.Laura Cakebread is the eldest daughter of the toy poodle family … but there may be a small problem with her “family” connections which I will get to later.She is wearing a gorgeous layered dress. The main dress is a white satin-type material with the skirt having 2 layers of sheer pink satin fabric over the base of thicker white satin. The white satin continues to the bodice with short sleeves of the beautiful sheer pink satin. The shoulder straps are a deeper dusky pink. Bodice and skirt are a one-piece dress, the equator of which is marked by an attached brown belt with golden decoration.I love this dress!Laura has accessorised with a beautiful golden handbag with a clear gem clasp.She is a little smaller than her parents but much more of a grown up than her little sister,Melinda, and younger brother, Eric.This young lady is aiming to be a renown chocolatier having got her start making chocolate decorations for use in her mum’s (Veronica’s) award winning cake shop. Veronica is a renowned pastry chef, her “heavenly milk and white chocolate cake with strawberry and cream filling and freeze-dried strawberries in a chocolate shell” is … well, heavenly. Obviously, there is a big family reputation to live up to.Laura is, like the rest of her family, a beautiful orangey-brown colour with, and this could be a problem, dark brown lower half ears.Both mum and dad along with all her many siblings have ears which are fully the same colour as their bodies. Laura does not. The colour of her lower ears is very similar to the colour of the brown Labrador family. Of course, it could just be a genetic throw back or maybe Laura thinks that a touch of colour will get her further in the big town, but it does tend to raise some questions.Of course, it is more likely to be because the Toy Poodle and Yellow Labrador families are very similar. The Toy Poodles being a shade or two darker than the light coloured Yellow Labrador. So, having dark brown (half) ears is one way of ensuring that they are ready for the both patents and children to tell them apart regardless of their similarities.Laura is a lovely young lady and, regardless of her coloured ears, and I admit that I love the two-tome ears, she fits right into the family and the ever growing Sylvanian menagerie.

My Daughter loves Sylvanian Families and has quite a few of their playsets and families already and she loves the new Town series with the posh dresses and accessories.Laura the Toy Poodle older Sister stands at approx 7.5cm tall. Laura comes with a little story booklet that advises that she is a chocolatier in the town.As with the other Sylvanian's, she can be put into a sitting position so she can sit down and her legs, arms and head are movable. Laura's dress can also be removed if wished and perhaps swapped with another Sylvanian characters clothes if your child has others. Laura has a dress on which has a velcro closure at the back and is a lovely pink with layering on the skirt.Her little gold bag is made from one single piece of softish plastic and the handle can be slipped over her arm.As with other Sylvanian's she has lovely soft fur material on her to feel like fur and even has a little fluffy tail. My Daughter absolutely adores her and the little story that comes included with her too.

This is a lovely addition to the Poodly Family and, as always, the attention to detail is beautiful. Just like all the Sylvanian animals, this comes individually boxed with its little accessories included.Our two girls love all the animals but think that this Laura Poodle is a particularly cute little dog. The fur is soft and a lovely caramelly colour with a very sweet face, and this Laura poodle has darker dipped ears than the other family members which are all caramel brown. Her pink dress is pretty with a nice gold design and has a gold handbag detailed with a diamond. A lovely addition to the Sylvanian Friends.

Our granddaughter loves Sylvanian families, and when we gave her the "Laura"Toy Poodle Town Girl, she was immediately incorporated with the other SF's she has.Pretty little toy girl, made of good quality materials and comes dressed in a pretty pink outfit. There's a booklet explaining about Laura, but our granddaughter isn't particularly interested in this part, she just loves to play dollies.Laura can move her arms and bend her legs, enabling her to sit down. Ideal for the Sylvanian tea-parties held at our granddaughters.Very nice little model.

This is a single figure, but with a beautiful, detailed dress and a fancy handbag - making it good value in my view - much as we love the entire family sets, when you already have your family / families, it is nice to be able to add new folk, without necessarily needing space for a whole new family! In our house, everyone has to have somewhere to sleep!Quality is really nice and the kids just love the extra accessories - which you can exchange if you have a handbag shop! Fun. We love the poodle.

Lovely toy poodle Syvanian Families character with a gold handbag accessory. This little girl will be a lovely addition to an existing collection of Syvanian animals and town buildings.She is made with great attention to detail and lovely fabric clothes, and to the same high standard as you’d expect from Sylvanian Families.As she’s a single character, she’d also be perfect for giving as a gift to a child who collects Sylvanians.5 stars

A higher class of Sylvanian society. She did seem pretty impressed with it. Other than the externals, it seems the same as other figures in the range.)

A marvellous, high quality toy of a small dog, dressed with a handbag. As usual, very high quality. The joints are all movable, including the head.Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Quality, not quantity - to be treasured forever.
