Well I can confirm they are waterproof as I rode with them this morning for over an hour in the rain & spray, mainly motorway works. They are a bit 'thicker' than I was expecting & were a little stiff. But now I've ridden with them, they have loosened up & they don't seem that thick! They are just long enough to be covered by the arm of my jacket, reducing the amount of rain / water drifting up the arm.
