This is my third paradiver bag having bought the black knapsack and jeansblue cabin bag last year from another retailer. I have been very impressed thus far and my friends think I have impeccable taste! ?I have now purchased the large jeansblue version to hopefully replace my suitcase. It's HUGE! Whilst I did check the measurements before ordering and double checked the pictures I was still caught off-guard by its sheer size. Sadly, I can easily go over airline standard of 23kg without filling this bag! Keep in mind it already weighs almost 3kg whilst empty. <----- Much lighter than my suitcase though. My one critique of the bag itself would be the lack of compartmental subdivision.A small trade-off for keeping the bag as light as possible I guess. But I think a bag this size needs to help keep things orderly especially if it's not going to be filled to capacity. Maybe some inner mesh netting could have helped. I was aware of this before buying it though. Also DO NOT CHECK ship in amazon box! OMG, The amazon box was 3 times what was needed and it sooooo was NOT needed. The duffle came in its own brown box and was not visible at all. Such a waste of resources and shipping space. I now have a humongous task of cutting up a disposing a massive amount of cardboard. The bag itself is of great quality and workmanship. I will put to the test with 2 trans-atlantic flights over this busy holiday period. So if you fly frequently and can pack frugal then opt for the medium size version. If you you usually pack 10 Tshirts for 2 days and could never decide which shoes carry then the large is definitely for you! ?DONT TAKE THE EXTRA AMAZON PACKAGING!UPDATE 16 JAN 2017:These bag really performed well! I am very impressed!1. Everything I would normally pack went into the duffle... it was still just under 23KG, a first for me!2. Baggage handlers and conveyor belts tried to rough up my duffle, it came out upside down after both flights, dusted it off with my hand, immediately looked brand new! NO SCUFF MARKS unlike my fancy suitcase!Really glad I made this purchase!Upgrading review to 5 stars!

My duffle has replaced both a large holdall and a worn-out suitcase of a similar capacity. It weighs far less than the case did and so far has proved ideal for weekending. Now it has been taken on its first ‘serious’ trip.I have found that as it is soft it can expand to accommodate how much you pack in it. Although I travel light mine was well-overloaded for a 2.5 weeks vacation, mostly lightweight shirts, shorts, socks, underwear in addition to a pair of trousers, a pair of shoes and a wash bag, leaving me concerned that the main zip might fail, but all was well after being in the luggage hold on 5 flights. My travel mirror got cracked but I’m pretty sure that happened when I sat on the lid of the case to help close it.I left the backpack straps at home.Although I am used to backpacking with a purpose-made rucksack I would not like to carry this duffle fully laden on my back (it was just short of 12kg for my trip). But I then found I could stuff more clothing into the pocket for the straps! All in all I am happy with the product, but I am dropping a star for the largely useless side pockets which are so small. Their maximum length is approximately 30cm, with a zip 24cm, and they are little more than an extra layer on the sides of the duffle. You dare not put anything in them which can get damaged. Suggestions on a postcard, please. Similarly, the lid pocket is very shallow, and while it is approximately 54cm long its zip is only 24cm, so you are limited with what you can put in it and again it can not be anything which might get damaged.

Just finished using this for several months of travels. Really good carry on suitcase that doubles as a backpack.Sometimes it's just inconvenient to wheel a suitcase and there are times when you need both hands free or want to move quickly to places. This back pack is top tier for that. The straps are not the most comfortable, you won't be doing hiking with something like this, but they're absolutely fine for short transits between places like airports/train stations or going through cities.I've looked around and this pack is the cheapest robust suitcase with backpack straps that I've found, there are some eagle creek and osprey wheeled backpacks but they are £££££ and are smaller and primarilybackpacks that have wheels rather than suitcases with backpack straps. Also very happy with the extra straps, compartments and water proofing of the case. Each feature has been very convenient and the waterproofing has saved my clothes when caught out in a downpour. It's also super duper light in terms of suitcases.Would buy again, and when this one wears out will purchase the newest model.

This is the perfect carry-on for the budget airlines like Ryanair and Easyjet, which have some of the most restrictive policies. A 55X40X20 bag that holds 48L is unique among carry-ons. The only one I find beats it is a Briggs & Riley which has a compression system and holds 55L, but is still over 22cm wide when empty and costs 3 times more. This one has two wheels only, which gives extra interior space when compared to a spinner, and a single handle which also saves interior space. I've used it for week-long trips to China, NY, and around Europe as my only bag, meaning I'm off the plane and into a taxi well before anyone waiting for their bags to arrive, and no stress as others wonder if their bags will arrive. My only complaint is a silly one buy annoying - the rubber logos on the sides make it catch on the seats as I drag it down the aisle of plane. I taped them over.

It’s like a tardis inside, apart from it doesn’t come with a time travelling doctor within..Lightweight and durable. I have the smaller cabin carry on paradiver (old model) and it’s been around the world on hundreds of trips and still going strong. I wanted a medium size hold luggage so I bought this new model slightly larger one, actually I bought two - denim and yellow. If using this as checked in hold luggage you should line the sides with shoes when you pack to create some rigidity as it’s mostly a soft case apart from the bottom and the bottom return.Size wise it’s only around 50% larger volume than the carry on model but is a fantastic size for a 1 week break. I can pack in 3 pairs of trousers maybe 6 ymtbahirts,4 shirts, 3 pairs of shoes, large wash bag, day bag rucksack, portable music system, electrical items, bag of sun screen etc and still hve room left.

