First off; I AM an outdoor person who goes hillwalking and climbing. I DO use a GPS...a Garmin Etrex...which is useful for proving instant grid references,distances walked,average speeds etc etc. Plus you can use it to set a course from A to B or even via several pre programmed waymark points to get to your destination. Handy if you are in the mountains in mist for example.Can you do the same with the Ultrasport GPS Home Tracker? It would appear not! I'm baffled to see just what you can use this for. It does have a GPS compass which you need to calibrate on switch on. Problem is, mine switches off before the process is complete.

Unfortunately every time I plug this into my PC to charge up I get the blue screen of death and Windows shuts down. I'm not sure if this is because it is incompatible with Windows 7 (unlikely as this is a relatively new product) or (if I'm being generous) it is conflicting with other programmes on my PC. As I currently do not posses a charger that has a USB cable I cannot charge this to enable me to use it. I would love to be able to test this out but with no way of charging this that doesn't affect my PC I am unable to do so. Maybe a software review is required??

Would not power on or charge via cable.
