I have another Vango tent from a few years back - it's very similar to the Dart once erected (a three-man, double-walled basic camping tent). "Once erected" is the key phrase here, though! The old version has poles to join together, to thread through various bits of tent, to snag your fingers and generally frustrate you. On the other hand, the Dart takes, well, a couple of seconds to put up. Just take it out of its zip-up circular carry-bag and shake it a bit - it quite literally pops up, leaving you with a handful of tent pegs to stick in the ground to hold the tent down, and four adjustable guy ropes. The carry bag has backpack-style straps. They are fairly rudimentary, but they work well enough for a short trip.In fact this is where the Dart and all other "pop-ups" have a bit of a draw back - they don't pack down well for a serious hike; they remain stubbornly circular and just a little to large to strap sensibly to your pack. That's a shame, especially as far as the Dart is concerned, as once up it's every bit as good a proper camping tent as anything I have seen. It is double walled, the zips, seams and "porch" area are all high quality and I would expect them to last well, as you would expect from Vango. If you can get beyond the shape once packed down, it is a remarkably good "pop up".I attached two photos of the tent in my small garden. As you can see, the Dart maintains a pretty compact form factor. As a three-manner, I would say it would be quite cozy in there - perhaps two adults or a few kids would be more like it (although I would say that about just about any so-called three man tent these days). The main door flap can be rolled and tied back. Finally, to aid with zipping or simply to close the door flap without locking out the fresh air, it can be closed via velcro fasteners that are sewn into several key paces around the main flap. When erected, the tent has a small porch area that is just right for shoes.

Bought this for my first solo camping trip after a bit of research. As a short woman a lot of tents would be impossible to pitch on my own so went for a pop-up one.Very easy to put up - less than five minutes to have it open and pegged but do take the time to watch the video on the Vango website about collapsing it. I practised at home so had no trouble when I wanted to pack up, but there's a definite knack to it.Plenty of space for one person and all their stuff inside and a small porch area which was big enough for a cool bag and cooking bits. The only problem I had was water ingress because the lower edge of the outer lies flat and there's a join between the bottom and side/top zip.Solved the problem easily by putting my shoe against the edge to keep it upright.I think this tent would be OK for two people but three would only possible if you didn't need to store anything in the tent.

For a reduced price with an additional 20% summer discount you can't go wrong! Vango is a good make and the spec on this tent is excellent. I chose it because it has a double skin which should reduce the condensation drips and it can withstand more pressure of rain than similar tents. We will be using it for overnight stops driving around France this summer holiday. Having very quickly put it up in the garden, I'm not sure we'll want the bother of using our larger tent, unless it rains and we want somewhere indoors to sit comfortably. We'll be more likely to keep driving until the rain stops! If I have any problems with it I'll update this later. I do recommend that, unless you have packed away a pop-up tent before, you watch a video on you tube on how to do it before you try. Once you've seen it done it gives you more confidence to twist poles that don't seem to want to be twisted!

Use this for occasional camping but more for storage when I take the campervan. It’s rock solid when pegged out properly & as waterproof as can be expected from a 3000HH tent - which means waterproof for most wet weather. If it’s blowing rain at 45mph you’re going to get a bit of leakage via the zip but that happens with tents with a higher HH too. I’d use a small waterproof ground sheet as the sown in one doesn’t appear to be that robust. Roomy for 2 & a squeeze for 3 adults. Easy to put up but have a practice putting it away before you go - easy once you get the hang of it. I wouldn’t waste my money on any other pop up for multiple use. Has the original Dart for 5+ years before the groundsheet went. This looks just as good if not better. Shop around you’ll find them a lot cheaper elsewhere.

Excellent tent. Wanted a double skin for extra waterproofing and haven't been disappointed with it during a wet weekend in Cumbria. It's too large in my opinion to take in a backpack if you're trekking, but this is a comfortable tent for 2 if you're able to transport it, and the shoulder straps work for when there is a walk from the car to the camping pitches. Up in 30s, down in 2 minutes - we got some very jealous looks from other campers who had clearly spent an hour in the rain pitching their tents, as these are dead simple to pitch once you know how they work. I'd recommend a quick practice in the warm and dry of your home prior to pitching for the first time - the taking down is the trickypart.

Very simple, sturdy and fast to erect and fold away. Sure the taking down takes a couple of goes to get the bends right but then it really is simple. The 66cm diameter is a little cumbersome on a canoe:) but so light and fast it was well worth it.At 187cm tall I found I had to lie diagonally inside so really a one man tent if you're above average height but plenty of floor space inside for me and 7 days worth of camping and canoeing equipment. All in all I was very pleased with the product. The delivery was lacking as I was assured it would arrive next day by Amazon with my Prime trial. It didn't. It arrived as I drove down the road for my trip 48 hours after I paid for it. Not cool.

I have to say this tent pops-up the instant the securing strap is released. It appears to be good quality and quite spacious. I think three people would have to be quite cosy but for me alone or for 2 people it will be great. However, it does take a bit of practise to get it to pop-down again!! I had it erected in my lounge for 12 hours but found a very useful video on Youtube showing how to twist it back into the size to fit the carrying bag. I eventually managed it and could use the lounge again.

Pop up tents are perfect for short overnight stays when travelling. Easy to set up, easy to fold back. This model is double skinned so you will not get wet when it rains. We bought it for our last 2/3 day trip across West Ireland and it was everything what we expected to be. No problem to fit in two grown ups and one below 40kg dog :) - A really good choice in the pop up tent category.

Great quality tent, very easy to pop up-however would highly recommend watching YouTube on how to get it back into bag! Would say it is a very tight squeeze for a 3 man tent but very comfortable for two 'large' adults! Inner tent sagged quite low making my partner feel claustrophobic. Kept us dry and cosy on a very wet Scottish camping trip. Perfect tent for beginners of Wild camping.

Be aware, this is a genuine 3 man tent, I bought it as a replacement for the children's cheapy pop up play tent as this was on a screaming offer, but tbh it's too big for the job. Will stick hold of it for camping in the garden when the kids are older. It's obviously very easy to pitch, but isn't to bad to collapse and pack either. There's a knack but the instructions are helpful.

2 man tent=1 man tentIf you follow this rule this tent offers great space for 1 person and super easy popping up. If you are unlucky enough to have 2 people in the tent it is possible but space will be very limited. The porch is only just enough to fit 2 bags but it's really uncomfortable. Buy this if you will be alone.

Great tent - does what it says on the tin ! As per all other comments, the tent is a little tricky to get back in the bag, and the 3 steps instructions provided by Vango are about as useful as a chocolate tea-pot... But they do have a link on their website showing someone putting it away - after that it easy-peasy !

Great quality pop up tent that would certainly provide amble space for 2 people. We bought it for us as a 'pup' tent along side our camper van just to store stuff in so the quick pitch is a real bonus and packs away fairly flat so easy to store - Not sure it would be too convenient if you were backpacking though.

What a great tent! The 3 ‘man’ is a comfortable size for a couple, or a couple with one small baby... so so easy to put up and though it’s a bit of a squeeze, not too difficult to put away in its handy outer bag.The outer bag has some small straps to make it easy to carry on your back too. Fantastic value.

Great tent. I use it for beach fishing and it is perfect. I use it on my own but would say that it would fit two adults comfortably not any more than that. Good strong quality. Make sure that you go on line to YouTube and see how it is folded back up as it could be damaged if you get it wrong.
