This is an outstanding tent. I bought it last summer to do the GR5 (Lake Geneva to Nice, across the Alps), where I slept in it every night for three weeks, usually in the wild. During this trip I faced terrible weather on several occasions, which the tent was totally unphased by. I also pitched it on rough and stony ground but the groundsheet remained intact. With practice I could pitch it in under 10 minutes and strike it in about 5. I actually dispensed with the lateral guy ropes to save time and hassle. At 6ft4 I bought the two man tent for myself, which was prudent because, with my rucksack, I fit inside perfectly. I understand the XL version is sought after for this reason. It isn't quite tall enough for me to sit up in, but I managed by lying propped on one elbow. The tent has some minor foibles. Not being able to sit up is one. The rather cumbersome outer side-flaps are another. The weight is not negligible either, but it is decent. The pegs bend, but are good for most terrains, and brightly coloured. During my trek I had many opportunities to compare my tent with much more expensive models and it compared favourably, being widely admired by others. I could let the small shortcomings take it down to 5 stars, because other tents are better, but for this price nothing even gets close. They are only small niggles and on the whole it is a truly outstanding piece of design. It is durable, simple and honest. I have formed a strong attachment to this tent and would recommend it most highly. Buying it for what it is, a good value, no frills, basic backpack tent cannot lead to disappointment.

Not a bad backpacking/hiking/mountain tent, and excellent value for money, can't be beaten on price in my estimation.Used it in some quite quite bad weather conditions now and it stood up well, heavy rain and some quite high winds, kept me as snug as a bug in a rug and nice and dry, it has good waterproof qualities, likewise windproofing. Not bad weightwise either, not too heavy at all, around 1.5 kilos which isn't very much, doesn't break your back on long walks.Just a couple of wee gripes, niggles. The inner tent isn't bathtub, i.e the groundsheet doesn't rise above the ground as bathtub groundsheet tents groundsheets do, normally a couple of inches or so, there's none on this tent, the inner tents flysheet stretches all the way to the ground, could be a problem with heavy flowing water, the inner could quite easily flood under such conditions I should imagine. And secondly I find getting into the tent a bit of a struggle and effort due to the fact that I have to bend and crouch down badly because the door has quite a low entrance, quite low, you have to contort yourself in really. All in all though I'd recommend this tent and give it four stars out of five. Not perfect because of the reason/reasons I set out above, but hey, nothing in life is. Once again a good sound waterproof/weatherproof mountain/hiking/backpacking tent that's quite light and won't break your back, nor your wallet either, its good value for money

Such a great tent. I've used it several times already on Dartmoor and in Cornwall, the fact that it is so light makes walking and camping on a hole so much more enjoyable. It has a quick put up time and has survived well in windy conditions. Fairly quick delivery too!
