I want to thank the individual who said to try both the Sanita Pro and the Dansko Pro as the Sanita was better product for less cost. Exactly right. The Dansko Pro Oiled I ordered in the 9.5-10 and I wore them around inside the house for one entire day. The left shoe hit at the top of my foot directly above the arch and it hurt so bad every time I took a step it felt as if it would be bruised at the end of the day. Yes, I have long thin, bony feet with fairly good to high arch. But should a quality shoe in the size you normally wear cause that type of pain? No. The shoe was also far too loose overall yet the length was correct. What do you do in this case? Sent them back.Re-read through a ton of reviews and found one suggesting try the Sanita Pro shoe as a comparison to the Dansko. Well, let me say there is NO comparison. The shoe is softer overall, inside and out. The insole is wonderful, the outsole is exactly identical to the Dansko but NO squeaky noise or clop clop clunking noise when I walk. I put these Sanita Pro shoes on right out of the box this am and rushed out to a doctor appointment. I then had to stop at a downtown location and walk 4-5 blocks to get to where I was going. No issue. This was over a hill and some large gravel lot parking areas. A bit tricky since i have not owned this type of clog before but didn't trip or collapse the ankle. I did do this in the Dansko Pro at my own home stepping off the porch onto rock stepping stone pathway. Argh. Right there I was sure the Dansko was going back. Back to the Sanita Pro review. I then had to drive to another location and walk another 4-5 blocks to get my hair cut. No issues. NONE. No soreness, no rubbing, nothing. I am home now and so pleased with these shoes I feel like drinking a glass of wine to celebrate! BUY THEM instead of Dansko. These are better quality, nicer feel on the foot and they are less costly. I ordered the 41 as per the other reviews instead of my normal 40. They fit me like a glove with a pair of soft fuzzy socks. I will most definitely be buying more of this brand. The reason I tried this style was a bad nerve and joint pain in the left foot big toe. There is no way to explain other than the left foot/toe feels the same as the right, which is to say I don't feel it at all. That hasn't happened in my shoes for about 3-6 months. I am getting rid of all the shoes I normally wear except my Keens and my Altra running shoes. Wonderful shoe!!

I am in love with these shoes. My friend's heart surgeon wares these and highly recommend them as do a lot of the staff at the Cleveland Clinic. I never thought I would find a shoe that does not leave me in pain. I have arthritis all thru out my body. I have had major problems with my hips, knees, ankles, feet and toes. My back always hurts. Also, I have very narrow feet and super high arches. I walk on the inside of my right foot, it is funny to watch me walk because I cannot walk a straight line. I can walk straight now. The last shoes i bought that did not hurt was when I was 18 years old. I am in my 50's now. I put on the Sanita's as soon as they were delivered. I was unsure of them,I thought they would hurt across the top of my feet, they do not. I wore them the first 2 days and had a lot of walking to do in Cleveland. On the third day I walked into my home and went about my business. About 30 minutes after I got home I realized I was still wearing shoes. I thought W.O.W. This was a big deal because usually my legs feel like lead and every joint in my body is killing me so as soon I walk in the door my shoes and socks come off I sit down and rub my feet.I did have to send the first pair back. They fit a bit small. In a normal shoe I ware a (41) 10.5- 11 so that was what I ordered. My toe was rubbing at the end of the shoe and they hurt. The second pair I got fit just right for me. They are a (42) 11.5-12. I am not sure if they are supposed to slip in the heal, mine do. They are absolutely the closest to perfect I think I have ever worn.I will buy more.

I have two pairs of Dansko clogs, but as I can only get them on visits to the USA, I thought I'd give the Sanita ones a try. I do a lot of standing around in my work (security), and clogs are more comfortable than flat shoes.Delivery was very quick, ordered on Saturday and arrived on Tuesday. I like the look of the Sanita clogs, they are well finished with no rough edges. They feel slightly narrower and tighter across the arch than the Dansko ones, but still fitted very well, and were comfortable on bare feet from the start. I've decided to wear them in slowly this time - I stupidly wore my last pair of Danskos all day on their first outing, and it wasn't a great idea! The length is as expected, with room for heel rise and toe movement, and there was no rubbing at all. Because the Sanita clogs are a little less bulky than the Dansko ones, they actually look better under jeans. First outing was successful, and I'm very happy with them. At the moment I wear them with bare feet, which is fine, but I'm hoping that once they've shaped themselves to my feet, I'll also be able to wear them with socks.Highly recommended, and at least I won't be boring my friends in the US with my searches for Danskos any more!

