The Shimano Deore 10 speed chain was bought as a direct replacement. It is a mid/upper range chain, for a MTB and has good wear/dirt shedding properties. At the time it was about twice the price in my LBS. One downside, is that there was only one connection pin in the packet - most Shimano chains I've bought previously have had two, so no room for error when fitting and spare pins are a ridiculous price. This chain is 'handed', so it is important to fit it the correct way round.

I was dubious about buying this as it says that it is specifically for a certain type of mountain bike cassette, but it seems very happy on my standard 10 speed road set up and is a super smooth changer with my Shimano 105 road groupset. Fitting instructions came in German only so you will need to Google which way round to fit the chain ( unless you can read German of course) as it only works properly in one direction...

Purchased this as I snapped the original one on my bike but totally my fault so decided to order like for like, arrived quickly and was a doodle to fit no problems with the pin at all, been out on the my bike several times now and all good, recommended

I'd bought a second hand mountain bike a decided to use the Shimano chain because the crank and cassette were Shimano. I'm so glad that I did go with Shimano and not the cheaper options. The gear changes are beautiful and smooth...

I can not believe the original chains of Shimano! And at fahrrad.de I get the for an acceptable price! But you have to order the right tool, if you do not have it yet. It must be riveted!

Standard shimano chain with 1 of those annoying pins that needs a tool to install but good quality and will pretty much last me a year of hard use.

Very good chain to the cost seen! If you have two, they are convenient to switch between these and do a thorough cleaning, and always have a spare!

For the price a really sturdy chain. I've been using them for two years. Is certainly better but price-performance is absolutely right.

I used this it replace a worn chain that was regularly suffering breakages.I've gone a few hundred miles on it now without issue.

Old originals exchanged for new originals. Fulfilled what was promised. Must be riveted, if no tool should be ordered. Great price.

good chain for the price, easy to assemble, fits wonderfully, can be switched well, I would buy again at any time. Emphehlenswert!

Very good value for money. However, it doesn't come with smart links like SRAM, but I could use my old links.
