Speedo Women's Fit Laneback Swimsuit, Black/Purple - 36/14Speedo make the best swimming costumes for sport. I have always worn Speedo costumes because their cut fits me and I know their sizes, but also because the fabric, stitching and finish are top quality - and they last for ages, no matter how often you swim in them. I have had favourite swimsuits I've clung onto and kept using for many years. My current favourite is a size 34/12 and I am definitely no longer that size, and each time I put it on I worry it will burst at the seams - but no, it's still going strong despite my increased weight! I ordered this for my wife who is a keen swimmer. She is normally a 12 but this fitted well so if in doubt order the next size up. She is 5 foot 4 inches tall and had no trouble with the straps which have been reported elsewhere so this may be down to body shape.The costume is well designed for the serious swimmer with medium height legs, a crossover strap with cutout and a lined bust area. She prefers Endurance costumes as they are quick to dry, resistant to chlorine and long lasting with this one looking to be well made with an attractive style.Overall this is an ideal custume for her at a reasonable price.

It’s everything you would expect from a Speedo swimsuit – snug fit to the body giving a streamlined profile in the water, long enough that it doesn’t pull, solid quality material. It’s a bit hard to wriggle into – but then lane-back swimsuits always are (I see another reviewer recommends buying a size larger than you would normally take – maybe that’s where I went wrong – but on the other hand I wouldn’t want it to be loose enough to “catch” water).I particularly love the elegant and understated design of silver panels on black, which narrow in to flatter the figure

I have a lot of swimming costumes and as a regular swimmer I get through them more quickly than most. Have you ever got into your swimming costume the pool and then realised that it's semi-indecent ? Chlorine can damage swimsuits so that they become see through so regular swimmers in pool really need chlorine resistant suits.This is is chlorine resistant but the fabric still feels good - sometimes the chlorine resistant ones feel very hard. The cur of the swimming costume is good for swimming and it's comfortable. I also like the sporty design of the suit itself.

Comfortable swimsuit and I think it's about the first time I've been to the pool without feeling self-conscious.If you carry weight around your middle, like , it's good: it supports your tummy and waist well. The racer back is quite open though and made me realise I have some 'back fat' to also shift! It's fine in the water though and felt well covered when swimming. I'm about a size 12/14 and bought a 14 and it was fine.I felt supported and cossy didn't move an inch even when doing an energetic 'AquaFit' Class. The extra panel also helped when doing this class.

Bought "Black/Psycho Red/Oxide Grey", which looked more like rosy red flashes in the photos but turned out to be day glow orange, which was a shame but what you get with internet shopping. Other than that the laneback is pretty similar to the muscleback that I usually go for and feels as comfy and supportive as expected. I only buy Speedo swim suits after having had a few disappointments with other brands, usually get a year or two of twice weekly use. I'm a UK size 8 but always go for size 10 (32) in Speedo, always fits a treat.

The 'Speedo Women's Fit Laneback Swimsuit, Black/Purple, 40/3XL' is an attractive and great quality swimming costume, made from durable and comfortable material. It is predominantly black, with purple parts, and a racer-type back. There is light internal support for the bust, which also provides a degree of modesty when the suit is wet. The body is fairly long, so should fit a variety of heights. It is keeping its shape well with regular washing and rinsing, and the material isn't showing any signs of thinning.Great swimsuit.

If you are a keen swimmer, it is important to have a good fitting, and reliable swimsuit to support you - no point to the low cut, and 'revealing' numbers that can reveal a little too much.This swimsuit is perfect - well fitting, nice design, and comfortable and supportive. I like the cut - high without being too high on the leg.Make sure you rinse and spin after using to prolong the life of the swimsuit - too much chlorine residue can deteriorate the fabric quickly.Recommended.

It looks as described . Would normally get a size 16 (38) but got a larger size as my current speedo swimsuit was uncomfortable when doing breaststroke. The larger size helped a bit but position of strap still not quit right. Bottom of swimsuit tends to ride up a bit when swimming although theres plenty ,if not too much room around hips.

The quality is great as you would expect from Speedo. Nice colour and design. Be careful with the size though. I’m a size 14 uk and ordered a 16 to have a bit of “give”and it was far too small. The “16” felt like a small 12... luckily my daughter fits in it so she’ll be having it instead and I’ll order a much bigger one for myself.

My wife usually has to go one size bigger than normal because he has a longer body ... so this 36/XL is a very good fit on her.A very nice cut and comfortable to wear, and the Light Bust Support got a thumbs up for both comfort and modesty.The design/graphics are very slimming. Will get used a lot.

I swim 5 times a week and before I bought a speedo costume I was having to buy 4 or 5 a year as they loose their elastic. I will only buy Speedo now as one lasts me about 8 months. They fit perfectly, don't move as your swimming no adjusting yourself as you get out. Comfortable too.

Speedo products I would always recommend to anyone I have always bought that make.I ended up with a different swimming costume to what I ordered.But is still fine.I returned my other swimming costume and am waiting for a refund on the postage as well for sending it back lorelii one.

Great swimsuit but only lasts about 8 months (70 swims) in chlorinated pool. BEWARE Size has changed since I last bought: 14/36 is now the size of previous 12/34. Once you get the right size it's very comfortable and looks good.

Great swimming costume and v comfortable. Good sizing and well structured across bust so nice and secure there!Racer back in contrasting colour is a nice touch. I’ve since bought one in a different colour.
