I haven't field-tested the tent yet but it looks a worthy successor to my trusty Phoenix Phreedome (35 years old and showing its age)! That tent cost me about £100 back in the early eighties so I was dreading the cost of a new technical tent with decades of inflation to be added on so the price at £180, the Vango was a pleasant surprise. It has a lot of simple features that were missing in the Phreedome; bug-netted ventilation for a start as well as tension straps at the pegging points. My days of winter camping are long gone but I am confident that this tent will give me a comfortable time from late spring to early autumn. I do wonder, though,

Excellent quality, price point, and performance. Fast to put up and down and great it erects as one so during rain inner stays dry. Good size for one person plus gear with good headroom, while being fairly robust but compact to carry, and easily copes with heavy rain. Not enough pegs for all peg points and could do with some storage pockets at other end but very happy with this tent.

Had it out twice now in the mountains... handled the wet Scottish weather really well...very sturdy in the winds compared to my Vango tempest 300. Very little tent noise from the wind. I wish I got the 3 man version as I like my living space when stuck inside the tent when the weather is poor. I love the tent bag makes packing very easy. Well happy with it ??

I bought this as my Snugpack Scorpion 2 is too small (I touch both ends and am only 5’8”. No such issues with the Vango!The quality is first class and at £139 this is the cheapest in the country: it arrived from Scotland virtually the next day! 100% satisfied! Buy one! ?

Great little tent. Bit hard to pack in a backpack due to the width but goes in easy with the poles separated.Well waterproofed, floor does let a little dew in after a few days which could be solved by a footprint (none online atm tho all sold out)

Great tent, everything you need for a backpacking/ hiking trip. I'm using it just for myself so the weight somewhat a concern, but not for the space and build quality it provides. A good purchase
