I used it as directed, with wet hair at the roots. I used a few squirts spread out, shouldn't of put it on the top of my part though, makes it look wet after it's been dried. Had to work it into my hair better so it didnt look as greasy. It does give lift to my natural straight flat hair, so I'm happy with it overall.
