I come from the old school - black football boots all the way, but this is just not the fashion anymore. Even the most mediocre Premiership player seems to wear coloured boots; shouting "Look at me I am a multi-millionaire', but inside knowing that they are unknown except for those fans of the club. Kids like to mimic their heroes and let’s hope that these are following the more truly world class players and not a junior squad member for Stoke. The 'Puma Unisex Future' boots are a great set of boots that shout look at these, but are thankfully also a very good design.The first thing you will notice is the Day-Glo colour, this makes them standout and hard to lose in the house,but with all the vibrant colours on offer in a typical boot room today, they still don't stand out too much! The colour and pattern are fashion and do nothing to actually help you play. Puma have done a great job of backing up their bark with some bite. There is a texture and series of ridges that help you hit the ball a little cleaner and harder – think a modern take on the Predator boot. The boot itself is made from some sort of synthetic toughened plastic/fabric that is very light and durable. They are easy to clean, but the thin material does make you more prone to a metatarsal break when compared to the hobnailed boots I used to play in as a child.The studs are hardened plastic and integrated into the boot. At size 4.5 many children will grow out of these boots before the studs are replaced, but as a unisex boot some player's feet may never go higher than this and the boots could be required to last a long time. The inside of the boot has a soft material integrated, so is a very comfy fit. The back of the boot just comes up to the ankle, so you may want to think about shin pads that also cover the side of your ankles.Overall, the 'Puma Future 18.4' are a very impressive set of football boots that mimic the look and feel of the adult version. For an adult with smaller feet, these are certainly an option themselves for a lightweight and easy to clean pair of football boots that give off a little 'look at me' appeal.

These kids football boots from Puma are comfortable, extremely lightweight, with good grip for grass surfaces. They have a very well cushioned sole and the studs can't be felt through it like with some cheaper shoes. The outers are entirely synthetic and with breathable mesh around the ankle. In a downpour they definitely won't be waterproof though! My only concern is durability of the material as it seems very thin. The advantage however is in comfort and minimal weight. Time will tell. The design is eye catching and will be the envy of everyone on the football pitch!

My son loves these. He's eleven and they are slightly too big for him, but once he has his football socks on they fit fine.The pattern is a bit headache inducing, but as others have pointed out these are the nature of boots nowadays. They just used to be plain black in my day. In fact, it looks a bit weird nowadays if a player wears black boots.They seem well made and it's worth pointing out these aren't leather, they are some sort of soft synthetic material.Good quality and great looks as you would expect from Puma

My nephew is over the moon with these, despite being an Addidas fanboy, he’s fallen in love with these and is now proudly showing them off.They are typical high quality Puma in every way. Well made and feel tough yet light, high quality leather and finish inside the shoe and look like they will last a while.Priced easily along side similar offerings from the usual rival brands, they are worth it.

Great fun coloured shoes for football and the quality is robust- easy to spot in a busy sports changing room.