I have now used this case on three separate trips. First impressions, well made, functional and very light weight. The case resembles the tarnished in as much as the interior is so much larger, than you expect or than it looks, Mary Poppins would be impressed.Wheels are smooth and quiet and well protected. I always prefer two wheels as oppose to a spinner type construction, where I have been left with three wheels on my wagon. The handle is solid and has a good grip. The external storage pockets are well positioned and of a good size. The one internal zipped section is useful, although a second section would be useful.I have travelled with 4 different airlines and have had no issues with using this as hand luggage on all flights.Would I recommend this product, yes well worth the money.

My husband bought the yellow version of this bag at the airport on our way to a previous holiday and I loved it straight away. Not too big, yet incredibly spacious, and it has both wheels and straps to make it into a backpack! This bag ticks all the boxes, as well as being water repellent. I'm not sure it will be accepted as hand luggage on all low-cost airlines once you've stuffed the bag to the gills, but it should be fine as carry-on on long haul flights. When buying the bag you need to pay close attention to the configuration: this bag exists in two very similar versions. One has the backpack option, and the other doesn't: make sure you buy the correct one. I nearly ended up accidentally buying the non-backpack version, even though I knew exactly which one I wanted to buy!

This is an excellent carry-on bag with good capacity and very flexible carrying options. it can be rolled, carried as a backpack or slung over the shoulder messenger style; and has plenty of grab handles lift in and out of spaces. The materials are tough and durable, and there are several side pockets for small items, water bottles and a sleeve for larger documents or small laptop.I've had a lot of comments that it looks too big for carry-on luggage, but so long as it isn't overstuffed it fits into the required dimensions for Ryanair, Easy jet etc.I've had this a couple of years and used it for a dozen trips or more and it's still good as new.

Very happy with this bag.Light weight. Stylish. Very good design. Fabric feels robust. Wheels are well-sized and, unlike spinner wheels, unlikely to break easily. Fits well within most major airlines cabin baggage requirements. Has quite a bit of internal packing space - enough for a basic 2-3 day / weekend trip.As of writing this review, the bag has made a few international trips by plane and train and has stood up to baggage handling very well as it still looks like new.A bonus is that not too many other people seem to have bought this model of case yet, so it is currently very easy to spot.

It's a good piece of kit!I like the ability to roll along and then a couple of snaps later you can wear it as a backpack. Very useful when you're up and down the stairs at the airport. The outside is pretty waterproof and there's plenty of space and pockets.I did worry that the case looked a lot larger than other passengers carry ons, but even when full it fits in the overhead lockers fine and comforms. The wheels are sturdy and robust. All the parts are solidly made. It's pricey but I can see me using this case for every trip for a long time.Would recommend.

Trolley fornthe train then a backpack once I pickup my bike, just excellent. The thin rubber slices on the handle are missing two on each side that cover the screw holes due to wear, so expect that if you buy but it's no bige.Mine gets some serious use as I travel weekly to london and its lasted well.I easily expect another couple of years out of this bag/backpack.Be careful when buying as the descriptions can be vague, the same bag that's only slightly larger is almost identical apart from it does not have the backpack feature.

SAMSONITE - is always my NO.1 choice for luggage - reliable, safe, strong, and super-cooland the PARADIVER LIGHT DUFFLE is definitely my best ever CABIN hand-luggage - exactly the right size for EASY JET + RYANAIR (at the time of purchase) and the WHITE colour looks super cool, and even more importantly the bright colour stands out in the lockers on the plane, so no-one will take it by mistake. Everyone buys black cases, which can be easily mixed up; but this one definitely belongs to you!!

It worked well for my purpose while on an amazing Safari in the Serengeti. We were only allowed a maximum of 15 kgs and it had to be a soft bag, so this was good. One criticism is there is no way of locking the top section. The top section was useful on the safari itself for dirty laundry but had to be emptied for the flight home. Another minor criticism is it became a trifle unbalanced when being pulled but these were minor criticisms as by and large it is a well made quality duffle bag.

I used this on my recent trip to Scotland. Does what it says on the tin. The side pockets were invaluable for storring stuff like receipts or anything which was needed in a hurry.no use for the backpack handles at present but it’s nice to know they’re there if needed. I saw quite a lot of the yellow version of this one at the airport. The handle feels quite premium and you feel like you’re in charge of a really luxury cabin case.I’d recommend it to other people for sure.

such fancy bag, has everything i need. Huge space, sturdy, AMAZING trolley handle (has the rubber padding, feels amazing), wheels quiet, and looks amazing. I returned the bag though cuz I needed a laptop backpack/trolley that I would use as backpack most of time, so this one is a little too heavy for me. It'll be a great trolley, but i wouldn't wanna use it as backpack too much.. So I ended up buying a 1.7kg one that's only 45GBP, and I love it.
