I just got back from shell island on the Welsh coast having used this tent for the first time, an upgrade from my solo dome since it grants me the ability of companionship in the future, yippee. It is great for me as a single young male who enjoys his space. The 5000mm water column stood the test and no water entered the tent, it is really good quality, like a helly hansen jacket material, no water breaks the shell barrier. It has windows which cover the living area side each with multiple velcro attachments for those with a need for privacy.Next of concern to most with children (not me but others) is WIND. I have slept in this tent in 35 mph winds and it stood up correctly,no problem what so ever and NO FLAPPING once the numerous bumblebee colour-coded guy lines are secured into the ground. The poles are STEEL (not in the description) with a very flexible and tough (like fishing wire) wire which runs inside theses steel poles from one end of the steel pole attachments to the end. Each steel pole side (top) is attached by a tough carbon fiber flexible pole which is feed across the roof. No problem what so ever once the bumblebee colored guy lines are properly secured and pulled to make the outer tent tight. No no worry about pulling the guy lines tight, the material is built to be abused in the wind. When it is tight, the wind will NOT push on the tent. If the material pushes in the gaps of the steel poles, it is because your guy lines are not tight as they should be. Use the LENGTH (distance from tent wall) to make them tight and peg them into the soil using a mallet (not your hands). These guy lines pull the tent out, make sure you follow the design principle.Enough room in the living area to:1. Stand up right2. Cook3. Fit in a table with laptopTent has a cable input via right side storm door (when looking at the tent from the front). It has a vent area which you can prop up with a sniff Velcro attachment leg behind bedroom pod attachment to let hot body heat escape during the night so you wake up to a dry tent given that its breathable. Do not forget to open this vent, it is there for a reason, the 5000mm water column does not let water in.... needless to say, it does not let water OUT as it is waterproof as it was engineered to be. The vent is there to let condensation escape which is normal. The vent btw has a bug sheet to stop insects coming in via the night so rest assured, no beetles running across your open mouth haha.I offer a few tips so others avoid my mistakes which is on my behalf and no fault of the tent design.1. Make sure you property pull out the groundsheet, I had mine set up that air pockets were forming under the floor because I had NOT correctly pulled out all corners. It is large, two people recommended to set it up and make sure your guy lines are tight. I'm the type who was "worried" that they would be two tight, tightness is good, it is designed to be pulled on.2. Make sure you open the vent area behind the bedroom compartments, you can do this from outside the tent thus you need not circumvent the small gap between the fly sheet and the attached bedroom pods.Other...The company which designed this tent is German and most of this brand are sold to countries in Scandinavia. The quality of this tent is outstanding for what you pay. You will not be disappointed. I took a chance on this over a Coleman deluxe and glad I took the chance, it panned out well. Tent etc fit back into the original bag, no problems. Some pictures attached. It gets 4 (4.5) stars out of 5 simple because the tent is very warm and I like coolness. This is just me as I would have liked more vents in the tent. I burn in the sun where others could simply step out of the tent. It can be very warm, too warm for me when cooking.

We've used our tent twice so far, including in rain and sunshine.Quality: I was surprised by the high quality feel of this tent. I haven't purchased a tent in 10+ years. The quality of material of this tent beats my older tents (better known brands) by a big margin. The only issue? There's a bit of sketchy stitching around the side porch.Size: We use this as a 2 person tent, with lots of space to enjoy if it rains. It's just the right size. Not so big that you feel like you're taking over a campsite. Big enough that you can sit up at a table, and don't feel squashed. The bedroom is perfect for 2 people. You can pull down a divider to make it into two bedrooms, ostensibly for four people. Then, each bedroom would only just be big enough for a double mattress. No room for clothes or bags.Putting up: Getting this tent up takes 20-30 minutes with two people. It would be tricky and time consuming to put it up with one person, but it would be possible.Instructions: These aren't perfect. They refer to parts which don't exist ("Elbows", whatever they are!). But they were enough to help us work out what we needed to do, and we'd never put up this style of tent before.Pack away: I'm an experienced camper, used to squashing things down into small packages. So far we've packed this tent away three times. The tent has always fit back into its original bag, but without the poles.Privacy: The curtains you can put up in the windows are a good feature.Sewn-in groundsheet: This means my wife doesn't get cold from breezes blowing through the tent, and our little dog can't escape! So far, highly recommended.

