I play a LOT of tennis and am trying to improve my game through personal, regular lessons, and a lot of team practice and matches. I play doubles and singles and am very serious about the game. That said, I'm giving this racquet 5 stars for now. I've only played with it a couple of times but each time was fairly long. I played with it today in a friendly singles tennis match against a woman whom I practice with, and is at least a 4.0 player. So far I like it. The strings are factory strings and are very tight - very little if any give even when hitting hard. I will probably get a good set of Prince strings put on it later on. It's a little heavier than my Head Ti.s6 (very light)and the weight seems to be mainly in the top part of the racquet head. That's good because I can get some extra down motion going in my serve thus more power. It has more power than my Head and I am still learning to keep it under control. I find my serves are going a little faster and deeper with this racquet than with my Head racquet. I also use to play with a Prince O3 racquet but found it to be on the heavy side - the Wilson Pro Staff is much lighter. My singles practice partner wanted to play with it today and she really loved it. It took her a while to get her serves where she usually places them but after about an hour of playing she was into this racquet. My coach took a look at this racquet and seemed to like it pretty good but didn't try it out. This review is from a female perspective and we don't usually hit as hard as men, so the review might not be as useful to you if you're male with a powerful stroke. The racquet I received for review has a grip size of 4 3/8" and I normally use a 4 1/4, but the 4 3/8 felt fine and I made good, well placed solid strokes with it. I might even move up to the a 4 3/8" later on. In conclusion, I think this would be a very good racquet for a man or woman and the price is reasonable (as of this review it costs $139.00). It's seems to be solid, well-constructed and well balanced (except for maybe the extra weight in the head but that really didn't seem to bother me in the least and it helped my serves.)

10 years ago, I got back into tennis with a tennis ball machine, ball hopper, stringing machine and tried one racquet after another with various strings and tried with numerous racquets to beat my Head Liquid metal 8 with Luxilon Original Rough strung at 33 lbs and based on opponent comments, nothing beat it back then.... until now. This Wilson Pro Staff Team, which I also string at 33 lbs with Luxilon Original Rough took a few weeks of losing to get used to the new feel, but I felt on first use that it had the potential to be better than my old racquet favorite. Now into my 5th week with this racquet and the improved control of this racquet is paying off. My two regular singles partners are both 3.5 rated, like me. With one, I was generally losing most sets, but for the first time won at 6-1. With the second, we would often split sets, but I won this morning, also at 6-1. This racquet forces you to take a bigger swing, but that only adds to the control you can get from it. It's a fine racquet for even beginners, in my opinion, but I'm now moving into 4.0 territory with it and I'm 64 years old. I'm perfectly content with this racquet and know I can do even more improving with it. My first serve is also more consistent, shot placement better, power strokes more likely to land near the baseline to give my opponents fits. My better opponent told me I had a number of "miracle returns" against her serve last week. A better racquet won't make you a good player, but the lack of one can hold you back from improving. Beginner through advanced for this racquet, if you like the feel as much as I do. And string and tension make as much difference as the racquet itself, maybe even more. I like low tension as it's easy on the elbow, the strings last longer and once you drop below 35 lbs, control returns, but you have great pop and a sound that's hard for your opponent to know how hard you just hit it. Enjoy!

I probably play tennis6-12 times a year. Because I have a son who has been playing in high school, I jumped at the opportunity to get this racket to be able to play with him a little bit.Well, he now prefers this racket to his own. While I'm not qualified to offer expert opinion, I can tell you that in the last three years I have purchased at least four different less-expensive rackets attempting to get my son something he felt good playing with on a competitive level. While this racket is essentially on par cost-wise with one he has been using this last tennis season, he considers this one superior. For what it's worth, which isn't very much,I would say that I have been able to play much better with this racket in my hand than any other I've used over the last several years. I'm happy to say even my son was quite impressed with some of the shots I was making, which seem to be augmented heavily by the quality of this racket.Lastly, by way of observation, I noted that the thickness of the frame is a little bit more than several of the rackets in this size and category. I think this is a good thing, as it has a much more solid feel in play than others I have used. It's firm and unyielding while making contact with the ball at all angles and circumstances I have encountered. The overall fit and finish is definitely a cut above. Oh yeah, the little :-) at the bottom of the racket is something my son added for me (so that's not included).Highly recommended.

I played tennis a little bit in high school and had originally wanted a Pro Staff when I first started out, but the tennis shop cracked the frame on three rackets trying to string it, so I ended up with a Prince racket that cost twice as much. I loved that Prince racket, but it probably wasn't worth the price for a player at my level.I only play casually now and I've only picked it back up fairly recently. Since my skills have regressed, I didn't care too much about my equipment. I picked up a Wilson racket from a big box store and have been fine with it. When I saw the Pro Staff available for me to try, I jumped at the chance. I've taken it out three times now and it seems to have good balance while being very lightweight.I'm also a fan of larger heads, so the 100 sq in head works for me. I also like the way the racket looks with the matte black finish. I can't say whether the Wilson sensation strings have been beneficial to my game, but I have no complaints either. The grip on the handle is fine, but I use an overgrip.I think anyone would benefit from playing with the Pro Staff Team, but while it's not the most expensive racket you can buy, beginners might want to look at less expensive rackets to start. I would've been content to keep playing with my other rackets, but I definitely prefer the Pro Staff. If you're an intermediate-level player or a beginner who prefers better equipment, I recommend trying the Pro Staff Team.

