With summer here I decided to take a long peaceful ride into the countryside, but after only a few hours the old seat on my mountain bike started to cut into me, it became so painful I could only rest one buttock on the saddle at a time, which turned a serene day out in the countryside into absolute torture. On returning home early I immediately looked for a new saddle online, I looked at a lot and decided Selle Royal definitely looked the comfiest. I chose their 'Journey' saddle because it looked to have the best cushioning and it also had a lot of features: including ''Royalgel™', 'Foam matrix', 'Shock absorbing elastomers', 'Water resistant covering' and a 'Clip attachment'for Selle Royal's unique rear light or storage bag.On receiving the saddle I noticed straight away its high quality and how luxurious it looked and felt in my hands. It's not as big as I thought it was going to be, but big enough to park my average sized bottom on. I fitted the saddle on to my existing micro-adjust seat post to which it snugly and securely fits on to. At 25 cm wide the saddle doesn't look overly big on the bike, in fact it looks really smart, sumptuous and quite desirable, so you won't want to use a quick release clamp with this seat on your bike. I immediately took my bike out for a short test ride eager to check out its comfiness, to find it felt like I was sitting on my cushion-top mattress - it's that comfy. The following Sunday morning I again went on a long bike ride into the countryside and even after six hours out-and-about I had no pain in the derriere area at all.This saddle doesn't make a big difference, it makes a massive difference. It is now a joy to finally be able to ride long distances comfortably. I would highly recommend replacing your old saddle with this Journey Selle Royal, you won't feel pain anymore.