I've been camping for 20 years and have used tents from all of the usual big brands, so I was a little nervous about trying a tent from a brand I didn't know well, and the prices seemed so low in comparison to similar tents on the market, that I really wasn't expecting much.I need not have worried however. The quality of the tent is excellent, it was quick and easy to put up despite its size and inside it has a light and airy living space, with a big bedroom that you can divide into two if you wish. There are 3 door options and big windows too making the space flexible. For a tent of this size and quality, with a sewn in ground sheet and super high levels of waterproofing,I think this is a brilliant tent.Small gripes would be that the ground sheet billows up on very windy days in areas where there is no furniture, so a tent carpet (you'll need to look at dimensions and source one from a different brand as I can't find a Skandika one anywhere), the weight of the carpet would stop the ground sheet inflating in high wind. We've used it in very windy conditions, camping on the coast, and the rigid poles are fantastic, but a few more guy ropes would have made me even happier, however, for the price, this is an excellent family tent.

Really pleased with this tent, especially for the price we paid on Prime Day. The tent is easy to pitch - although it takes some work to pitch it right. It can be pitched and packed up by one person. We have pitched it several times already after taking it on holiday to France. The only problem we had was a little water coming in during a heavy storm but this was because the guy ropes weren't taut enough and the roof was sagging. When I pulled everything tight it was fine. It fits into a large bag which is a bit of a struggle but definitely achievable.Space-wise, there is a good living area and a bedroom area that can be divided if required - although this would be suitable for a family rather than two couples. We had two double airbeds side by side with the kids next to us. There are poles that can create a small awning from the open doors - you can cook in the rain using this but not much else.I was strolling around an outdoor shop looking at similar tents and they were all much more expensive. If you can bag this in the sale it's a steal and will serve casual family campers (who aren't too fussed about luxury) well.

Being a single parent I was very dubious about buying such a big tent for fear of not being able to get it up by myself .. I have a 3yr old a 20yr with severe learning disabilities so help isn't an option.Very straight forward getting it sorted and for one person extremely easy to put up. Once all poles are in place start at the front door of the tent and make sure you have your tent pegs close to hand in a pocket .. Pull the front up and forward n secure it roughly by the guy ropes in the centre by the door then move along the tent pulling up the sections as you go and finally round to the back of the tent, again secure roughly with the guy ropes and your done tent is up then it's just a case of straightening out the base n pegging down and securing properly ?Took me a total of 30mins to have it ready which I think for one person isn't bad at all.Very spacious and airy inside.Gets a huge thumbs up ? from me and I hope this review helps out other single parents looking for a good size tent to take the kids away.Read full review...

Got this bag nice and new. I have not actually put it up yet but just wanted to mention that it is HEAVY and it comes with a bag that has not got wheels on it. This bad boy is 26kg ins weight so if you are going to a festival get something smaller because this one will give you major back problems. Put it on a suitcase or something before trying to drag it around.I love the look of this tent, the shape and colour, I just had to have it. Though I wont be climbing mountains with this small house.. ehem sorry I meant tent. This would be perfect for a family with a car. It has a very large living/eating area with two bedroom areas that can fit 6 people in total.Seriously you could have one hell of a hoolie in this thing and I plan on doing just that at some stage.I just need to find a car lol.

