I bought these for my indoor 'spin' bike which came with dual flat/spd pedals, which have a retail price of over £80.I found these quite heavy and even with Shimano SH51 cleats there was still quite a lot of lateral movement which caused fatigue and discomfort.These pedals are around a third of the price, but you can immediately tell the difference in quality which is significantly higher.Being double-sided makes it much easier to clip in and out and for now I'm sticking with the SH51 rather than the supplied SH56 as they allow for pedal lift without clipping out.I had been concerned about these being described as 'light use only'

These are great pedals, and a great price on amazon. Out of the box they are a little loose, which is ideal if you are new to using cleats, but can be easily tightened as you gain more confidence. Easy to fit ( they are pedals! ) and are double sided which makes them so much easier to use than the single sided versions, and also well made as are most Shimano products. Really can’t see why you’d buy the more expensive shimano range when these are so good, just to save a few grammes!

These pedals have a great range of tension for unclipping. The added surface feels better in my opinion to the more minimal SPD pedals. It's great to see SPD pedals now being designed for road bikes. Unfortunately they do scratch quite easily, but given the force exerted when clipping in that is to be expected. Easy to clean, look great and in difficult situations it is possible to ride without clipping in.

Pedals work really well. I had a single sided spd model before which could be a bit faffy getting into them but I wanted something big enough to use without being clipped in.These are the perfect compromise having the clips on both sides is much better plus the pedal is big enough to use without being clipped in if there is a tricky take off

Hi there, brought this shimano a few weeks ago and so far I didn't have any problems. Easy to install on the bike and on the shoes. The cleats are used on Muddyfox shoes and there was no problems fitting. Overall good product for the money. Online is cheaper then the shop. Very pleased.Thank you

Pair of pedals ideal to start, easy to install, fastening system on each side of the pedal, which allows not to waste time to snap the shoe. The hangers are supplied with. My only regret is that Shimano does not provide a screw in addition in case of loss, it would be a real plus!

Click mechanism works fine. The only criticism: the right pedal squeaks a little when I put pressure on it. I assume the camp is squeaking. Otherwise there is nothing to complain about. Top price / performance

Well made SPD pedals! They are easy to use and comfortable also with normal shoes due to the extensions at both ends. Very satisfied!

Much easier to use than the single sided ones I bought initially but you can't really use these with normal shoes.

These are good pedals for my gravel bike using SPD clip ins.Would like them a bit lighter but v sturdy build.

Use for a gravel bike, does the job. Use without clip possible, but not recommended.
