A really good, sturdy tent with acres of room and Uk weather proof. It is a bit heavy to carry, bit manageable if you aren’t overloaded and reasonably fit . To assemeble it’s like most tents, a bit tricky but if you are used to tents you will be able to manage fine . Took a bit of time to build up but once it was , it was really sturdy and withstood a lot of rain, wind and out lovely summer weather !The best thing it has going for it is the space. It has nice separate areas, my model had the ground sheet and felt very spacious and we all loved it . Even when the weather was hammering down I felt snug , secure and having the larger tent meant that it wasn’t to claustrophobic .We managed to play games and my niece even liked running from one bit to the next . Even hasa nice space for indoor portable loo !Overall I’m very pleased with Iran dit is ideal for festivals, that’s where I have used it and for families . There was 4 of staying very comfortably in it . I think it’s a great price, reasonable again to dissemble and a great buy . I’m not a natural camper so anything that contains me a, must be good !

First things first: get the tent with the sewn-in groundsheet - this keeps the wind and bugs out. If you want a retro experience of what it was like camping 30 years ago, then by all means try the version without a sewn-in groundsheet - but you will regret it I can assure you! This Skandika tent is clearly designed for a family on a budget, or as a large festival tent. I think it is very good value and another big plus is that it packs down very small for quite a large tent.Tents are always a pain to set up, and this one is no different but no worse than any other. My top tip is to open the doors and waft the tent to get air into it before threading the poles through - it makes it lot easier and reduces the risk of the poles breaking during setup. When up,the tent is fairly spacious with a decent living area and a handy canopy entrance. It doesn't feel like it will last forever and the quality is not up to an Outwell or Berghaus, but it is perfectly good and offers all the essentials at a low price, mesh doors being the key one.

Just returned from what has been a very wet download festival, and to be honest the tent stood up very well considering the budget price I paid for it.Me and my son managaed to get the tent up and pegged down in about 15/20 minutes. Basically 4 poles and its up. The inner sleeping compartmnets are also relatively easy to put up, the only small problem I had was one of the rubber togs broke when doing this. The zips on the outer doors can be a bit fiddly and tend to catch the tent lining when trying to get in and out of the tent which is my only gripe really. The tent stood up well to the heavy rain over the course of the five days and remained dry inside. There is plenty of room in the middle section for a few chairs and even a small table, also plenty of room to stand.More than happy with the tent, it has taken a hammering over the last week, but still kept us dry.
