The greatest compliment I can pay is to record that I have replaced the saddles on all three of my bikes with Selle Royal gel models. I thought this 'moderate' example might seem a bit 'old man- ish' and out of place on my rather cool new Boardman road bike, but not in the least- it looks very smart indeed. I already have enough experience of these saddles to know that they are very well made and will last for years with little deterioration. Most important of course is the transformation of ride comfort, which is nothing less than amazing.Narrow bone- hard saddles may be ok on 'out and out' racing bikes with drop handlebars since the rider usually adopts a fairly horizontal riding position and for much of the time places little weight on the saddle,but any bike with straight bars imposes an upright stance and a real need for a saddle that focuses on comfort. Unfortunately it's all about style and, conveniently, it just happens that many (not all) 'racing' saddles can be dirt cheap to produce!There are actually two 'moderate' Selle Royale models, this being the narrower of the two. I fitted the wider one to a hybrid mountain bike and in my view that is as broad as should ever be necessary. Similarly a narrower saddle than this 60 degree design (as now on my Boardman) would sacrifice comfort for no real compensating advantage- that's just my opinion.There are nice details. The fixing rails have a 'corrugated' finish for extra grip on the mounting bracket and there's a loop fitting at the rear (hidden by a removable cover) that can carry a saddle bag or rear light. I have examined several makes of gel saddle: the others may be as comfortable and somewhat cheaper to buy, but they are a lot less stylish and I know I can rely on Selle Royal quaity (made in Italy). Anyway if you pay several hundred pounds for a bike it cannot be a bad thing to invest another £30 or so to quite transform the ride comfort.

That’s our way to Support Cyclists.This saddle is a coupl of centimetres wider than the one it is replacing and it's so comfortable with the Royalgel and it still looks good on my mountain bike,the saddle has a bit of give in it but not to much and takes my 96 kilo's body weight with no problems, the material seems to be of a good quality and the colour black will go with any bike.This is a good saddle for the price and would recommend it.I would ignore the following review below as they dont even know how to fit a saddle and angle the seat up or down,(2.0 out of 5 starsNo more Selle Royal.By Amazon Customer on 18 Jun. 2016Verified PurchaseThe saddle is leaning all to much forward. Getting off the standard bony, unforgiving saddle of my lovely Trek Xcaliber mountain bike and on to this far superior Italian product is kinda like making the transition from an own brand toilet paper to a Cushelle, or out of an old mini and into a Bentley - this is a lovely saddle that is worthy of its praise and now that I'm home after an hours ride I'm convinced that the first glowing review I came across was the correct diagnosis. It's a great saddle, I'll be buying more of them because it's a quality product...

A good quality saddle that is easy to fit and adjust, most importantly its COMFY. I have been using this saddle for a month now and it is just as comfortable as it was when I first used it. It will be interesting to see how durable the saddle is, but after using other Selle Royal saddles in the past that have lasted very well, I expect this one will give similar service.

I ordered the seat because my new bike seat was like Sitting on the post. I have a YT decoy mountain bike very expensive and the seat that came with it was definitely not for my liking. This seat is just a smidge bigger but the Comfort is fantastic so far it seems to be well-made I will give it update to this probably in three months but for the price definitely worth it

Very comfortable bike saddle I've tried two other makes with no success but this one is very comfortable on long rides A1 I gave it four stars because I have not found one that is a five star comfort.

Compliant but not soft. Butt doesn't slide around. Better than the my previous Lookin & I liked it too. Good customer service. Be sure to get the right saddle for your riding body angle.

excellent product, could not recommend highly enough - I am only using it occasionally and can only comment on the comfort of the saddle and not necessarily the durability

If you looking for a comfort saddle & don't like to wear cycling pants, you should buy it. I 've installed it on MTB bike & ride for 60km. No complaint on it.

Very comfortable saddle. Definitely worth upgrading from stock saddles that came with my 2020 Giant Escape 2.0 Bike.
