I fitted this SRAM PG 970 chain to my road bike, with a SRAM 11-32 9 spd rear block and Shimano Sora medium cage derailleur, and an FSA compact chainset (with 10spd chainrings) up front. Everything works as it should, with smooth, positive shifting and a good usable range of gears for the mountains I ride here in Wales. I have fitted this model of chain to a range of my bikes and have always been very happy with its performance. I particularly like the fact that it is highly resistant to corrosion so I can get away with doing minimal maintenance and I find that even after the wettest of rides, there is no rust or tightness the next day.Excellent quality and highly recommended as a reliable and affordable chain for your rig.

I purchased this for my Santa Cruz Heckler as a replacement from 2004. I have put around 300 miles on it and have clean, crisp indexing throughout gear changes. I have Sram X-9 paddle shifters and an X0 derailleur paired with a PC 971 chain. For the money you cannot beat it, for the weight I can stand to loose a few pounds before I spend more on ounces!!The reason for 4 stars-this did not come complete, the lock ring that attaches to the hub was not in the package. This caused a delay in a trip, fortunately a local bike shop had the identical cassette. Amazons return policy worked as fluid as expected.

Nice product. Straight replacement for a 32-11 cassette which had been on the bike since new (12 years ago).Only comment is that it's a bit noisy going on to the 34t ring because the derailleur is a bit tight. Otherwise it works great and is a tenth of the price it was years ago. This is a cheap and effective replacement / upgrade to an older but still capable bike.My old PG970 cassette was still doing the job but I wanted an extra low gear so I could stay on the middle ring for longer. It delivered on the first ride and it's running sweet.

I purchased this to help going up mountains in Wales and Scotland on my Kona Rove. The bike came with road gearing which is useless on mountain climbs, especially when loaded up. The extra teeth have made steep stuff easier and it'll do the job until I go 1x with a 42 cassette. The cassette works flawlessly with kmc and shimano stuff and came with the lockring attached to the back of the plastic packing holder.

The part arrived about two days after placing the order. I believe it was shipped from California to NY, where I live. With the right tools and a smidgen of mechanical know how, the old unit was removed and the new one installed within 15 minutes. After about 500 miles, the unit is performing as expected. I don't anticipate I will need to replace it before another 12 thousand miles.

Cheap replacement for a 1999 XT cassette I had. It's noticeably heavier, but shifting is just fine. Unfortunately I cannot shift to the top gear because my derailleur doesn't fit a 34T - which is my fault for not knowing more about the compatibility. Everything works crisply up to the eighth gear though. I cannot vouch for the life of this thing.

This replaced my OEM worn out cassette on my Gary Fisher Paragon. I had no problems with installation or use. Actually after I replaced the cassette, I found out I also needed the deraleur pulleys, new chain, and the front chain ring. If you have put on many miles you probably should do a complete drive chain rebuild.

I purchased this to replace the factory cassette on my Canondale Cyclocross bike. It was extremely easy to install, and so far after more than 700 miles has worked flawlessly. The chain rides on it smoothly, shifting is clean and easy, and as silly as it sounds, it looks sharp on my bike with the red accents.

After minor adjustments to the shifters, this cassette is working good. Have had no problems with them so far. It was a good price compared to what they wanted in the stores for the same item, about half the price. I will definitely look this away again when in need for bicycle parts.

Inexpensive, reasonable quality, gets the job done. Usually I ride a compact double road bike and picked up an inexpensive triple to make my life easier. Wanted to make it a lot easier so I ordered this cassette. Haven't used it much but also haven't noted any problems when I do.

Easy to install. I have shimano drive train and the SRAM cassette and chain work flawlessly with the shimano parts. A little less expensive is why I tried it. It is easy to glance at cassette to see the dirt and grime build- up for cleaning or replacement.

Solid reliable 9 speed cassette. I’ve had several of these as I tend to run the same kit across all the family’s bikes. They last well and shift reliably, particularly if you do not let the chain get too worn. Normally last through 3 chain changes.

I love the range of this cassette for my commuting and touring. I haven't had any problems with slippage or broken teeth or anything. It's solid. My one gripe is that it seems to get dirty really fast. Maybe because of the holes?

Having recently replaced Shimano, Campy and SRAM cassettes, these were the neatest. Don't seem to have any spacers and the cassette held together as a unit during fitting. Good quality and seems quite lightweight too.

Works great on my Alivio group 29'er but not nearly as nice build wise as the deore cassette for the same price. I don't care for the loose cog rings - I prefer the Shimano style packs.
