Ultrasport supply a range of exercise bikes - from the neat and compact folding F-Bike to the slightly more demanding `Racer' series which includes the 50, 150 and 600 models. All of the bikes are designed for moderate home use, rather than intensive gym workouts, and with that in mind the Racer 150 is a good option for daily exercise sessions.ASSEMBLY is fairly straightforward, with clear instructions and diagrams, and only two basic tools required - a spanner and an Allen (or hex) key. Both of these are supplied.WEIGHT of fully assembled bike is 20kg.STABILITY of the bike is excellent, with sturdy feet to prevent movement during use. To aid transportation the front feet have wheels,so the bike can be easily pushed around to a new location.NOISE level is exceptionally quiet . During use it is barely audible, and can be used while others are watching TV in the same room without distraction. This low noise level is an important feature for me - it does encourage you to use it without annoying those around you.WEIGHT LIMIT. The specifications state a maximum load of 100kg (15st 11lb).HEIGHT LIMIT. There is no specific guide to user height limits provided by Ultrasport, but the saddle adjustments are wide enough to account for most adults - from a lowest of 64cm/25ins inside leg up to a maximum of 89cm/35ins. These are the measurements from the saddle to the pedals. The saddle is raised/lowered in increments of 3cm/1.1ins.CONSTRUCTION. The bike is well built and very solid. The styling and finish are attractive, and it does look like a nice piece of furniture in the corner of the room. I felt the LCD display module was a little plasticky, in slight contrast to the rest of the bike, but it works well so it's not a major problem. The bike doesn't actually fold up, so once set up it's pretty much going to take up that much room all the time - 129cm high, 85cm long, 45cm wide.IN USE the bike feels solid and comfortable. The tension control button has settings from 1 to 8 and can be adjusted while riding. 1 is very easy for most people while 8 offers a surprisingly stiff level of resistance. The flywheel is 1.5kg and has a freewheel mechanism such that you can stop pedalling and the flywheel continues for a short while (rather than the pedals having a direct drive to the flywheel). The ergonomics are good, with the pedals positioned below the saddle rather than a forward position as with the folding F-Bike, which gives a riding position more akin to a real bike.FEATURES include speed, distance (cumulative and trip distances), cycling time, pulse rate and calories used. This is all that is required for general training.SUMMARY. For those looking to get fit this is a well-made product which gives a more challenging exercise session than the F-Bike. It feels more like a road bike - hence the name racer - than the more gently inclined F-Bike, and its pleasing looks ensure it is welcome in the room when not in use.

a really really solid build the photo on the blurb has a picture of a person using it stood up and yes you can do it ,i have tried it to see and its that solid . The unit is easy to set up although a extra pair of hands can come in useful it is not required as i put this together myself with the tools provided (spanner and allen key/screwdriver). reading the instructions for assembly it said to first check all the screws ect were there , i couldn't see them all but proceeded to check through the parts and found some were in the frame and some were in the back of the computer top.The feet rails are flatter than on the 800A and i found it not so easy to move as the wheels seemed slightly too far round, they also do not level but the unit was very stable and didnt seem to need that feature.when assembled the unit looks as sturdy as any gym quality bike but be aware that these are probably not for very small people as i am 5 ft 11 and i have the saddle only one notch up from the lowest setting that said the seat is infinitly adjustable ,up and down and forwards and back and is very wide and padded for a fairly if not sofa comfortable ride. the riding position is also the key to if you would buy this unit or the 800A bike that is also available from ultrasport on amazonhttp://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00I2MCUK6this bike is a good buy if you like a more racing bike /leaned over type cycling position where as the 800A has a more upright riding position with a more eliptical bike/upright set of handle bars. my husband really likes this 1000A model.this bike is a good size as we have had difficulty with my knees hitting the handle bars in the past but with this ,even with the seat as far forward as it will go i still have a good 6 inches of clearance.the computer at the front is easy to set up even not using the instructions and can be set up for multiple users, adding your height and weight will add to it as the computer can then work out your BMI as well as give you a body fat estimate so no need for a separate body fat tester. the unit has twelve preset programes that really test you and a manual mode for when you want to be in control.the read out is both large and clear to read.i did notice that in the manual the plug was shown as a standard british plug but the unit i received came with a 2 pin plug and an adapter plug which looks sturdy and did the job so no complaints there.you will be pleased with this product, i am . i have had several static bikes over the years and i think this range from ultrasport have to be some of the best we have used. and great for low /no impact training.real serious kit for beginner and enthusiast

