A very easy to use and well designed light. It would have gotten 5 stars but the activation lever on mine likes to fall off at times. It's not the brightest on the market, but I'm not into brightness, I just need enough like to work by while camping. The lower lumen level allows a long burn time, even with rechargeable batteries. The various settings and red LED give you the ability to tailor your light to the setting you need for doing anything from reading in your tent or hammock to splitting wood and woodcrafting at night. I especially like the broad beam setting for giving you plenty of light for your peripheral vision when navigating at night. I've owned and still own several other models and makes, but this is the one that always goes in my pack. The band is comfortable and easy to use, the activation system is superior to the push button of most others, and the many modes can be a real battery saver. You won't be upset by it's performance unless you are looking for big lumens.

I was waiting until I took this thing out before I reviewed it.I took this headlamp out in the back country over an extended weekend, and it performed flawlessly. I like that the controls are a very simple knob, vs a button push. This keeps the lamp from accidentally being activated when squished in the pack. The knob turns are as follows:Setting 1- offSetting 2- red lightSetting 3- offSetting 4- Low white lightSetting 5- Brighter white lightSetting 6- Really brightSetting 7- Very bright spot lightThe band is soft and comfortable enough to wear against your skin, though I did wear it over my beanie too. The head swivels up and down, so you can direct the beam straight out to right in front of you with ease.I used it for long periods over many nights, and the batteries show no sign of slowing.Overall I am very pleased, great simple product, well designed.

This is my favorite Headlamp I have ever owned. It's a simple no nonsense, light weight headlamp for a great price. My favorite feature is the fact that the Sync uses a knob to operate the light instead of a button. This makes it easy to use and quick to adjust your light to fit your needs. The sync also generates a respectable amount of light and has a couple different setting based on max power, long range light, wide range light, up close light and a red light. I have bought a few as gifts for friends because they are amazing. I'm actually on my second one because my first Sync had a battery leak inside it and I don't plan to buy any other type of headlamp again.

Just the light I was looking for. After seeing it in Backpacker magazine and winning their Editor's Choice 2015, I just had to have it. Granted it isn't the brightest light I could have bought, but I didn't buy it all for the lumens. I bought it because it has a dial on/off operation instead of the button on/off. Turning the dial is easier with gloves on than trying to push button with gloves on, we have all been there right. I tested it soon as it came in and retested it in the dark both with gloves on. Also with the dial if I pass the mode I want to use I just click it back instead of having to push through all the modes to get back to it. Good job Princeton....

This is my 4th Princeton Tec light. I was hesitant to get the one with the red light, now I wish I had done it sooner. Using the red light feature at night is much better. It does not blind others around camp when you approach but provides ample light for projects around camp. I love this lamp and will buy more for my family. The multiple settings for the white light are great. You can get close illumination or far away. Many options and long battery life. Highly Recommend.

This is a nice budget friendly headlamp, I like the uncomplicated turn the knob style. I have some much more expensive headlamps that are too complicated to use while wearing gloves or for children that really have no interest in how cool all of the swipe functions are. They just want a light to turn on and work. The flood light function of this headlamp is perfect for general use. This headlamp is priced well and a real bargain based on the functions and ergonomics.

I've used Princetontec headlamps for over a decade. They have never failed me. In fact I still have the first one I bought over 10 years ago and it still works great. This one seems to have the same high quality construction and design. The red light is nice and bright. Definitely 90 lumens for sure. Save your night vision and get these, and use the red light. Also nice to read books in bed at night as the red light won't keep anyone else awake.

Love that this light can be turned to lock-out mode. Also like that the first selection is Red lights. The dial is great and easily operated one handed. Does not drain batteries if left in like other brands do. I've had the same batteries in over a month and used on a couple trips and it's still bright. 90 lumen is plenty bright enough for night backpacking and around camp.

Adjusts from just enough light to super-bright, plus the option of the red LED. I love the rotary switch instead of a push button. It's comfortable to wear and has a good range of adjustment. A very good value, and even better since it's made in USA!

Got obe of these for my base xamp in a bag. Never thought I would like it as much as I do. Not the brighest light in the world but for hiking and camping it fits the bill. Still going stong and the battery life is the highlight of this light!

Great headlamp for the price. Doal.operation makes it super easy to change modes. Not fantastically bright but good enough to do the job around the campsite.

Excellent torch but it has a tendency to turn itself on if stored in a daysack. Not great for light discipline or battery life.

Great light! Rock switch one way for red, other way for white light. Very bright white too. A great value!
