I've been wanting a leather messenger style bag for some time now. I have a Tumi leather bag that I bought several years ago but I find it too bulky and too heavy these days. The Tumi was £350 12 years ago. I looked at some other bags, going up to £500 and just didn't think they represented money for value. I was amazed when I saw the price of this bag and opted for it based on the price, the look of it and the good reviews. I thought that at this price, I wasn't going to lose too much if it was poor quality or I didn't like it. I'm happy to say that I am extremely pleased with this bag. The quality at this price is very impressive. It's made from quality leather that is beautifully stitched and fitted with high quality brass fittings.

Extremely good bag, you would expect it to cost twice what it does.I purchased this bag in 2013 for my MacBook and it is still used today and still looks as good as it did the day it arrived. The leather is very thick and lined all the way around the inside which not only leaves a quality feel it also protects the contents from bumps. There are plenty of compartments inside and a quick access zipped compartment on the back which you can access without opening the pouch.The two pouches on the front hold an A5 notebook perfectly and the main compartment holds a 15 macbook with room for A4 notepads also.It's a comfy bag to carry and the sling is still in great condition,

The best thing in this bag is that it remains it shape and always looks sharp. The material looks and feels like a really good quality. Before this bag I had some leather bags which lost their shape and became loose after some use. This bag will look the same, no matter how much stuff you put in it. I've even got some compliments in a middle of a day from random people telling me how cool bag I have.The bag would be perfect for me if it would be just a bit smaller and made of "normal" real leather instead of suede -like leather.With this price it is pretty hard to find any bag even close this good quality. I've been using the bag daily now for few weeks. It feels like durable and I hope it lasts.

This is really a very nice bag! I will spare you the details about how awesome it is and just give you the few things I find most important compared to the other reviews:1) I have only had this bag for a couple of week, but I have experienced ABSOLUTELY no problems with colors coming off to anything.2) The bag is a little smaller than I expected - wouldn't be sure to get a 17" laptop in without an effort - but it will fit a 15.6" nicely (I fit a 13.3" MacBook Pro in a sleeve with room to spare in width/height). It is also not extremely deep, but it fits my MacBook, charger and launch nicely. Might expand more if I try to get more in there.All in all a very nice looking,

I am absolutely delighted with this item. The bag as so many others have said is incredible quality for such a great price. This is on a par with one for 3 times the price from a designer Brand.The Briefcase includes a smaller internal section which perfectly fits a 15" laptop with room to spare. Just to clarify, several previous reviewers claimed that a 15" laptop fits "at a squeeze." This is absolutely not the case, it fits perfectly!I have some reservation over the durability of the buckles on the front that fasten the bag closed. Hopefully in months /years to come it wont be an issue but i suspect they are the only potential iussue with the bag.For the price you absolutely cannot go wrong,

Well what can I say, this bag is fab.I was slightly reluctant to buy a bag for £80 (that's quite a lot)However, I'm 16 and just going into college so I need a bag to carry all my books, and this bag is perfect!It sits perfectly on your body and has plenty of compartments for my stuff ^.^It was a slightly grayer colour than I expected but it still has the gorgeous old professorial vibe.I am a girl and I LOVE IT :PHowever, if you have long nails (especially fake nails), be careful it's easy to make scratch marks.I have to say it's the kind of bag that makes you want to use it all the time, not just for what you bought it for.It comes nicely wrapped and in good time.Buy It, Dead Worth It.xx

Fabulous value, really well made bag.. fits a 15" laptop fine, with the power cable stashed underneath. I also have an A3 notepad, a big calculator, my glasses case, and some papers in here, and it doesn't look or feel over-stuffed.Just be aware that's it's not huge... much more man-bag in profile than old-fashioned briefcase.All the leather on Visconti stuff is fantastic quality... to echo what other reviewers have said, their products genuinely look like they should cost at least twice times as much as they actually do.NB: Saw a comment on here about flimsy catches... they look pretty standard to me, and 2 months in, no issues. I'll update the review if that changes.

Spent a lot of time looking for a messenger bag that could fit my Uni materials, my MB and the "ancillary" stuff I usually take around with me. I immediately liked the distressed look and leathery smell, and could fit my 15.4' MB Pro with no problem at all. However, I soon realised I had to return it, since it just wouldn't fit everything I was used to carry (document folder, ipad, book, etc.). I would say the issue was the depth: at 10 cms, it was hard to fit a 400pp. casebook in one compartment and the document folder in the other one. Went for the Prime Hide upgrade of 15cms, but if you don't need the extra space, this bag will surely make you happy!

I was a little apprehensive as this hadn't yet been reviewed. Wanted a nice quality rustic bag without it costing the earth.This seemed like a good option. I struggled to find anything that looked as good for a similar cost.It was a little smaller than I expected, but in a good way.Seems well built with good quality materials. Closures were a little fiddly to start with, bu loosen up with use.There's plenty of storage including a pouch if you want to keep your phone in it.I'm sure it could be used as a laptop bag if desired.Overall it suits my need for fairly light use. It may do for heavy use, but I haven't tried.

This is great value for the price. To put it in context, we looked at similar branded bags in a major department store and they were all between £200 and £250, and this is as good as any of them. The only difference is that it isn't a brand name.It's a darker brown than you'd think, with a very slightly oiled finish, so it should look good when it's been knocked about a bit. The handle is thick and solid and the whole thing has a quality feel which surpasses its price. Either that or the more famous names are vastly overpriced. I reckon it's the latter.Definitely an excellent buy for the price.

This is a quality product which I just got as a present and i love it. It not only looks good but smells good (real leather). The bag is a nice size not too bulky or heavy. I will use this for work and will be carrying it daily and it feels robust enough for that. With previous bags I had too many compartments and tended to carry too many papers etc and it got heavy causing neck and shoulder strain and difficulty in finding things. I do not anticipate similar problems with this.

. .en route to his office in the Amazon. Great distressed leather, big enough to take an A4 lever-arch file. It may well smudge dye onto pale clothes, but who wears pale clothes to work, apart from medical consultants and Egyptian mummies? On my daily commute to Hull, it informs my fellow travellers that I must be 'something big in the city', rather than a trawler-skipper returning to sea. Even takes my packed lunch and collection of Practical Haddock magazines.

I bought this bag as a birthday gift for my fiance, who's a lecturer at the university here, and we couldn't be more pleased. The slightly distressed leather has gotten a rough, "I'm cool", look to it in the year that he's had it and the strap is comfortable. The bag has withstood regular use for the past year, lugging papers and books back and forth, and he's gotten loads of compliments. Recommend highly.

Undeniably a great quality bag, the leather strong and the stiching faultless. It arived well packaged and I am very pleased with the appearance and value for money. However the bag I recieved was a lot darker than the one displayed here. I'm hoping that will lighten with wear.a great product otherwise and fantastic quality and value! Thanks

This is the second of these bags I have owned. The first was a gift and it was fantastic - smart ,stylish and durable. I used it almost daily for the best part of 5 years. I often use public transport (so not straight from car to classroom) and I carry a lot of stuff around! I would recommend - well I've replaced it with an identical bag.
