Picked up a gift set of Acqua Di Parma's Bergamotto Di Calabria from John Lewis over the festive period after randomly checking out some of the fragrances on their shelves. I had never heard of the brand before but was instantly attracted to this scent upon first smelling the test card. Strong citrusy notes (bergamot and citron) and underlying hints of ginger, benzoin and vetyver make this a perfect fragrance for summer and day time use. The pleasant freshness of this fragrance is testament to the high quality ingredients used in its creation and the oils contained within can work to raise the spirits.The scent is obviously most powerful when first applied and although the longevity of the fragrance is pretty good,it doesn't last as long as some of my other fragrances which is a shame - it might be worth carrying the bottle around with you if you require a top up. Some reviews around the net state the odour only lasts for between 30-45 minutes but for me I find it goes as far as three to four hours. I picked up the 150ml bottle and feel confident it will last me a decent length of time even with regular use. If you can pick up a gift set (I am unsure if these are John Lewis exclusive) you will also receive a 75ml size body lotion and shower gel, both of which smell just as good as the spray itself.Although quite pricey, I would highly recommend Bergamotto Di Calabria. I have had numerous compliments about my new purchase and it has quickly become my most popular scent. If you are looking for a fresh, uplifting summer fragrance you need not look any further than this effort by Acqua Di Parma.

First time I have purchased premium after-shave / perfume with Amazon. So I had some concerns but at the price I decided to give it a go.I ordered on May 21 and today, June 6, I received my order. This was about 1 week earlier than the promised delivery date. Well doneI purchased this particular fragrance as I had a free sampler bottle which I loved and was looking for a new “go-to” aftershave having used various Jean Paul Gautier products for many many years. Yes, maybe the fragrance does not last as long as ideal but it is a truly superb fragrance whilst it lasts. Very happy indeed.

If you want a beautiful summer/ daytime fragrance with citrus notes this is perfect.It makes me think of warm days and exotic locations- all from one spray!
