Don't know what people are going on about with there bad reviews. For the price what you expect? A steel volt or something? If you want a more stronger lock pay more for it. For the price this lock is. Perfect!!! Sturdy and thick.. Will take a very strong attempt by someone with a crow bar or a hack saw (sawing about 10-20 minutes I reckon by the material it is made from) I'm a scaffolder so I know my materials.. For the price this is perfect.. The lock mechanism inserts well and locks pretty easily.. Not perfectly smooth, but unless your a toddler or someone with no wits. Easy to use... Love this lock for the price, can't complain...

I paid £8.89 and it was the cheapest D locks available at the time. The image and description corresponded to the lock.It's heavy and the bars are quite thick. It has a cap over the key slot and it came with 2 keys. I don't use the bracket but if you do be aware it doesn't feel that strong.My bike is very old so I think there is more chance the lock gets broken than my bike gets stolen. I will update this review if that happens but for now I am very happy with this lock.

I like D-locks. They are much less bother than chains or cables for locking up bikes. However, the most vulnerable point on the lock is the key mechanism. The most robust system I have used over the years is the circular key (Ace Lock). It is also easy to use. There has been some recent concern about the pickability of such locks but then again if someone is determined enough, all locks can be picked !!

Good item. No problems for the moment. Good dimensions for my bike (22" frame). Combined with "On-Guard Akita-8044 Looped Cable - Black, 12.0 x 1.0 cm" just perfect security for my bike.Will see if the key becomes so rusty as they say and difficult to open. So far no problems. Will say if any changes.

A solid and easy to use lock for a child (brought it for my little brother). Have had no problems so far.Its a little hard to ride and have it attached though as it rattles a lot but that is common with most locks of this type.Would recommend this to others.

I like the lock. I just wish there were instructions with it, especially on fixing the bracket. That really would have helped a lot instead of fiddling with it to see how it works. Apart from that, it is very strong and worth buying.

Purchased this for my son's new bike. The lock is quite heavy (just what you need if the new bike isn't to get stolen!) Very sturdy, good quality lock. 10/10 for this product.

Brilliant but the bracket broke so I had to super glue it. Stronger bracket mold needed. Apart from the bracket I can't fault the product.

good. but after rain, the turn is not so smooth. generally, it is a good bargain,cos it is more reliable than chain lock.

GREAT LOCK VERY GOOD PRICE,VERY EASY TO USE AND WOULD RECCOMEND TO ANYONE FITS MOST BIKES AND COMES WITH TWO KEYS.

Fantastic lock, although when we lost the key it took ages to open it, but that's what you want.... Right?!?!
