I have a weakness for Anglepoise lamps, and especially as Amazon have amazing offers on them. I'm not sure how many I have - 10 plus I guess. The 1227s are my favourite even displacing ny love of the chrome 1227 models. This is a classic in grey with brass fittings and a 'heritage' power cord.It's not cheap though so look out for offers and it needs to be professionally installed. I'll use a Hue connected light bulb with it, but with a standard bulb (not supplied) the on/off switch on the wall mounted disk is a bit fiddly to use. The box it comes in is fairly small - the Anglepoise box versions last forever and store my Christmas decorations.Overall a,classic.

This is a very stylish retro lamp, that although quite a dark grey, should blend in with multiple decors. Fitting is straightforward using a detachable mounting bracket for ease of fixture to the wall. Naturally the connection of any fixed electrical appliances should only be attempted by a person who is suitably qualified to do the job.The light switch is push button and is a little stiff in operation - not the lamps best feature, this is partly why I have given only four stars. The other reason for the four stars is the rather stiff price; I am not convinced it is £130 in value. Having said that I love it, and assuming you are willing to pay for quality I'd go for it!

It's taken me a while to get this light installed, but now I finally have I can say a few words about it. There's no doubt it's quality, the brass looks and feels very nice. Obviously it has a very classic, understated look which won't suit everyone, but I'd imagine if you're already looking at this kind of light, at this kind of (highish) price then you're likely the market it's aimed at anyway. For me personally, it wouldn't be my first choice of light if I was buying one, but it looks nice enough and functions as well as any other, so a solid 4 stars.

As expected this wall light is a perfect match for our elephant grey Anglepoise 1227 table lamp and just screams quality. The on/off switch is mounted on the wall plate and the mock vintage flex cable just adds to the aesthetic appeal. The wall connections are straightforward and standard and it looks fab in the study with vintage desk furniture.

Bought a pair of these to go either side of the bed, and to use in conjunction with Philips hue lights so that we can change the colours with amazon echo. The lights are easy to install, are well built and have a good paint job. They look like a quality item and at £50 each in the Amazon Black Friday week sale were quite a significant saving.

I'm a big fan of Anglepoise, and this lamp does not dissapointThe lamps arrived quickly (albeit a day slower than indicated) and were well packaged. These lamps are very easy to hang up and don't tend to require any specials screws/support as they are rather light.

I bought 3 of these to go on the walls in my lounge, and they give out loads of lights, or can be switched on and off individually, to create nice lighting in the evening. They are absolutely GORGEOUS! I am so pleased and got them for a great price. Thanks Amazon.

Good quality fitting with a dash of retro style. I have four of these in my kitchen now and they look superb. Easy to fit. A quick once over with an e-cloth now and then keeps them gleaming and looking brand new.

These wall lamps look great. The colour is as illustrated (apparently the models with plastic shades look a different colour when lit), the light direction can be adjusted. A great finishing touch to a room.

Very nice and stylish lights. We have put these above our bed, they work great as reading lights and provide good ambient lighting when directed to the wall. I especially love the red cable!

This is a lovely classy lamp which would look good on any wall. It's well made and gives a good but slightly subdued light. Well worth the money but you'll need more than one.

Really lovely and well made light fittings. We have two in a small retro-style utility room and that is enough to provide plenty of light. I would certainly buy these again.

Amazing lights. Look super stylish and give off lots of light. We have no main ceiling light in our lounge but the light from two lights is perfect to illuminate the room.

Thought they might be a bit too big to install on each side of the bed, but they look really cool and lovely. The colour is a slightly lighter grey than the photo.

Fitted on the wall as Bedside lamps. They are great and easy to fit by an electrician. Colour on picture is true to colour in real life - a dark grey.
