I ride a Boardman Hybrid which I love, but the saddle which came with the bike leaves a lot to be desired in the cushioning department, and a ride on any surface rougher than your standard road usually has me walking like I’ve got a bad case of the Duke of Argyles for a couple of days afterwards. After crushing my nads on yet another pothole I decided to invest in a new saddle, and after a bit of research I found myself purchasing the Selle SMP Trk.I did my first test ride this morning (12 miles) and the difference is remarkable; I live in Midlothian and often cycle along the A766 (which I affectionately refer to as The Nutcracker, given the surface clearly hasn’t been treated since around 1896),

Not all Selle saddles come in small sizes and because of the central channel, the saddle is slightly wider than normal. I bought a medium because they don't offer small for the SMP model but you can get small in others, such as the Hybrid and T2 ones, I believe. I find this slightly too wide on my racing bike so I will probably move it to my mountain bike and get a small sized one from one of the other ranges for my road bike. So it is worth going to the Selle site first where you can enter your pants/trouser size to select the correct saddle width for you.

Great saddle, looks a little odd but for good reason, the rear of the seat is so comfortable,the cutout eliminates pressure from the centre and the nose stops unwanted hangups on your shorts!Highly recommended seller, issue with size on first order but contacted me within minutes and a new saddle arrived within days! Unbelievable service especially in these times. Thanks again for your help.

very nicely made, top quality in every department which leaves your crown jewels in the same condition they were in before you started, riding is a joy again and not a life changing experience, i have two of these one on my road bike and one on my MTB, im a heavy rider at 19 stone and they take everything I throw at them, thank you SMP.

Saddle fit is about the most personal part interface on your bike, you feel it and it supports you. For me, average guy riding not-so-intensely, these are much more comfortable than anything else I've tried, including the expensive leather ones with rivets.

On a longer ride on rougher roads I would get numb gentleman's parts -- not the kind of damage you want to sustain. This sorted it out. It's both sufficiently padded and puts the pressure on the sit bones, which are designed to take it.

this is a really comfortable saddle which provides good support and plenty of options to make slight changes to riding position. The design makes it near impossible to put excess pressure on the pubic bones.

Bought this for my turbo trainer as the existing seat was getting uncomfortable. So far, this has been very good. The gap in the middle takes the pressure off the perineum which was my main objective.

From the first moment notice its great comfort, excellent finishes of this great brand. It remains to go a long distance and spend several days hitting it, but it gives me good feelings.

It is a very comfortable saddle for those of us who suffer from unbearable bone pain in the ass, if you have that problem, without a doubt this is your saddle! I use it on a 29 inch tb.

After a year of use, I can only say that I made a great purchase. The saddle is very comfortable and of very good quality, still looking new.

Fitted to my Cube mountain ebike and find it really good.Took a 2hr ride and was comfortable.Made a world of difference.

After 3 years of use, my saddle is still on top, very comfortable and has withstood the wear and tear of time very well.