I bought these shoes based on a lot of positive reviews that I read about these shoes and suffers (like me) of planter faciitis. I work in the restaurant world and am on my feet in a fast paced environment all day. I was impressed that these shoes were slip resistant so I decided to give them a shot. Nearly every review I read indicated that these shoes run quite small. I typically wear an 8.5 or 9 and debated on whether to get a 40 or 41, in the end I decided to go with a 41 because my foot is a bit wider than average and I didn't want to have to send them back like many others had due to a tight fit. The shoes fit beautifully! It only took a few minutes to get used to the sliping of my heel in the shoes.I read that your index finger should fit behind your heel to allow for this motion since they are clogs. I actually think that this helps to lessen the impact on the heel which has helped to greatly reduce my soreness from the planter faciitis. The shoes feel very well made and support my feet well. I was also impressed with how quickly they arrived. I wasn't expecting them until the middle of this week but I recieved them on Saturday, in time for my busy weekend shifts!

Definitely order a size up on these. I typically wear 8-8.5 in most shoes. I listened to the other reviewers and ordered a pair of 40's. They fit perfectly. This is the first pair of clogs I've ever worn. I have to say the shoes really had to "grow" on me. If you've never worn this type of shoe before, the fit is going to be strange at first. It's a closed back shoe, but your heels should not fit snug. Didn't know that at first and thought the shoes were too big! They should be able to move up and down as you walk. You want about a pinky's width of room between the back and your heel. The shoe also doesn't bend. Instead, there's more of a "rocking" motion to it.Aside from that, these shoes are comfortable beyond compare. Toe room is ample and there's good arch support (even for my flat feet!). Unfortunately, they're not the most fashion forward shoes. It definitely takes some experimenting to figure out what looks good with them. I think they look great with pants or skinny jeans. Still not so sure about skirts and dresses... Honestly, the comfort and health benefits outweigh this setback. And this is coming from a woman in her early twenties.

I love these shoes, truly. But, when the reviewers say they run small, they are not lying! I wear an 8 1/2, so I ordered a 39, and the shoes feel narrow. I had to shove my foot into them. Once on, they felt tight. I considered wearing them around the house, hoping they would stretch a little; however, I decided not to chance it. I exchanged for a size a 40. The new shoes arrive tomorrow, and I will update my review then.Update, 8/14/13: After accidentally exchanging for a 40W, I finally received my size 40 Sanitas. I feel like Goldilocks, but they fit PERFECTLY! From the first moment I walked in them, they were comfortable; there will be no break in period for me! I have Plantar Fasciitis in both feet, and I anticipate that these shoes will be a dream for my foot given the excellent arch support that I feel right. As a teacher, I am on my feet all day. I am actually excited about wearing these shoes! I definitely recommend these shoes. If anything changes, I will let you know.

I did a lot of research before finally deciding to buy and after wearing them for a few weeks I can really say that I love them. They are not the best for a lot of walking but are wonderful for spending a lot of time on your feet. Yesterday I worked a 12 hour shift and then spent 3 hours on my feet in the kitchen at home. These shoes made it possible! I bought the oiled leather since I'd read reviews of the patent leather peeling. They look really nice and I can wear them with both scrubs and slacks. The arch support is very strong which was something that took getting used to. Based on other reviews I also bought a size larger than I normally might (I wear a 9-9&1/2 shoe and I bought a 41).The top of the shoe can be tight on your foot (especially in thicker socks) so I am glad I went with a larger size, even after breaking them in. I can tell they are very high quality and I look forward to several years of wearing them.

I really love these shoes! As other suggested, I ordered a size bigger than I normally wear. I am a size 9 and ordered the 40/9.5. When I first tried them on, I was a bit worried because they were tight across the top of my foot and didn't feel all that comfortable. I wore them around the house and the discomfort went away. I was still a little hesitant because of some reviews so carried them to wear at work and was surprised how comfortable they still felt at the end of the day. They might seem a bit hard to get your foot in the first couple of times you wear them but the material really gives so they are not tight on your feet.I often find it hard to find a comfortable shoe and have left many a shoe store empty handed. These have become my go-to comfort shoe and I am heading back to order another pair in another color.