The folds on my stomach suggest that I need to think about doing some more exercise and what better way than on an exercise bike? I can think of a few, but seeing as I got the ‘Racer 1000A’ from Ultrasport, I may as well try this. It comes in one giant box and is heavy to carry, but is manageable with one strong person or two not so strong. This is not my first exercise bike rodeo and the most noticeable thing about my old bike was the difficulty I had in building it – especially linking the weighted centre to the dial that changes the tension. Therefore, I was pleasantly surprised that the ‘1000A’ was relatively easy to set up and start using.Once using the device you can feel that it of a decent quality just by sitting on it.It feels very solid and does not wobble around when you are using it, even on a higher setting. The seat is also comfortable and easily adjustable for people of various heights – it changes from 5ft 7 to 6ft in this house easily. I found this a slick exercise bike, in terms of both looks and use. The handles are pretty funky, but it is the user-friendly computer that tells you calories/pulse etc. that is the most useful element. You also get some predesigned journeys that will change how easy/difficult the ride is – something you do not see on more basic models. The look of the ‘1000A’ as a whole is personal taste. There are others in the Ultrasport range and in from other providers that do a similar job, but look different. I like the ‘1000A’ because it takes up slightly less room, but think the Nintendo Entertainment System feel is a little odd – black is more my thing. However, this is personal taste and does not reflect in any way on the product itself – a very solid exercise bike that is easy to set up and use.

The Ultrasport Exercise Bike Racer 150 comes in a surprisingly small box, so there's a fair bit of assembly required. Thankfully, the instructions are clear, so it didn't take me too long to assemble this. The bike looks quite well made and sturdy, and I find the seat adequately padded and comfortable. The pedals and handlebars are well positioned, providing a comfortable riding position. The bike is fairly quiet in operation and feels good to ride. There's a 4 kg flywheel with 8 levels of magnetic resistance; although, level 8 isn't that difficult, so while it's sufficient for light to moderate cardio, general fitness and rehabilitative exercise, it's probably not suitable for those looking to do a hardcore intensive cardio workout, where a much heavier flywheel would be required.Unlike some other exercise bikes I've used in the past, this utilizes a freewheel, so when you stop pedaling the wheel continues to spin, simulating outdoor cycling, which I really like. The onboard computer is very basic, but sufficient for it's intended purpose. The computer shows your speed, distance, time, calories and pulse. The screen is small and does not fit all of the information on together, but the computer does include the option to scan through all of the information automatically, which I find OK.Overall, This is a good value and sturdy exercise bike that is suitable for general home fitness, but those requiring more intensive workouts should probably look elsewhere.

The Ultra sport racer 900m is a stationary bike to be used in the home to improve fitness, cariovascular and muscular health. This bike is a great asset to anyone who wants to exercise in the comfort of their own home. The bike has a heavy base (for safety), a comfortable padded seat that is also adjustable to your height, bottle and bottle holder with comfortable foam bars. The computer function scans include:Time - showing elapsed workout time in minutes and secondsSpeed - displaying your workout speed value KM per hour from 0.0 to 999.9Distance - including accumulative distance travelled during each workout from 0.00 to 99.99KMCalories - cumulative calories burned at any given time in yourworkoutPulse - your pulse rate in beats per minute during your workoutRPM - showing your pedal repetitionsThere is an up and down key to enable you to view the above at any given workout time. There is also a tension dial to increase and decrease intensity from 0 - 8. 0 being very easy and 8 harder especially if kept to a faster speed. The bike was not excessively difficult to assemble, but it does help if you have assembled something like this before.I have enjoyed being able to exercise in the same room as my family, or even putting it infront of the television. The bike is quiet when in use.I will continue to use this equipment as part of my cardiovascular training and lower body muscular training.

i have come to like the ultrasport brand recently, i have had plenty of others to compair these bikes to in the past. this particular one is great, its heavy but not overly so so i can move it by myself and it is battery operated so i can use it anywhere i want inside or out as i dont need to be close to a socket. this has no fixed programmes but i never use those anyway but does give a calory used estimate ,distance and speed ect, readout , the saddle on these is a good selling point not only is it the most comfortable one i have sat on but its also adjustable front and back as well as up and down , a real positive point for us taller or shorter people.the overall quality of these bikes is a feature that cannot be ignored ,they feel secure and sturdy and will last years in use, they are also quiet in use , good valuethe difference between this and the 700m is just the handle and design style so just really comes down to which stylle you like more.i personally love this in black and red (it matches my lounge)UPDATEtoday I had the error message E2, I telephoned ultrasport and have been offered a new bike as a sensor has gone insid the machine, the customer service was polite and efficient and very easy to deal with, very happy and very impressed, thank you ultrasport.

