I was hesitant to order this product because many people complained about the splashing of the water and the use of rubber bands to attach it to your bike. First off, if you purchase this, you will need to also buy a profile design aero drink mounting bracket. The bracket doesn't come with this drink system. The rubber bands do just fine at holding the water bottle secure in the mounting bracket. I have raced with this system many times and have never had the yellow sponge fall out. Yes, there is a little splashing, but only when the bottle is full and when I hit really large bumps. Even then, it's not a big deal, since I only keep water in there, so it doesn't bother me.

I installed aero bars on my bicycle more to hold this bottle than to actually ride in the aerodynamic position. It is great to be able to conveniently sip hydration instead of bending down to unhook your bottle and return the bottle to a cage system.I attached a Camelback bite valve to the end of the straw. This keeps the liquid level up in the straw. I also view it as a safety modification. That plastic straw is placed to pierce my throat in a wreck. That added rubber stopper at the end gives me more confidence I won't end up with a bleeding neck or a punctured wind pipe.Highly recommended.

This is the 2nd profile design aero drink bottle I have bought- I have not been able to find a better one than this (did a lot of research). My first one fell off the bike and cracked. Definitely be careful that the bottle is securely fastened between your aerobars. Other than that, it is a very convenient way to drink and maintain your aero position. My only other complaints are that the lid seal decreases over time and there is some splashing that occurs. But then again I haven't used the yellow spongy splash guard, as it decreases the amount of water I can carry.

I use the profile aero bottles because my bike only has one bottle cage. My previous Profile bottle did not have a lid so I ordered this one to prevent spillage while going over bumps, leaning my bike too far, etc.it works exactly the same as the previous models...and it holds your precious liquids INside the bottle instead of splashed all over you and your bike.i gave it 4 stars because you still have to use the mesh insert...or else the liquid will still bounce right our the small slits in the lid!

I love the Aero Drink system; also purchased with the aero bar bracket. It doesn't keep water totally cold, but I'd rather have the lighter more aero design of this one compared to the insulated one. Despite Amzn's product page this does indeed come with all the parts: straw, tube extension for straw, and mesh net for the splash guard.

I'm very pleased with this aero drink system, I used it with the elastic bands and it's very stable. I used the cap and not the yellow sponge. The only negative point is that when you fall into a hole on the road, liquid can come out of the bottle, especially when it's filled up. I recommend it.

Great bottle, used the whole system. Very convenient. It did break on my second Tri and I lost my bottle. but I will be purchasing another system because I haven't found a better one.

Got this for my wife's road bike. She loves it. She doesn't like reaching down for a water bottle during a tri. This system fits the bill.

I have this on my felt bike and it works like a charm. very aerodynamic and puts the water right were i need it. highly recommended.

Awesome product with xlnt customer service. Liquids will warm up on hot days so I also got the insulated version from same company.

Leaks out both holes, as people said. I fixed the straw hole with some rubber moulding stuff i have. Suguru.
