The Coshee is a the lower end of the Terra Nova / Wild Country series of tents but that's a good thing because you benefit from the design experience of a proper tent making firm without paying stupid money. It's dead simple to erect - the poles are linked and pop together without thought, shove through a short sleeve and a few snap-on clips, 4 peg points shared by the fly and inner and 4 more for the guys which also hold open the ventilation flaps. I've done it in the sun and the rain with no probs. Instructions are printed on the bag if you're forgetful. Inside it's reasonably roomy. I mean, you'd need to know the other person pretty well to use as a two man but most "2 man" tents are the same.Perfect for a couple, man and child or very good mates. Maybe not so good if you're both prop forwards. There are porches on both sides for kit. For one it's nice and spacious with enough room for a wide mat and all your kit inside the inner if you want. The porches are OK and shielded enough for a spot of cooking. The materials are necessarily quite light as are the poles which seem pretty strong. The pegs are 10g aluminium angle jobs, light, effective but easily bent. Guys are reflective in torch light. I've been in mine on the hills in reasonably winds and it seems good and stable, especially if pitched into the wind. It's kept my dry in proper rain and snow. At just under 2KG it's acceptable for one man backpacking and very good split between two. Lighter is always nicer but for £100 it's extremely good. I'd change the zips to make them easier to operate when you'';re in your bag but otherwise it's a fine tent.

Bought this tent to replace my Coleman Bedrock, which is a very similar design. I also treated myself to the groundsheet/footprint as this was the reason I had to replace the Bedrock (hole in the bottom).I am not disappointed with this tent at all. It is slightly bigger than the Bedrock and the addition of the second pole at the foot end keeps the tent away from your feet. The poles are made of aluminium instead of fibreglass. Hopefully that will prevent them from breaking as quickly! After pitching it for the first time and attaching the inner, I can put this up in about 3 mins. Putting it away is even easier.Leave the inner attached and you can have it in the bag in one minute!Once packed away it is very compact and easy to carry in a backpack or on a bike.My only criticism is that the zip for the inner doors only has one zipper. When it's done up the zip is at your feet. Would be much more comfortable to have this near the head end or, better still, have two zippers.

Its a great tent for price and value for money. It even won Trail magazines best value award.Ive used it a number of times, hiking, kayaking and I recommend. Its roughly 2kg weight, which is reasonable for this price point. It is a 2 man tent, tho theres little room for kit inside if 2 people use it. But it is an excellent 1 man tent.Inside the wedge shape, there is room to sit up, but not stand up. No surprises! Its reasonably easy to set up once youve done it once.I can recom

Easy to erect, looks good, quite roomy too. Plenty of room for one plus rucksack and other kit. Or two with less kit.
