Love this pad. Well worth the money spent. The first one I ordered would slowly leak out some air during the night but didn't totally go flat. I contacted Amazon and returned it with no hassle and they promptly sent a new one which is awesome. I am a side sleeper most of the time but can sleep in most any position. This makes it hard to find a good pad that will work with my size. I am 6' 2" tall and weight approx. 250 lbs so no pad is going to be perfect but this one is close. I ordered the large and it fits fine. Have yet to use this in my hammock but have already ground slept with it approx. 12 times. I would recommend using something under it to protect from puncture. The best way to sleep comfortably on this is to use an old blanket below it maybe doubled over and your sleep system on top. If you need more padding then double over a blanket and lay on top of the pad before you sleep on it. The surface of the pad is not slick so it doesn't seem to shift when you sleep. It does self inflate a little but requires a few puffs of breath to finish the job for me anyway. I like the pad a little more firm. Follow the instructions and open the valve to the pad, unroll it and lay it out for awhile. It will self inflate over time. Don't expect it to inflate all at one right before your eyes. I unroll mine at least a half hour before use. I do like the fact this pad is foam filled and has cell pockets of air. Very lightweight and not very big when compacted. Easy to pack with. This should work great in my hammock with my MSS sleep system. Well worth the investment!

Very good quality sleeping pad for the price. I am 6'3'' and 225 pounds. The Large was a good fit for me. No deflation issues once fully inflated and comfortable. From my research this sleeping pad found a very good middle ground between price and usability. By that I mean the pad was small enough/light enough for me to pack on shorter backpacking trips, while not sacrificing comfort for the price. I have only slept on the pad during a few camping trips, so I cannot speak on durability. Its seems like a quality product though.

This was brought as my last matures for camping gave out after 15 years (from Mountain Equipment). It's very compact and lightweight. I've given it 4 stars as it doesn't fully self inflate, you do need to give it some help by blowing into it. Also, I do think ithis type of equipment is all overpriced but that's the way it is when buying named brand stuffSleeping on it was warm and comfortable. It was spacious enough for me (a 6'1 broad man!).

I'm too old to sleep on the ground but this product make backpacking possible. It is exactly as described. Already tested on an overnight and I'm happy with it. On my back nothing touches the ground. On my side my hip just barely contacts the ground through this pad. Follow the directions closely to compress this pad and it's a breeze to pack. Not so if you skip a step. :-) All this and it only weighs a pound.

Great on soft-ish ground. I also like it in my hammock tent: it adds a little more form to your hang, and provides a little insulation for your butt when its a little chilly, but not so chilly you want to zip a second bag on the outside of your hammock. Not the best for "indoor camping" on hardwood, linoleum or tile floors, a little to thin for that.

Good pad --- 4/5 because though it self inflates it really does require several additional breaths to fill well-- kept warm, slept well ---- super small size and light --- nice sack comes with it--- great for backpacking

Great sleeping mat. I've used it 3 times since buying it, on sand, rock soil and concrete. I love it. I didn't give it five stars because the carrying bag could be much tighter, keeping the rolled up mat smaller.

Exactly what I expected! This mattress is great, easily packable, and I slept so well for the several days I was camping. I got it based on the recommendation from two friends and am happy I did!

im 5’9 and 240 pounds. I used this sleeping pad for five days camping along the coast. I was easy to set up break down and light weight. Great for backpacking or just camping.

Exactly what i expected. Good quality and good product. Make sure to take it out of packaging prior to using to allow it to inflate properly as it does take a few minutes.

I've gone through a couple of the older models of this. They tend to bubble and the fabric inside comes apart. Hopefully this new model lasts longer.

I had my last therm-a-rest for about 12 yrs, these things I rock solid and hard to break...unless your dog gets a hold of it .. hence the new one !

Worked better than expected, even when on my side my hips & shoulders never bottomed out. Packed small & light. Fit in my motorcycles saddlebags.
