the PCI-X bus.The device does get fairly warm and in my laptop increases the operating temperature of the scondary harddrive under the PCI-X slot a by a few degree's so be aware of the extra internal heat source this can become. Also its receiver is very sensative, able to receive error free freeview in doors using the small rabbit ear stlye antenea with no external amplification in a moderate signal area where the DVB-T PVR needs a decent X yagi array and distribution amplifier!Sadly it does not support freeview HD channels and no firmware update is available to bring its claimed HD suport up to the UK freeview HD specs. Also no MHEG5 support in the system builder edition since that was a function of the AveTV interface which we system builders a denied access to.

I have had this product for a year and a half.Pros:*I am very satisfied, especially now that the price is so low (£20)*It fits perfectly in my laptop (similar products were sticking out of the laptop)*It has video recording and teletext.*It supports Analog signal (PAL/SECAM/NTSC) and DVB-T MPEG 2.Cons:*I am worried that the small antenna adapter cable is so small that may break (but hasn't done so in 1.5yrs)*Struggled playing MPEG-2 on my 2.5Ghz T9300 3year old processor*Does not receive MPEG-4 signal.*Software is bloated