I bought this item a few months ago, and having racked up about 500km, I'm quite happy with my purchase. It took an hour or so to put together, the instructions were reasonably clear. The bike is quite sturdy and has one of the highest maximum weight limits that I've seen. It can be a little squeaky under heavy use, but it's not far off the solid feel of the high end bikes you find at the gym. It generates very little noise so it's suitable for use at night, which is something that I wanted. In manual mode, you can set a desired time, distance, or calorie count, and then one of 16 resistance settings. There are also a range of preset programs, with different hill profiles each of which last 2km,which are quite fun and keep boredom at bay.The bike does have a european plug, so you will need an adaptor for use in the UK, I picked one up for less than a pound. Furthermore, distances are measured in kilometres and I don't think you can change it, but that wasn't a big issue for me.Overall, I haven't got any complaints. I haven't owned a home exercise bike before, so I can't compare this to the alternatives, but in its own right it certainly does the job and does it well.

Ohhh i've had a few of these. Most end up as coat racks or washing lines in the corner of the living room. But in my wisdom i have got this one. Deciding now is the time to shed the pounds and get fit!.First off is it's easy to setup up, takes no time at all to construct and setup for a comfortable ride. The computer also takes no time to get setup for measuring BMI etc. It feels nice, solid and well built, i'm a big lad, 6'2 and 17 stone but it felt secure with me sat on it!.The bike itself has several modes with varying levels of intensity. Each designed to push you in different ways and mimic biking on inclines etc. This is a great feature which is often missing from cheaper models. So far after a few weeks work, the bmi measuring is still basically saying i'm obese but i'm actually having fun on it!

I waited for this to come back in stock and i am glad i did, no other bike comes close to this for value, as the previous comments it's easy enough to put together with only one tricky point the cover around the top under the computer. Once asembled it is very solid, (the seat pole does seems a bit loose but once you are sitting it's stable)The pulse sensors work well and it has a wide range of programs as well as some fitness extras like a body fat sensor, you can set user's up in the system and it remembers your settings and uses these for the BMI and Fat% calcualtions.I was a bit skeptical about getting an exercise bike and how it would stand up to real usage but it has so far proved to bea good practical exercise bike with a great spec for the money and a real alternative to going down the gym.

I finally wanted to improve my health and find a good work/life balance. Strong physical exercise was the obvious solution. I didn't want to spend large amounts of money on Health Clubs any more, and didn't really want to spend my evenings after work travelling to a gym. The technical features of this Racer 600 machine, such as the hand pulse sensors, the design, and also the price, convinced me that this was the solution. I have been working out on it for a little while now and I can really say that I got good value for money. The machine is easy to put together. The computer display is a good size and all the information is clearly presented. But one of the best things is that the saddle is so comfortable and the seating position can be customised to suit the individual.

1. Assembly - Instructions were pretty clear, took about 45 minutes to assemble.2. Seat - Comfortable and backwards/forwards adjustment very useful. My previous bike had only height adjustment.3. Build quality - Above average sturdiness and stability feel. Portable by average male (slides easily on carpet).4. Features - Has all necessary features especially pulse sensor in handlebars. Time distance and speed readouts large and clear.5. 'Gear' change - Very accessible and easy, distinctive clicks.6. Smoothness of ride - Acceptable, but not quite as much as heavy professional bikes with a drivebelt.

I have to say, to me this bike is not massively space saving. Compared to my previous bike it does take up more floor space so if that is a major consideration it may not be the ideal bike for you. That said, it is a good bike. It's well made and has all the features and functions that you would expect. It is comfortable to use and so convenient to be able to use it from home.It did require some basic assembly but this took max 30 mins by one person.I would recommend it overall

Ordered this bike as needed to exercise, and am too heavy for a lot of the lighter frames. Also wanted varying settings and route styles. Had to return the first bike due to a fault as the difficulty setting was stuck on the highest level, but was picked up and replaced quickly with the company direct. Have had the second one for over a year now and is sturdy and quiet. Have recommended it to friends.