this tent was excellent value for money, when it arrived we put it up to test it, weve only been camping once but as novices managed to erect this tent quite quickly! It has loads of space inside and is very light with all the windows. Instructions were not quite specific to this particular model but we got by. Two minor downsides-- the colour is not orange as advertised, the label on tent said mustard/brown but its more yellow and consequently attracted attention from insects! Maybe the green version would have been better choice?! Secondly the poles that hold the door flaps up- you only get one set so cant have the 2 flaps up together if wanted, so we are going to buy a spare set so we have that option, other than that we are well pleased and cant wait to go on our fist camp in it

A spacious waterproof tent. Use your common sense when erecting the tent do not rely upon instruction. We managed to erect it with people watching not the easiest of things to do. Fabulously spacious a good height would need to be a giant to reach the ceiling. good light. spacious sleeping area. I am very pleased with this tent. First night we slept in it we had a very heavy thunder storm. Not one leak was so amazed. Would suit a family of 4/5 but it may be cramped in sleeping area, not in living area plenty of room. In build ground sheet. A great buy. Down side if you are taking it down wet, it its rather large we struggled to pack it away as we tried to do it in our front room was too large to lay out had to wait for a good day,to use local park.

I love this tent, it's very roomy, I think four in the sleeping pods might be a bit of a squeeze, I've just used it once to go on guide camp. The weather was atrocious on some of the day's, absolute torrential down pours but my tent stood up to the test. It dried out very quickly and I didn't notice any dampness to clothes or bedding. The only reason I haven't given it five stars is that the ground sheet has three holes in it, there were no stones on the ground I pitched on, the ground sheet feels quite thin when compared to other tents. So a little disappointed but still love the tent and would recommend it.

We used this tent for a holiday with our 2 children. A 2 year old and a 16 week old. This tent was fantastic. The huge living space is perfect for a family camping trip. The windows all around the living area are brilliant for panoramic views, with curtains to roll up and down. It is EXTREMELY weather durable! We had torrential downpours and also gale force winds. The tent withstood both without a drop of water or any damage in sight. It was very easy to put and take down, 30 minutes to put up and 20 minutes to take down. The bag is also very spacious making it easy to put back in.

Recent purchase and used once to date - for a long weekend in Wales. Weather mixed - heavy rain in the night and at times in the day - tent proved to be watertight. Hot sunshine at times in the day, and the three door openings were really good as they kept the air coming through so we didn't fry (as we had in a previous tent!). Spacious living area, and easy to keep an eye on the children playing outside with all the windows. Windows also make it possible to sit and read in the daytime inside without straining your eyes. Perfect for us. Seems to be a brilliant tent!

I would not have been able to erect this tent is I had not been an experienced camper. Instructions were not only extremely sparse but also misleading and downright incorrect. On the positive side - the tent is quite well made and is indeed quite spacious and should be considered a good competitor against the better known makes. A simple instruction sheet would make this tent usable by someone new to camping and would cost almost nothing. The tent was delivered much quicker than originally advised. Time will tell how it stands up to strong winds and weathering,

A great spacious tent which is very quick and easy to put together and just as quick to take down. Large carry bag to accommodate if you’re packing isn’t as tight as when removed. Great quality and strong materials. Due to partition in bedroom pod ideal for camping with little ones as can be rolled up to make one large area and dropped when needing two more private sleeping areas. Helpful small porch over one side door which enables you to exit an enter in wet weather without soaking the doorway.

5.9.2016

The instructions are a bit vague so had to watch some You Tube videos for similar tents before we pitched it. As a 6 person it is a bit of a squeeze in the bedrooms, but otherwise it is a good size tent, the living area is a large, light area so on bad days there is plenty of room. We have just come back from an overnight stay in this tent where we experienced force 5 winds with higher gusts and heavy rain, the tent was not affected in anyway. Really pleased with it and highly recommend it.

Amazing value for money, plenty of space stayed water tight during holidays. would buy again if anything happened to this one. Only critisism I have is the first time we tried to put tent up it seemed very heavy? found out that inner bedroom area was already clipped into position at the factory making first time out very hard work. Needless to say we now know to leave bottom connected but unclip top and its easily managable for a couple in their 60's .
