I’ve not been camping for 20ish years, and my teenage son suggested we go this summer. Having looked online at recommendations, I decided upon this tent for a few reasons. I wanted a tent with a decent porch for cooking in wet weather, for rucksacks, or my bicycle (although it’s going to be a tight fit for the bike). It is also one of the lightest tents, so great for backpacking or touring on my bike. The other clincher was the length in the sleeping compartment. I’m 6ft 1. It’s advertised as a two person tent, but it is quite narrow! It will be a tight squeeze with my son, but when I go camping on my own it will be fab.Having not put up a tent for decades, and also to get some practice,and check all the parts were in working order, I decided to put it up in my garden. There is no ground sheet for the porch area, but you can purchase separately a footprint for the whole of the tent, that then creates a groundsheet for the porch area.Considering I was a) putting this tent up on my own, b) it was breezy c) it was my first attempt, I was impressed that it took around 15 minute, from start to finish. I think it could take as little as ten minutes with practice, and quicker than that with a second person helping.The only downside to this tent that I received m, was one guy line was missing. However, Millets sent one out within 24hrs, so good on them for quality customer service.I’ll update this review, when I’ve tested it out in real world situations.

Used recently in Cornwall where we had 55mph winds for two days, camp site on thin layer of grass over sand. Tent stayed up no problem, poles a little bent but still serviceable. Pegs brilliant. Whilst other tents (with standard wire pegs) suffered from pegs being pulling out (in the wind) tent stayed up with only couple pegs coming loose in the very poor ground. Well impressed.

Great tent, can put up in minutes. Very sturdy and well made. Lots of room for 2 people.