I expected this to fit too snugly so I ordered up a size and it's just right. Super comfortable the very first day. I ended up having to walk rathe a long distance in them the first day, and was surprised and so pleased at how accommodating thes clogs are. Not so big that they flop around, but big enough to not hurt at all.I like the nubby leather I chose, mine are black and I may even buy another pair sometime in a brown. I down feel they are too sleep baby to wear in a work or restaurant situation. They look nice!My only concern is the slightly spongy material the sole and heel are made of. I recently had the heel break off of a pair of official ce type shoes that used similar material. But those were another brand so these may not have that problem at all. I hope, because I really like these close-ended clogs.

I absolutely love these work clogs. This is my second pair of them. The first time I purchased them at DSW for $120, and felt nervous making such a big purchase, but I figured that I needed great shoes since I spend the majority of time on my feet. It takes about 2-3 weeks for them to break in properly, so don’t give up, the leather will mold to your feet and eventually fit just like a glove. I now find myself wearing them at home just to throw on to do simple housework. They lasted well over a year with all the wear and tear I put on them. I still have my other pair, but since I found this great deal on Amazon, I decided to reward myself with a new pair for my birthday! I also got my daughter, who is also a Mdocal Assistant, a pair for her birthday! We love them!

I did my research prior to purchasing my next pair of clogs. I used to be a B.O.C fan but over time the clog split down the middle. I bought them at macy's they were comfy but my heel would roll out. I loved the B.O.C because they cater to petite small foots but the cracking of the heel is not safe. I love my Sanita clogs and I'm never going back to B.O.C. The arch support I get is like I'm walking on a cloud of support. I love the oil leather very stylish and professional. Wore them around the house first to break them in and they fit perfectly now. I wore them for the first time to work got compliments within an hour of starting my shift. I tried Dansko before and personally I don't like them they fit me weird.I love sanita can wait to buy my next pair.

I wear a size US 9, and sometimes can fit into a US 8.5, so I went for a pair of Sanita's in size 39. Upon arrival, I could tell they were too small before I even put them on. After a lot of pushing, I was able to force my foot inside. Completely uncomfortable, but I love the oil-rubbed brown leather -- it is gorgeous, and actually quite hip compared to the orthopedic "workers" clogs on the market. I need a work shoe being a server, so I ordered the same pair in a size 40. They are slightly large; I am guessing I am a 39.5 -- but half sizes are not available in Euro sizing! I'm sticking with the size 40s and pairing them up with some no-show socks to ensure they stay on my feet while walkingaround :)

Though snug in the beginning, they stretch just enough to provide a comfortable fit that I can wear all day. I also purchased a Dansko pair at the same time and those run bigger, wider and longer. I tried Sanita after learning that the Dansko clogs I loved, were made by Sanita, back when I first bought them in 2004. I feel the difference now. I prefer Sanita clogs. My feet are not wide nor are they narrow, but sizing is as personal as it gets so I encourage one to try both if they can, and purchase with the option of free return shipping. I kept the Dansko pair for home use but the Sanita clogs I wear out and they are comfortable all day. I will only buy Sanita in the future.

I really like these shoes. I was cautioned by the reviews to buy a bigger size, and the bigger size fits pretty well. I might have even been able to buy my regular size since this bigger size is a little roomy in places. I like the coloring and comfort of this shoe. I already bought this shoe several months ago, and it has held up quite well. I want to get a new version since it is looking a little worn down. I found this shoe more price-reasonable than alternative vegan shoes, and as a vegan, I am very happy to be buying vegan clothing and shoes along with the vegan food I normally eat. Overall, I really like this shoe for comfort, appearance, price, and vegan-consciousness.

I’m glad I took a chance on an Amazon Warehouse pair with a “defect or scuff” on top...I opened the box to a pristine pair that fit perfectly. Perhaps the “defect” is the visible line where the inner lining is adhered to the inside of the toe—the leather’s a little different there, but not what I’d call a defect or scuff. I’ve saddle-soaped and oiled with whatever mink oil is called these days and any “difference” is even more negligible now. This is the first pair of Sanitas I’ve ordered in which both feet fit perfectly—there’s not one foot more snug than the other. I’ve been wearing them for nearly two months now and they might be my favorite pair.
