As I'm doing a lot of architectural photography at the moment, I decided to go for this lens as it is the only one available in Pentax fitting. It arrived from Poland less than a week after ordering, nicely packaged. After ordering I made the mistake of watching a YouTube video saying it was dreadful. Had I made a mistake? The lens is well built and heavy. Some say the locking knobs are too small, but they do the job. The pictures are sharp, I even took one wide open (many say NEVER do that) and they're as good as my Sony compact. Down to f5.6 they are very sharp indeed. I am delighted. Focusing is easy, just set it to manual and listen for the beep. It's virtually as quick as autofocus. My KP wouldn't work with it at first so i investigated, and you have to change a setting in the menus (can't remember what, it doesn't need to be changed back so i've only seen it once). Exposure is automatic too, set shutter priority and the camera does the rest when it's stopped down. The movements take some practice, as is their nature, and set them to normal when you've finished or sometimes you can't remove the lens from the camera, as it hits the camera body overhang. No problem, just reset them and remove the lens.Very happy with this lens indeed.Read full review...

For half the price on the deal from Kacha over an OEM lens from Canon or Nikon this Samyang is worth a look. If you've ever wanted to explore what a tilt-shift can do then this is a not overly expensive solution. The sharpness is good, easy to use (fully manual only) and feel smooth in operation. It's not optically perfect, very soft when on large aperture but get sharp from f8. The ability to rotate the features through stops alloys curious artistic exploration, don't think you'll be the next Polly Chandler with such a lens it is not flexible enough but landscapes become more believable and architecture is optically correct before you even commit to a frame and then you can start doing crazy things with depth of field, for the more learned you can play with the Scheimpflug principle. If you're a pro and earn your living from architectural work this lens might not be good enough but for me, where I bought it to explore the concept I'm happy.Read full review...