The first thing I noticed about the racket is how light it is. My kid plays high school tennis and has been using my 15-year-old Prince racket that was pretty much top of the line 15 years ago. It turns out that rackets are even lighter nowadays. The frame not as wide as my old racket so you hit the ball with the frame, less often. (which is nice)The strings were looser than my kid prefers, he wants tighter strings to be able to spike the ball and swing the racket harder with more control. This is not a big issue though, it is pretty inexpensive to get the racket restrung at the tension he prefers. He is also used to a bigger 'overgrip'. We will take of this as well. This is even less expensive than restringing the racket. Lastly, we have a shock absorber installed. The light rackets vibrate more than the heavier rackets so this will make a big difference. The racket looks great. It is black and white with silver accents. I would guess that most people would be happy with the performance right out of the box. The looser strings help novice players to get more ball speed with less effort. The grips are really a matter of preference. I would suggest a shock absorber. If you play for hours the vibration will start to hurt your hands and wrist without one. (I would suggest this on practically any racket)Very nice racket. We just needed to tweak it a little to be more like what my kid is used to. 5 stars.

While my skill hasn't increased, my pleasure in playing has. Better balanced and lighter than my garage sale special that I have used for decades, this racket is refreshing to use. I expect fewer looks of amusement at the club when they see me walk in. They still won't be intimidated or clamor to be my doubles partner, but they will know I am now playing with modern equipment. The true tennis player might want to skip this, but the casual player will be pleased. In fact, it is built with us in mind. It is nicely balanced and a comfortable weight. Pre-strung with Wilson Sensation 16L/1.25, connecting with the ball feels good. It still goes an inch over the line, but that's not the racket's fault. If you need a racket not made in the 1970s, this one's for you.--Brockeim

For this review, know that I speak as an OK tennis player, who loves the game but only plays in spurts when I find a companion player. My first racket was wood (no, I’m not that old), and since college I’ve used one I bought from my roommate, a serious player. Though out of fashion, I always liked the feel.I love this racket. The head size is large, but not ridiculous. The grip is comfortable, and most of all it’s lightweight. I haven’t changed the strings and don’t intend to. They’re fine for my level. It’s definitely the nicest I’ve owned (see above). It looks nice too.

The Good:-Great weight-Nice strings-Grip is tacky and provides great feel-Good for intermediate to advanced player-Good valueThe Bad:-No coverThe Bottom Line:I’m an intermediate level tennis player and this is a great tennis racket that has good balance and weight. The strings are pre strung and provide great feel for the tennis ball. The grip has a nice cushion and makes hitting comfortable and also provides good feel. Overall I would recommend this racket for intermediate to advanced players.

My son has been playing tennis with friends over the past year. Since he will be on a tennis team this year it was time for his own racket. This is a big step up from the budget rackets that I grew up with. It's lightweight and has a comfortable handle. I honestly don't know enough about the strings on a racket to be able to review that adequately but what I can say is that there's a noticeable difference between hitting a ball with this racket and one of our old basic Spaldings.

31.5.2019

This racket is nice. It's very lightweight and has good string tension. The grip on the racket is a nice tacky grip and is comfortable to hold. When compared to the Wilson Ultra team racket, this one performs better and feels nicer to swing. Both of the rackets are nice, but this one is better overall. I tried it out with our ball machine and found that it swings nicely and provides good ball control. Overall it's a good racket and I would certainly recommend it.

I have two Wilson Pro Staff Team Tennis Rackets, both 10 years old. I use them on a regular basis, and they've been restrung and had new wraps on their handles multiple times. So I was eager to check out this newer version. It seems a bit wider and a bit lighter, but I love the Wilson Pro Staff Team Tennis Racket! If you are a 3.5 or better player, you will appreciate this addition to your game!

Its a little light for me and i had to bump the weight up to 11.6 ounces to gain more stability. This racket is hella great at serve, volley and smash. Didnt get a lot of pop until i put on the dampener and trust me, its way better like you have superpower. Overall its a veryy good racket for the price.

17.6.2019

First thing I noticed about this racket was that it seemed to have a larger "sweet spot" than most. More of my shots flew nicer than they do with my regular racket, which requires more precise aiming. It's also lightweight, and has a comfortable grip. Guess I have a new regular racket!

3.6.2019

This racket feels great. It's got a lovely weight to it. Good balance. Ball springs off the strings. The grip is really nice. It's much better than my old racket I got at Costco, and a significant step up above Wilson's introductory racket. Very happy with it!

27.5.2019

Probably the best racket I've ever owned. Well that is actually for sure. I love it. Who knew it would feel so much better to swing and hit!!??I've been taking lessons and decided to step-up the equipment and am so glad I did.
