As stated in the title, these bars are strong and easy to fit.The can only be used on cars with Roof Rails. They are universal fit. As the bars were too long for my car, it was easy to pull off one end cap on each bar and cut with a hacksaw and replace the end cap. The bars themselves are metal with a hard plastic wrap. The whole process from delivery to completely fitted was about 15 mins.They also come with 2 locking keys. I keep one on my key chain and one in the glovebox.

I bought this and was very surprised at how good it fitted and works.It is lockable - so that's a bonus.I put the clamps on the outside since my roof is curved but this was no problem and made the fitting that bit easier.All in all a great product at a great price.Many thanks

Super easy to fit once you figure out the lever mechanism. Need to open up the screw mechanism fully first for Land Rover Freelander bars. May be true of other vehicles too. Once on they are very solid.

I had trouble finding bars that said they could be cut down as my mini is only 1m wide - these worked perfectlyI suspect others can to - but they need to say it
