Excellent poseable model of Optimus Prime complete with shield and sword. It transforms into a large American style truck tractor unit and the transformation is amazing but very complicated. The box comes complete with a set of instruction on how to transform the robot into the truck - frankly I found them incomprehensible. The instructions are very small and dimmly printed onto a grey background. Also there is nothing really intuitive in the transformation so, just as with a Rubik Cube, don't just start fiddling or you will get into a real mess.Fortunately all is not lost! BEFORE you pass this onto your 8-year old (and I doubt many younger children will be able to manage the complex transformation moves)

This is the first Transformer toy I have reviewed and it was a good experience. Firstly, the figure is Optimus Prime. It is well detailed and comes with a sword and shield. As with all Transformer models, this does transform into the shape of a Lorry/Truck. To get it to transform is a tad difficult making this toy suitable for older children. As another reviewer stated, the instructions are very poor. I found them difficult to understand. I gave the Toy to a nephew who has a number of these figures and within 5 minutes he had managed to manipulate the figure into the truck. I guess it is intuitive if you have done them before. I could not put it together, but in the same way,

An action figure of the Transformer Autobot leader Optimus Prime. Based on the design of the character as seen in the most recent Transformers film 'The Last Knight.'Thus he comes with a sword and a shield. Both of which fit snugly into one of the figure's hands.It comes in a cardboard box, which opens easily at the side and which can be re-sealed. The figure is on a plastic tray inside, held in place with several tags which need to be snipped in order to get it out,It has lots of articulation, with the head, shoulders, elbows, waist, legs and knees all moveable.All this of course because he can be formed into the shape of a truck. Paper instructions in the back of the box show how to do this.

My son was one of the first generation Transformers fans in the 1980s, and the brand shows no signs of flagging. (If he’d kept his original Optimus Prime, boxed, it would now be worth a small fortune.)It’s fairly complicated and stiff to manipulate the figure to change it into the car (or vice versa), and the instructions aren’t much help. Younger children might be foxed by it – there are 30 steps to do the change.The paint finish is good quality. Incidentally, in the picture on the Amazon product page, the sword looks gold, but in fact it’s orange (which it should be for authenticity).The figure is smaller than I thought it would be, but this means it can fit easily on any shelf.

This voyager class Megatron is one of the best version of the character that I have ever seen.It is about 6inches tall and comes with a sword and a nonremovable fusion/flamethrower cannon.The figure can transform from robot mode to jet mode or vice versa.The detail is very accurate to The Last Knight and is very well design.The transformation is a bit more simple and quicker then other voyager class figures but younger kids might find it a bit more tricky to transform and is highly articulated.However I would of liked if the figure came with either a flamethrower effect or a fusion cannon missile just to help give a bit more of the effect of his weaponary as well as an inchangeble head or a

The first thing to note about this Optimus Prime Transformer is the sheer quality of the product. The intricate paint job and the detail put into this product actually made me worry that my kids would destroy some of the detail by rough playing but alas, these concerns were fruitless. The product itself is really nicely presented and the sword and shield slot nicely into the hands. It is a tiny bit fiddly for the young kids to transform into the lorry and back again but its a very minor concern in an otherwise excellent product. For the price, this is well worth picking up and you won't be disappointed with this Transformer product.

The detail on this model is very impressive. But 30 moves to transform to a truck... All I can say is, do not buy this for a child younger than 8, unless you constantly want to hear the words "Dad, can you help me?"These Last Knight models are something else though, they are unlike any Transformer models I have ever seen. Perhaps one for the collectors out there too. Really impressive detail, I gave this to a 10 year old friend of the family, and he though it was incredible. He was blown away in fact.So these are certainly a great present for any lover of the Transformers movies and cartoons.

My grandson brought this figure with his birthday money. He has been collecting transformers for over 10 years and says the detail on these latest figures are the best he has ever seen. He has a range of collectables and rates this latest Megatron as one of the best he has ever seen. He was very excited when it arrived and it more than met expectations. He is only 14 but has a range of collectable items - this is one is taking pride of place in his collection - he's a big megatron fan!

I used to love Transformers as a kid. My children seem to love everything about them, the toys, the cartoons, the films.These transformers are just as I remember them, good quality, well designed and a thoroughly good toy.The price in my opinion is not too expensive and I am happy to pay for a decent toy.For those who can remember the toys of old, you won’t go far wrong with this particular brand.

My two nephews really have enjoyed playing with this transformer toy. They are aged 4 & 7. They seem to have been through a phase of enjoying playing with characters and figurines, usually fighting with them unfortunately. However, this transformer seems to be a favourite in play. It is manufactured well and has so far withstood the fighting, the garden flying and the dog!

This is for my nearly 6 year old Transformers crazy son. At 6" tall it won't take up a lot of space and is a great addition to the Transformer franchise of toys. This Optimus Prime does require 30 steps to transform so a bit difficult for my son, however, his dad has a lot of fun helping. I think it is a bit overpriced for what it is though.

My husband is an absolubte twit andfor some bizarre reason thought he was ordering the film with this listing - we keep telling him that he really needs to go to specsavers.... Son was very happy when this turned up though. Great quality item which has had lots of play with since received and has remained in as new condition

My grandson got this figure for his birthday. He collects transformers and says the detail on these figures is the best there has been so far. Although only 14 he has been collecting them for 10 years and this latest set of figures takes pride of place in his collection. Well worth getting even for the older collectors.

Very nice toy but at begining a bit hard to transform it from robot to jet.Not as big as I thought, but great for Transformers fans, not to sure about the age as I bought it for my 6yr old nephew. He was really happy with it despite problems with the transformation ;)

This is a great transformer toy and my son has had some fantastic adventures with Optimus, the detail is great, the transformed car works well and the toy is robust my only criticism is that the transformation is a little complex.
