I have a pair of Shimano RP3 SPD-SL Road Shoes which I use for spin class. Great shoes, but the front of the shoe is smooth, so with the SPD cleats, they're very hard to walk in, and sometimes a little wobbly on the bike. These adapters made them much more stable to walk in (although I still wouldn't walk far in them!), and even reduced the wobble on the bike.

Essential if using SPD mtb cleat to provide stable walking and protect cleat. A little expensive but should wear well. Allows adaptability of using shoes which are designed for use with either 3 bolt road cleats (SPD SL, Look etc and SPD mtb type) Easy to fit and comes with longer screws .

Useful to make road shoes more walkable with mtb cleats. However some of the rubber strips have come off eventually on mine. The longer-than-standard bolts are very hard to replace if you lose one!

I find I lock in much easier as they help as a guide and now walking around does not damage the cleats as is no longer the dangerous slippery experience I had before, brilliant idea!

Big bit of plastic for seventeen quid seems expensive but it converted a road shoe to a mtb fitting that I needed for spinning

Product was a replacement. Happily it arrived several days before scheduled. Looking forward for several years of use.

If you're using normal road shoe these are a must. They truly help with aligning the cleats on to your pedals.

The rubber buffer has come off the part of the protector that I walk on!!

Very practical. The material is a bit too soft and therefore vulnerable.
